I used Game Maker 8.0, so I really have no opportunity to port the game. Sorry...
Ahh, need a Web port. May be someone with Game Maker: Studio can help me?
Thanks, everyone! It seems that it was worth that 3 sleepless nights ;D
@[-BipolarDesign+], I am definitely going to expand the current features range. I am even thinking of a post-compo version with some music and procedural rooms generation.
@esayitch, it works fine for me... But I re-uploaded it anyway.
I'm also glad to say the Web port is coming out soon!
Thank you for your feedback!
@Diptoman, you don't really loose your items after death...
@Linusson, yes, definitely there's a small delay between the time you've actually pressed a key and the time you can press it again. That's a combat system feature.
And a bad news: I have a huge problem with porting, as... I am afraid the Web version is never out. Soooo sorry for that
Thanks so much for your comments!
@Empyrealhell, yeah, that's really annoying even for me, but this feature hopefully makes battling multiple enemies a way harder.
@wally2069, some areas (such as small prison rooms near spawn) can be reached only by waiting for the walls to crush. But basically you don't have to wait till that happends to proceed to the next location and finish the game.
By the way, guys, has anyone...
- finsihed the game by killing the final boss?
- been to the throne room or to the treasury?
- tryed to walk into the web in the spawn location?
- spotted the potion effect?
@SnoringFrog, Chrome does the same thing in my case. However, you can still save the zip. Or, if it gives you no option for that, try turning off phishing and malware detection:

@CoopNasty, @Phaix, @pirate-rob, working on a post-compo version, that features more levels and sandbox achievements.
Fun & challenging! Love that minimalism in numbers and roguelikish "so-easy-to-die" mood.
Upgrading speed doesn't seem to give you any extra moves though. And is there a way to enter those first-area rooms?..
Magical. Finishing the game gives you a very special feeling like you've been to the other dimension. The last time I had such an impression was beating Braid.
Definitely atmospheric and beautiful, but incredibly hard to control.
This is nice, I like the card system. Was able to make it to hero #29 with two cards per "turn" as a skeleton.
If you are planning on a post-jam version, some sort of ending would be probably nice to have. And more content variety, be that cards or hero "types". I think this leaves some space for experimentation.
Here holding the key down works, I'm assuming that it dispatches keyboard events on the rate set by the system.
Attempting to move to the top edge of map caused the screen to fill with bushes while a "indexsizeerror" has popped up in the javascript console.
This is adorable, love the little dinosaurs and the chaos they cause. The music is also pleasantly fitting. All in all has some great potential as a "party game".
Pretty cool. Innovative mechanic and stunning visuals. Good luck with this one!
@DragonGino, @CrownCity, multiplayer is working! Just bring your friends! You need one person to host the game (and to forward a UDP port) and the others would be able to join!
@grywhttl, unfortunately, porting to Mac means purchasing
Mac Developer Program, whic we cannot afford right now. Sorry!
Thanks a lot for all your feedback!
Simply outstanding. Clever design, stylish minimalistic art and so much fun to play!
This is so awesome, hard to think of anything not to like.
Also some very noteworthy puns in those dialogue options :)
The scale is impressive, as well as the visuals and the audio. But well, that elevator... it have been giving me enough time to have a cup of coffee.
Excellent visuals and audio. You are going to rock this Ludum Dare, guys.
As a huge roguelike fan, I did expect a little bit more challenge and variety in enemies and items. Enjoyed the nostalgic mood though!
Visual effects are stunning, really. The stealth-based gameplay is also fun and challenging. Such an amazing game!
Fun, challenging and innovative! The visuals are great as well. Good luck with this one!
Download link currently yields "The open folder can no longer be viewed, the folder you were viewing no longer exists or you no longer have permission to access it".
So beautiful and so nostalgic!
The little dragon looks cute. Am curious to see where you'll take this.
The low-poly cityscape is nice.
The process of grabbing and throwing things is very satisfactory.
The way camera tilts on a side when turning is weird, also could use mouselock for windowed mode.
The story has a few typos here and there.
Overall rather interesting.
Nice little game. The engine has some problems with collisions and the level seems a little bit too repetitive, but overall it's definitely a solid entry.
Could have gone with a bit more instructions. And maybe a web player build if that is doable / works with gamepads.
