Download links don't work.

acp_ld 2013-12-16 18:43

downloadl links go straight to mediafire, no file

dooglz 2013-12-16 19:55

Broken link

veiadoida 2013-12-18 15:57

broken link, my friend.

dikkop 2013-12-18 22:13

Broken Link :(

The square guy looks so eager to play with me.

shellfishgames 2013-12-19 09:47

Link works now, but the game doesn't run on my Windows 7 system. At first I needed to download MSVCP120.dll, but now it just throws a "application could not be started" kind of error when trying to run the exe. :/
The "you can only move in one direction" premise sounds interesting though, I'd really like to see where you went with it. So I'll try to run it on another machine later.

nelien 2013-12-19 09:55

Ah, same here with the MSVCP120.dll missing :(. Try packaging it with the game. I'll keep this one in the backlog and see if you get it fixed later on!

techblogogy 2013-12-19 10:14

You need to install SDL

madcoretom 2013-12-19 10:18

Sorry dude, same problem as ShellfishGames and Nelien

nelien 2013-12-19 10:30

I downloaded SDL from http://www.libsdl.org/download-2.0.php (tried both the win-32 and 64 bit version) but both only include the SDL2.dll which you have already packaged in your folder, so I don't think that's the problem. I replaced the file but I'm still getting the MSVCP120.dll error. In fact, that dll is from the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable, so that's what's missing. I'll try installing it later today but I would suggest you look up how to bundle the dll into the package so it's not so much work for people to get your game running :/.

peacegiverman 2013-12-19 19:23

Why did you put AdFly links? They don't work for me (using Ghostery).

sam1373 2013-12-19 19:34

It's not a good idea to call your folder "LD28", since most of the people downloading already have a ton of LD28 games installed.

sam1373 2013-12-19 19:34

Also, can't run the game.

coblynau 2013-12-19 19:51

Download link goes to adfly followed by spam site. Doesn't work.

thalikoth 2013-12-19 20:12

I really like the game. I see you have some distribution issues like I had, good to see you solved them :)

espyo 2013-12-19 21:12

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to yadda yadda.

Using Windows 7, 64-bit.

crockid5 2013-12-19 22:49

Not wasting my time with this, don't adf.ly you link

serialvelocity 2013-12-19 23:00

Was quite fun, good idea with the single direction. Good start, keep it up!

parapup 2013-12-19 23:00

Link didn't work (Don't use adf.ly links you cheapo)

aslai 2013-12-19 23:02

Whenever I see an adf.ly link, I want to do terrible things to the person who made them.

bitowl 2013-12-19 23:08

Also getting the 0xc000007b on Windows 8 64-bit :(

crazyrems 2013-12-19 23:32

bitowl said all :|

pighead10 2013-12-20 15:27

No MSVCP120.dll.

jaymeemak 2013-12-20 15:27

"The program can't start because MSVCR120.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."

pl0xz0rz 2013-12-20 16:42

Broken download link.

glovecat 2013-12-20 16:48

I finally play it with that fix http://www.down-dll.com/index.php?file-download=msvcr120.dll&arch=32bit&version=12.0.21005.1&dsc=Microsoft%AE-C-Runtime-Library# . Your game ask me for msvcr120.dll . I like it you made a good game with only 1 button and it's not a runner, but I stucked in the 4th or 5th stage. Good job. I'm sorry for all the problems you are having :(

pl0xz0rz 2013-12-20 16:50

Okay, now the download link works, but

"The program can't start because MSVCR120.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."

sylence 2013-12-20 17:08

Wow that's a great interpretation of the theme. Liked it :)

pl0xz0rz 2013-12-20 17:31

Finally it works. Pretty fun, but level 7 seems to be unwinnable.

techblogogy 2013-12-20 18:18

MSVCR.dll is now bundled with the game. Hopefully this is going to be the end of the technical difficulties. I'm really sorry for all of the problems that happend

shellfishgames 2013-12-20 18:49

Thanks for solving all the problems, works fine on my computer now. :)
I like how you handled that "one key only" situation. Having to plan your moves and execute them accurately really is something different than the usual runner games relying mostly on reflexes. The learning curve seemed pretty good as well, but I couldn't get through Level 7.

scipio-xaos 2013-12-20 19:23

Pretty cool game, man! I don't know if you did this on purpose or not, but did you know that if you reset after hitting a block it saves your movement velocity? (Touch a block, hold r, let go, you move as if you had just hit the arrow block.)

techblogogy 2013-12-20 19:25

That is one of the mechanics of this game. So yeah that was intentional.

netmute 2013-12-20 19:54

I have no way of playing Windows games (using a Mac), sorry :(

xaychru04 2013-12-20 20:52

Nice concept, shame you didn't manage to add some content... And by the way I can't finish level 7...

fussycashew 2013-12-21 14:32

Really neat idea! I'm not to fond of the physics feeling so linear though.

kefir 2013-12-21 15:45

Pretty fun! Nice mechanics idea. Also I ran it on Linux (via Wine) and it works perfectly.

mmickyman 2013-12-22 00:47

Hi, i'm from http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-28/?action=preview&uid=21047
You didn't play my game cause of all the work... I shortened the process, now the file is executable :)
Thanks for your feedback !

About yours : I liked the squared dancing guy between the level ahah, good use of the theme.

ddrkirbyisq 2013-12-23 10:06

Cute. Having momentum carry over after restarting needed to be taught a bit more clearly, I think, but yeah.

onlyslightly 2013-12-27 18:39

Haha great mechanic you added on the last few levels. Discovered it by accident, thought I spotted a bug. Didn't realize the restart button was actually going to be used as a mechanic in itself. Great job!

clavus 2013-12-29 19:52

Nice concept. Simple execution. Liked it :)
