Loved it! It doesn't have a lot to do with the theme, though :P
Put an http in front of your link!
Great fun all-round
Remember to put an http in front of your link!
Very scary, but a bit vague with a lack of real gameplay! Loved the graphics, the setting, and the mood, but you really should have taken advantage of the extra day offered by the Jam and expanded on it.
Best game I've played - absolutely fantastic! Good fun, awesome music, epic graphics and kittens! Loved the motion blur especially.
Looks like it would be fun if you liked that sort of thing, but this is my first time playing a roguelike and I guess I just like newer graphics more. I constantly got killed by things I wasn't aware of =/
Package it as a standalone
Very fun, stupidly addictive and overall awesome!
I didn't particularly enjoy it because of the annoying acceleration mechanics, was frustrating a lot of the time.
A few gameplay tweaks could have made it more interesting, but I liked it
Respawn points plox! :P Funny, good idea, great game overall!
Nice idea, but it would be helpful to move your camera so you can see whether there is a platform below. A bit short.
Funny, the music sets an excellent mood along with the graphics, I like it
A game for grins but not for lols, simple but solid
Short and sweet! Great effort for your first game ever! (I know because this LD was also my first game ever!)
Would be amazing if you had made more than the intro!
Fantastic - I couldn't finish it, though, because some parts were frustrating/addicting and I suck :) Shame about the lack of community interaction
I have no idea what you are supposed to dear or how to do it
Loved it, but what is relevant to "alone" in it?
I cannot open it - whenever I run the jar, in processes "javaw" appears for <1 sec then disappears, and without task manager I see nothing happening at all.
Stupidly addictive!
Crashes my browser!
My browser is Chrome, btw
I can play it now! You move way too slowly, but it's pretty fun
Looks like it would have been a good game, but instakill planet bugs and crazy physics make it incredibly frustrating to play. Making some form of seeing how fast you were going would be good - nonstatic stars?
Missing dll!
Don't have python!
Windows builds please!
Nice idea, was fun to play
Nice idea, like the level editor a lot.
Yay, a fellow Ogre3d user! I used this for my entry, except mine was extremely primitive as I had little experience with it before =/ However I have missing dlls apparently
Good idea, stable shame. Shame about the lack of community participation
Shame about the lack of gameplay, looks like it could have been good
I definitely learned a lot from this!
It was working fine for me and a few testers without the msvcr100 dll inside. One of my friends wanted to play it and was missing that dll, so I put it inside the bin so you don't have to install vc++ redist - it still works for me. You say it worked as soon as you removed the dll? (adding the dll didn't fix my friend's problem)
Added 2 up-to-date dlls, I had someone test it and it now works fine, tell me of any issues. You don't die randomly - read the instructions (I didn't have time to make a health bar ingame)
There was going to be a flashing red screen or something to show when you get hit, and a health bar, but no time! :(
Nice! Gameplay is fun but a bit uncontrollable, it's often random whether you die or not because you can't get out of the way.
I love the sounds!
Do not know how to run this, only have source link
+1 for love2d. Found it really enjoyable to play ;-)
The music was excellent, and really created an atmosphere. I found that the lack of instructions also added to the exploration. The beginning was slow and I found the ending was slightly too abrupt, I was expecting some eerie message to match the game.
found it very tricky, only managed level 6 in 10 minutes of playing. Thought that there should be more ways of healing, but overall liked it.
How do I run this!
REALLY DIFFICULT! I could not get past the first level in 10 minutes of playing.
I loved it, but ragequit on the line of sight puzzle. I really think you shouldn't use up an ability if it doesn't affect anything. Really fun.
I liked the idea, but the speed was too low and the momentum loss was too great. If it was based around massive speed this would have been really enjoyable.
There wasn't much element of gameplay except "hold mouse down and move". I killed everything, only losing a tiny amount of health.
Complex gameplay for 48 hours! Hard to get into at first, but worth it.
Shame there was no real gameplay. The audio and graphics were good.
Haha, I plan on playing this later. Board game for ludum dare ftw!
Has potential, but the randomness makes it annoying to play.
It was sort of just walking forwards and collecting parts... Everything was nice except the actual gameplay! ;-(
I really enjoyed playing it, the only trouble was the dying counter which made me restart from the beginning which deterred me from starting again.
Would be nice if there was some indication of range.
A good idea, executed well and strangely addicting! There should have been some kind of "reload" time between jumps, so if you jumped to another planet and held down space for too long you wouldn't immediately jump back.
Gameplay had a lot of potential but ended up being fairly simply, presumably because of lack of time. Nice GUI elements, and the sound as well as graphics made it very addictive and strangely calm.
Liked the graphics, but the music gets annoying. Interesting idea.
Download is broken.
Fairly fun, but the lack of fluency with the movement is *really* frustrating and, as you say, there is not much variety so it gets boring after a while.
I would like more than one life... I spent about 10 minutes on the game and I couldn't get past the first 20 seconds. I can't rate the jetpack part because I couldn't get onto it...
Found the cheat code, but the next part would never load. I'm leaving it unrated for now.
1116 :-( Strangely addicting. It would have been nice to have some kind of powerup or ability that can give some extra complexity to use at certain points, like teleporting across a wall or blowing up a group of enemies. It was nicely balanced, challenging but not impossible... except I suck.
I couldn't work out when I was being hit. Fast paced, but no real 'spark' of gameplay.
Not particularly challenging, but with improvements the overall mechanic would be good. Became boring after a short while, but I liked the retro graphics.
I feel as though there should have been some more mechanics to keep the enemies away. Also, there didn't seem much point in placing the bombs as they just instantly spawned again.
I don't have an android ;-(
damn, clicked on the screenshot because it said "click to start". But nice music!
Supremely difficult (or I just suck), I couldn't get past the first bird boss at all.
If you spam the space bar while fighting enemies it breaks, which I am going to fix. Pretty sure it counts as a game breaking bug considering you need to spam space bar while fighting enemies.
Bug should be fixed ASAP, found that the cause is to do with the old beta version of SFML didn't track frametimes completely accurately, especially not when the fps is as high as it is in this game. I'll just limit the fps.
There is a certain skill in playing skillful combat - remember, space only works when you are next ot them and the enemies walk onto you and back. If an enemy walks on you, just wait until he walks off again.
Forgot to add - thank you for all the comments! I never expected as many as this!
@Orangeez: I tried to give apathfinding algorithm... but it ended up them just walking back and forth, which is how I invented the combat mechanic.
CTD fixed (I think)! :D
Yeah, as a lot of people pointed out that is a problem. In the post-compo it speeds up over time, but I didn't think of it in the competition - even though it was actually very easy to add :(
SmallDeadGuy: I tried to implement A*, but failed somehow and ended up like this... it is my first time doing anything with pathfinding
Okay - some things that should have been corrected were the collision detection and that you couldn't stay with the flying blocks, especially for a jumping game.
Great game! It was very tricky but fun enough to want to keep playing every time you fire 50 planets into extinction. I think getting started should be easier, I couldn't get the planet to get into orbit for ages.
Everything moves really, really, slowly and makes the already-slow player progression even slower. If the game was quick, then it would be a really fast-paced and cute little ROTMG style game.
Great entry, brilliant graphics.
Very clunky controls. Why does he have to finish his movement before you being able to click to move him again? There wasn't any challenge, but the idea and graphics were nice (esp. graphics!).
Best LD game I've played so far. It takes a while to get used to, but after working out the best strategy for making childing and keeping myself at full I did well - there was a huge bunch of people in the centre at the end and I just died every time I switched character, but they were mostly mine so I won.
Liked it - nice idea and good implementation. It does get a bit repetitive.
Instructions would be handy - I see people referring to "osmos" but I haven't played it. I worked out what to do and it was strangely addicting, although sound definitely wouldn't have gone amiss, as well as some extra game mechanics - powerups?
Strangely addicting, but it was very repetitive and very easy once you got the hang of the off screen mechanic. And my bio kitten was too small :(
Fun puzzle game, liked it all except for the annoying jump sound!
Only a Mac version? Who uses Macs?
Left this running in the background. purty!
Nice concept. When you have loads of screens it gets quite frustrating because it's nearly impossible to spot the spikes on all the screens at once. Was fun to play.
It felt a bit random whether I died or killed a zombie, I could see no stats other than what was described at the beginning. Good concept.
Short little fun game. Good art.
A bit buggy. Space was jump and W was "fly a bit", collision detection was stuttery and I ended up falling out of the map. Great idea (I thought of it as well, but abandoned it after deciding I couldn't make those graphics, which you did very well) and great graphics.
I didn't work out what the mutations did. The audio was great.
Couldn't have anything more to do with evolution, and it is a great concept. I've no idea how you did this in only 1 source file (no OOP? =p) but it's great. I couldn't get mine to evolve to not require light, though.
There wasn't really any element of a challenge, but it was slightly interesting. Was expecting slightly more from a Jam entry, and I can't see anything on your journal, but it appears that you must have struggled! Awesome name.
Very long, I didn't finish. It was a nice idea but it seemed very random as I couldn't control the movements of anyone.
Great atmosphere, especially with the superb music and graphics. I spent ages and only found 2 fish - clown and starfish. All I could find from then on was bombs and more starfish, even when travelling to the bottom, before I got destroyed by a bomb. Overall a great game.
Not rating yet because I can't complete the first level. Please explain! I have made an E but nothing seems to be happening.
Completed it (minus all 1000 kittens!). Very nice game!
Amazing music, good graphics, but no real challenge - just flying around. You should probably focus more on the gameplay and less on the graphics... :)
I could fly right past a lot of the obstacles - it was flying, not jumping. The simplistic graphics were nice and the sound effects were great.
Quite fun, although it was a little slow paced.
I like the style. The game was insanely difficult, I completed none of it myself, after spending >5 minutes on each obstacle. Thought the "sitting down to think" mechanic was long winded, could have just had an instant reaction and it would have been better.
Einbernd: small enemies have a 1/4 chance of dropping 1 energy. You shouldn't need to use that much energy =p
madpew: how the hell did you get past 10k without evolving! :D
nosfer: "lacks in presentation" :D
When I say 'tank' I don't mean military tank, I mean gaming tank - used for absorbing damage. Added a "tips" section to the notes.
shinD: the big projectile moving through smaller ones was a good idea. Unfortunately it is not as easy as it may look because of the way I designed the collision detection - I had to use a very messy hack to make projectiles ignore powerups.
myachin: what happens?
Awesome feel to the game. An objective would have really helped, I didn't really have anything to work towards. Also, I felt as though there should have been music.
More art than game, but it was a good piece of art. I couldn't do anything but roll around - I checked the comments and couldn't work out how to get the bad ending.
Touching
I lost for apparently no reason - it said there were people taking over my temple, and I crushed them then lost. Also, I wasn't given an opportunity for a new temple in the entire game.
Awesome! Great idea for the telnet game
Gameplay was a bit lackning, but still fun. Good graphics.
Transitions are irritating. But otherwise, fun, lively and awesome!
Also, unfortunately too laggy and small to run on my netbook!
I'm sure there is a way to make exe files out of love... unfortunately I'm on a computer which doesn't have love installed at the moment, I'll try to play when I get back to my main.
Same for me, linux only is a big problem in ld!
Found it repetitive after a while. Cute graphics and great voice and music.
Great music and dialogue!
Not much of a game but entertaining nonetheless! Well polished and good graphics.
Nice idea. The humans did nothing on each go (bug or incomplete?) but I liked the way the game worked. I thought about each decision and appeared to pick the best one each time, which was satisfying, although I'm not sure much skill it was compared to the game just being easy.
More difficult (and frustrating) than it looks! Fun and cute graphics. Checkpoints pls!
Awful font! Game was very short and very easy. I loved the jumping physics, not sure what others are complaining about. "Fear" seems a bit pointless, can't it just be "kill all villagers"?
Nice graphics and audio. Gameplay was a little bland.
Addicting and evil!
Didn't like the enemies respawning if I left the room.
Good and funny graphics, although I fear you spent too much time on them and not enough on the gameplay - it was very repetitive and got boring quickly.
50 candles to win and 10 candles to shoot seems a little harsh, you never get to shoot if you want to win. Fun game out of so simple mechanics. Really needs audio, especially music.
I failed :( There could have been some tooltips on the abilities or some icons so I knew what I was using without having to refer to the menu. Some extra clarity was needed in the graphics so I could actually tell what was what, and some graphical effects would have been nice. Gameplay was mainly fun though. Nice take on the theme.
Link broken! :(
Agh, don't have pygame.
Nice take on the theme! It was fun briefly but there was not enough overall outcomes or length to the storyline to be interesting for long.
Slightly dull gameplay, but hilarious music!
Fun game, especially with all the graphical effects near the end. Reallly easy, I held down two buttons and didn't lose any health. Loved the "DESTROY EVERYTHING" ending!
Fun game!
Strangely addicting. Lacking in presentation but has a surprising amount of depth.
Funny, cute and fun. Awesome ending sound effect.
Best game I have played so far. Amazing graphics, especially for compo! The beginning is a little grindy, it took ages to get the 20 souls I needed.
Really missed out on the sounds! The gameplay needs some balancing to make it challenging rather than frustrating. Making the enemies smaller would have helped.
Hilarious and fun! I feel mean now :(
Can be frustrating at times, mostly due the fact that you stop whenever you hit a wall. Otherwise, fun to play.
Awesome graphics and music! Could have done with more variety and challenge to create some interesting puzzles.
Cannot work out what to do after 10 minutes experimenting... How do you get glory?
Really confusing at first (I thought the space ability was some kind of stealth ability), but once you got into it, it was awesome.
No linux =/
Great concept. More interesting than chess! I imagine it would be good fun with a friend.
It's different, and some additional gameplay mechanics could make it more interesting. Lovely graphics.
STILL TRYING TO BEAT LEVEL 7 AFTER 30 MINS
Still can't complete the last two levels... I'll try again when I'm less tired. Absolutely loved it - great idea, great puzzles, awesome intro music.
Once you get the hang of it, it's quite fun - hard is hard.
Great to play. At first I didn't read the isntructions and was wondering why my cow bombs didn't have any effect.
You weren't lying about addicting gameplay!
Nice graphics. You really made then in 48 hours?
It was a bit confusing. I kept running out of energy and I didn't know why... it was still fun.
lanoiadimuu: did you complete them in the end?
Typos in the instructions? This will not do! Maybe I should write them earlier than 1.30am
Having carefully looked, I cannot find any typos in the instructions!
Some bugs screwed the game several times for me, my minions got stuck and couldn't move and pathfinding made them walk from one place to another. Otherwise, fun game.
Tricky, I thought I had the hang of hit but there were not enough health powerups to keep me alive. Loved the music.
Very true
Awesome game! Difficult to pick up at first, I spent at least 5 minutes just mashing keys and gave up, until I read the comments.
Took me a while to realise that later in the game, big isn't best! Nice concept and neat graphics, and fits well with the theme.
Awesome game. Somehow it was fairly addicting, and seeing your path at the end as a nicer extra. Good take on the theme!
Liked the game mechanics and the variation of the levels made it interesting. The buttons felt really unresponsive - it was like I had latency issues. Unfortunately a bug which made me fall through the ground when I tried to jump stopped me from playing any longer.
Interesting idea. I understood the concept but had no clue what I was doing. I was turning until the red went down then moving forwards, but that seemed to be fruitless.
Minimal
The game's message would have been more powerful with some neater graphics. The puzzles could have also been more challenging, although I get that that was not the main focus of the game. The messages of the game could have been more subtle, but you still got the feeling of a good atmosphere thanks to the soundtrack.
Simple but fun. The few mechanics were executed well, and I liked being able to dodge enemy attacks. With more powerups and enemies this would be a great game. Awesome music!
The puzzles were fun, but the movement and time delays between events were so slow. It could have done with a soundtrack and some more level design (although maybe I just didn't reach that stage), although I liked the art. Felt like you had a lot more that you wanted to do but didn't get done.
That's a difficult game! I hope I didn't miss anything by not completing it.
Neat game. Excellent graphics and gameplay, but it gets somewhat tedious after a while.
Simple game. I was unable to load a new level in Chrome and couldn't even run it in Firefox. Could have really done with some sound and a win screen!
That's scary. I didn't realise there were enemies at first, and then that... 'thing' appeared. The movement speed could have been a little faster, and the key is tedious to find (I never found it).
Solid controls, fun game, and fits with the theme. Good game!
Couldn't complete that level in the screenshot! I found the fast movement and non-instant stopping time REALLY difficult to work with. It's a shame, I really wanted to play more of the game but the levels were locked. Soundtrack was great. Graphics were... minimal.
10 minutes with minimal interaction and slow text is tough to sit through and really kills some of the fun. Nevertheless it was thought provoking and meaningful. Interesting idea.
There's a bit of strategy involved, can be weird to predict where the enemies are moving.
Good music and fun gameplay. I don't know why you have to slide every time you land, it makes the game much more frustrating.
Weird. Gives a good atmosphere, but being gamer minded all I was trying to do was work out the objective.
Cool game, pretty fun. Confusing as to what you're supposed to do at the start.
Short and sweet. A bit random.
Restarting the entire game if you die once is really annoying. The graphics are very simple (minimalistic I guess...?) and it really needed sound to feel like a proper game.
After a bunch of warning messages, the game launches like this (music is awesome!): http://gyazo.com/582176f408916377b510d9a6d15e0aca
NVDIA GeForce GTX 580
Aside from the camera and collision bugs (which really screw with you a lot), it's a fun game. Awesome music.
Limit gameplay. You were right about it being difficult, I don't think I hit him once! The soundtrack and sound effects were great as well as the feel of the game and graphics.
Nice little puzzle game. It wasn't really minimalistic though. I crashed when completing one of the puzzles.
Neat aesthetic. Some of the puzzles felt like the best way was to randomly walk around until you win.
@badlogic: you must have visited it during the 10 seconds I was reuploading. Try again!]
@Arkazon: sorry, I should make it more clear. Lines or even squares.
I updated the notes to better reflect the rules.
smealum: eh, I don't know what the problem is for you - specs?
@Pitzik4: haha, you're right about that algorithm!
I thought I updated it so that they did match the size of the player. Hmm.
Difficult to navigate oin the PC but thoroughly enjoyable and fast paced. Great graphics. The red button could have been more clear!
Interesting little art game.
Lacked music. Could have been more fast paced.
Interesting interpretation of the theme and a great game. I got 4 people hired. The wall of text might put some people off, but it's actually surprisingly fun.
Rated lower than I would normally for an otherwise fantastic game because of the complete lack of the theme. At least try!
I hate kittens and timed games and platformers. But other than that, I liked it.
I was completely lost and couldn't get past the second room after several attempts. Nice use of the theme and still a fun game.
Fantastic audio and graphics. The z to wake up was a little odd. You might want to consider turning the audio down, it is extremely loud compared to other appliations.
The voices could have been clearer, given that they were essential to the game.
How do I start the game? The instructions and controls appear when I launch it but pressing S, L, F and Q do nothing.
Pretty game, but not much gameplay.
Good use of the theme, fantastic graphics. Didn't get to the boss.
The controls were clunky and difficult to use, but otherwise it is a fun game.
The game ends after I swerve left/right. Was this intentional?
Interesting puzzler.
Some random deaths and crashes are frustrating, and some rooms seem impossible, but otherwise a fun game.
Could have had fewer lives - I could hit a number of them as I went through. Overall a fun game.
Nice game, but could do with a rethink of the controls. It is very fiddly and there is no explanation for the nodes.
Great concept. It can get boring while waiting 10 seconds repeatedly, a way to speed it up would be nicer.
Would have been great with audio. Normal mode is really tricky.
Starts slowly. Really good graphics, I thought this was a jam entry at first.
Fun game. Seemed too fast paced for any real strategy.
Gets frustrating after a while. Nice use of the theme.
Makes me smile!
Quick bit a fun. Very difficult!
I am the ultimate thief! The movement sound was really annoying, but the game was really fun. Good puzzle.
Not really much of the theme present in the game. Fantastic mood with graphics and sound.
Very simple. Could have done with some audio.
Gets repetitive after a while, but starts off fun and brilliant graphics/music.
Controls were a bit fiddly and the take on the theme was very stretched.
Really great game. Couldn't complete it but I had a good go.
Fun/ny game! Could have used some extra mechanics to make it more difficult and last longer.
Lovely graphics. Confusing at first, or maybe I just suck.
Nice little game, slightly easy. Got stuck in an infinite loop when I was punched, but maybe I wasn't pressing skip or something.
Controls are a little clumsy. Seemed to be an issue when I tried to reverse and fire and the enemies wouldn't die, even when I was pointing at them and firing 5 times. ~Otherwise, a fun game.
Felt like it was missing music. I think that large hordes of enemies that died in one hit would have been better than these bobbing heads which were annoying to kill. Overall, a fun mechanic.
Very atmospheric. Fun mechanics overall and a lot of content. Relaxing.
Really nice card game. I would give 5/5 for audio but I don't think you made it - I'll check back here later in case you say that you did (I know it's not against the rules for game jam).
Simple but fun and satisfying gameplay.
Controls felt a bit fiddly, but it was a good game overall and I had fun.
Hilarious game! I finally managed to disguise my baby.
Really fun, great music, great atmosphere, and funny storyline. Nice how you synced the audio with the graphics.
Felt like you should have been able to do more than just watch your ducks hit each other.
Compo entry? Did you make the textures/models yourself?
No MSVCP120.dll.
Compared to compo games, it had a decent level of graphics, but unfortunately I had to rate lower because it was in the jam. Even so, it was very fun.
I hate platformers and I suck at them, but this one kept me interested for a fairly long time.
Fantastic game. Great fun and superb graphics and music. Just a shame you didn't pay much attention to the theme.
WHY CAN'T I KILL THEM?
Nice use of the theme! Really gun game. Great art. Shame that there were no sounds.
How difficult can you make a platformer?!
Pretty easy game. Felt like it was too simple - could have had extra weapons, different enemy types, powerups, or other mechanics.
Impressive graphics and atmosphere!
Got stuck in walls a lot. Felt a bit cramped at high speeds, but was otherwise fun. Where was the theme?
Got stuck in walls a lot. Felt a bit cramped at high speeds, but was otherwise fun. Cheap use of the theme though.
Great art, fantastic take on the theme, and a really fun game overall! Just a couple of issues with the camera detection. I wish you could have restarted individual levels.
Good fit with the theme. Fun game with great audio and graphics.
I MANAGED TO BEAT MY GAME, AT LAST!
It can be done! Honest!
Added to description! Will upload to my site later.
Really good ASCII game.
Fantastic graphics and sound. Would have liked some more gameplay (was really hoping for some sort of cool puzzles inside the castle!) other than just the circle bit, but that's still more than most "ambient exploration" games, and this one didn't try and teach you a pretentious message as well!
Bit easy but very fun. Could have done with some music and particles.
Daisy was lost forever :(
Didn't really understand what to do. Could use some instructions!
A bit simplistic and repetitive. The graphics were nice - coincidence that they are identical to the ones recommended on the juice it or lose it video?
My favourite game so far. Really liked the puzzle design, the difficulty, and the sound effects with the art style create a great atmosphere.
Bit clumsy controls but fun to play with friends (/brothers).
Some nice art and a good mood and message generated, but I'm a little fed up with all the sentimental/philosophical/"ambien non game" games on Ludum Dare. Not fun to play unfortunately.
Good music and graphics but dull gameplay.
Nice game, good polish on the gameplay. The combat mechanic could have been more interesting than just click and shoot everything.
A bit slow paced, but good graphics and general feel of the game.
Really nice platformer. Solid mechanics. Shame about the lack of music.
Short and simple, but feels nice to play. I wish there were more mechanics than just waiting.
Great graphics and interesting gameplay. Very difficult - I thought the first level was the entire game, before being disappointed upon completing it!
Pretty simple gameplay and gets boring after a while.
1:32. Fun game. Could have done with some super fast speed boosts with motion blur!
Pretty game, fun mechanics!
A faster gameplay and some particles and this would be a pretty fun game.
Mechanics are really weird, and it makes the game feel unnatural and clunky to play, but otherwise a fun game.
Idea has some potential. With a variety of obstacles and death to balance the power this could be a really fun game.
Games for the compo must be developed from scratch. Should've entered this in the Jam, sorry.
Really nice gameplay idea. The mechanics could have been fine tuned to make the game less unfair - the acceleration was really fast.
Erm. Can I play this on a PC?
Nice concept and good puzzles. Didn't realise I could jump at first.
Falls under the "pretentious non game" category for me. No fun !
Fixed! (I hope)
Don't know what the issue is :( For everyone experiencing the error, can you post your operating system, whether it is 32/64-bit, and whether you have any versions of visual studio installed, which versions, and any versions of visual studio redistributable installed.
Fixed!
Really interesting!
Nice idea, but the controls are so clumsy that it's virtually unplayable.
Good use of the theme. Controls were a bit clunky, no need to travel that fast or slide that much when you land on a game like this.
Fights can get repetitive since the key presses are very slow and you have to repeat them, but a nice game.
Excellent graphics and audio, and a nice interpretation of the theme as well as an original take on this kind of game.
Shame you didn't finish your beat em up!
Unfortunately it feels too unfinished, so it's a little confusing as to when you have won or lost or what anything is, but I still get the feeling of speed from it.
Wow, fantastic game! Great gameplay, graphics, music. Could have been a little more variety.
Interesting concept, if slightly buggy. With some work this could turn into a fun platformer.
Interesting concept, but like you said, the controls make the game quite difficult to play. Also, very short.
Pretty generic and simple gameplay (and also short), but fantastic graphics and music.
Interesting god game. Felt like the theme was a bit tacked on. Nice art.
Yeah, doesn't run for me either.
Nice gameplay, the jumping can feel a little delayed and clunky. Nice atmosphere too.
Hyper rocket mode is fun. You could have edged the game more towards having that kind of super rapid fire, super speed, mega death the whole time to make it more fun.
Simplistic but fun, although the randomly dying bug really hurts the game. You might want to fix that for the rest of the judging, it was very frequent. Nice music.
Nice idea and gun gameplay. Ranged guys are such a pain.
Hmm. Any way to play on PC? I don't have an adroid.
Can't play it! Too fast and instantly die at the beginning! You are allowed to change this kind of bug during the LD.
I think I understood the controls, but I didn't appear to have much success in keeping the connections alive for long. Some more explanation would be appreciated.
Web links to "my games" page, but the other link on the description works. Please make the text faster or skippable! It's so much slower than is necessary and results in a lot of sitting and waiting. Other than that, a solid game with good - if a little fiddly at times - mechanics. Nice interpretation of the theme.
Ambitious for a Jam but you pulled it off nicely. Some ingame hints of the mechanics would have been nice but generally the game was excellent. Thankfully not as hard as the game this seems to be inspired by.
Great take on the theme and an interesting mechanic.
Interesting concept. Not enough variation to keep it interesting for that long.
Drifting off into the void got really frustrating since there was no minimap or gravity on the planets, but otherwise a nice game with good polish.
A bit straightforward, but a dog simulator! I haven't played one of these in days!
Simple gameplay but well polished, great music, and oddly fun!
Great mechanics and fun gameplay. That second level was hard.
Great music, nice take on the theme, and all around a good game.
Nice concept! Really liked the gameplay mechanic.
Sound more variety, clear objectives, and sounds would have made this game more exciting, but I liked the general idea of it.
Pretty addictive and fun game. Solid mechanics.
Tacky take on the theme, but a solid arcade game. Some screen shakes and particle effects (as well as music) could go a long way here!
Tricky. Excellent game. Solid mechanics, well polished, great music. Nice take on the theme.
Tricky, but a really good idea and a really nice mechanic. I enjoyed this game a lot. The amount of charge on your jump could have been more intuitive - I didn't know whether I was going to reach my destination or whether I could control it.
That knight suddenly sped up so quickly towards the end. Was fun for a bit but it got repetitive.
Very fun game, excellent graphics.
No savepoints! Music and graphics were great.
Looks pretty. Controls can be a bit clunky - I kept accidentally dropping the knife. I managed to complete it.
Fun game. Shooting through those doors was frustrating- I think it would have been better if they opened and closed instantly rather than having to be pushed, as it made killing some enemies nearly impossible. I didn't manage to complete the last level.
Basic mechanics but enjoyable for a bit. Short, and the theme felt like it was an afterthought for this game.
Am I supposed to run it from the source file? It doesn't seem to work.
Nice idea, nice music, and is fun for a while. The levels are quite easy and repetitive.
Quite easy and short, but it looked nice and had a good mechanic.
Fun little game, although it seemed like the optimal solution was just to run and jump over everything you encountered. I easily beat all 3 levels that way.
5th place. Really fun game. I wish everything was sped up slightly - having to wait for your boat to trek from one side to the other got tedious.
Not much of a game but the writing was interesting. Excellent ending, took me a while to realise who this mysterious "Samuel" was!
Quite a fun game, if a little slow paced. Definitely could have done with faster moving, more enemies that shoot back, and more explosions.
Not much of a challenge, but a more unique concept than most of the games.
Short, very simple platformer.
The controls for the missions could have been more fluid to make the missions more fun to play. I liked the idea and it wasn't as simplistic as some of the games entered into the jam.
Great concept, polished game. Not sure if it's my lack of sleep but I couldn't even complete the tutorial levels. Going to try again when I'm more awake.
Extremely satisfying. Fun game.
Unfortunate that I can't rate audio. It was okay for a bit, but it was very slow paced and didn't feel compelling to play - killing things was not satisfying and there was no real challenge.
Definitely more of a tech demo - pretty, but uncontrollable and barely any gameplay.
English controls would be nice. I had a basic idea of what to do.
Erm. What?
No windows link?
The graphics were good, but the base mechanic of the game just wasn't interesting enough to keep me interested for long.
Not much of a game, but the voiceover did a surprisingly good job at adding to the mood. This type of game could have been more thought provoking and subtle.
Excellent game. Best visual novel I've ever played in a LD game. Really interesting writing and great graphics/audio.
No windows version?
I don't really have a clue what's going on. Fun, though!
Scored 139415. Fun game!
Nicely done. A solid foundations of a puzzle game. A little slow paced for my liking, but still fun.
Really fun gameplay, and it looks amazing. Agreed that there's not much to it due to your lack of time spent on the gameplay, but what's there is great.
Nice little game! I'm guessing the "ancient technology" is having to add things. I haven't had to add things in my head for years, and I've studied maths. I feel the difficulty could be ramped up a bit quicker.
Wow. This was an awesome game. I felt like I was pretty bad at it, but maybe it was just really hard. The terminal felt really good to use and exploring paid off.
It seems that nobody can complete this game! It's oddly compelling, especially since it's a genre I usually don't like. This was really fun. Apparently grizzly bears are the same as brown bears, so my google searches failed me and got me killed.
Really intriguing short story game. The best interactive story I've played in a Ludum Dare. Interesting theories have emerged about the ending - did I become the evil time bomb manufacturers that we set out to stop?
