Hi, nice game and congratulations ! Simple mechanics that still offered a decent amount of challenge.We're realizing a video with several games of the Ludum Dare #36. We made the same thing at the previous jam.
Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description. (you can already find several games from the jam there)
Really fun gameplay, and it looks amazing. Agreed that there's not much to it due to your lack of time spent on the gameplay, but what's there is great.
There is a problem with the build. I get this error on chrome.

You should check it out.
"you proteted man's first invention for 12 segs."I love this! love the moody high contrasted tones. Congrats
The difficulty curve was neat and originial! The way the game gets harder the more mistakes you do really makes the player put effort in defeating every possible enemy. It also adds to the last-few-seconds thrill, making me frantically jump around when there is barely any fire left.
The character was a bit hard to control, but that just made the last few seconds more fun.
I'm not really sure why ghouls are so intent on putting out your fire, but this is a cute little game!
I noticed that you sometimes seem to be able to jump in mid-air after hitting an enemy, but couldn't figure out if that was intentional or a bug since I couldn't do it reliably. I did manage to kill 8 in one jump though!
There are also 2 different fullscreen buttons (one on Ludum Dare's site, and one in the Unity webgl export). You should probably try to set it up so that you only need one.
@Sean: Thanks for the feedback.
My biggest failing in this game was not properly explaining the double jump mechanic. When ever you kill a ghoul you can jump again, but you always at max only one jump available. So as long as you hit one ghoul with every jump you can continue to jump infinitely.
I wanted to create a game that only described the controls and the mechanics would emerge, but then I ran out of time at the end to make a clear way to signify how the jumping works.
Very nice minimal art with a spooky tone. The hit shake effect is satisfying. Simple controls with a clear goal. The only two mechanics that weren't obvious to me were the jump reset and killing the ghouls increasing the strength of the fire.
Incredible work for a one-man team. Good job!
