LD26 — Minimalism

Rainbow Rocket by Zccc 2013-04-29T23:45:00

Somehow, you managed to take completely contrasting colors look really good together. The goal is simple, but the mechanics are fresh and fun. Nice work!

Minimum Score by shatterhand 2013-04-29T23:52:00

Interesting concept and interpretation of the theme, but I found the controls really frustrating with the bouncing and deceleration.

Mondritron: 2026 by Dotanukii 2013-04-29T23:41:00

I LOVE color theory games! A really cool take on Mondrian's work too. I found it really difficult though.

Cobalism by Woftles 2013-04-29T23:24:00

Can't run the Windows link because DevIL.dll is missing from my computer. I'm sad because this game looks really fun from the screen shots.

Subtract by SlamBlasta 2013-04-29T20:39:00

Thanks for the feedback! The pause after each level is a great idea. I know ludum dare is forgiving for small bugs, but it seems like more of a feature. I did fix the screen resolution, and game-over bugs though. Here is the version with a pause, if anybody is interested: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/20401860/Subtract_fixed.jar

LD29 — Beneath the Surface

Under ytan by Ditto 2014-04-30T21:07:00

Really polished and overall just a well done game.

A Bank Heist on Christmas by Hob623 2014-04-30T21:13:00

Funny dialogue. Don't forget source code (in your case I guess it's just the .mfa file).

Seafloor Defense by Zathalos 2014-04-28T06:29:00

I didn't think I'd see an RTS! Really great for just 2 days! It was a little bit on the easy side, but that's just fine by me (that way, I can actually enjoy the game).

Game of Roots by BubuIIC 2014-04-30T21:31:00

Cool mechanic, very innovative!

Sunapsis by HunLyxxod 2014-04-30T20:40:00

Great aesthetics, but the instructions were very cryptic and confusing.

Deep Sea Mission by xandy 2014-04-30T20:29:00

Cool idea. I couldn't find the target though, and had no idea how fast I was going because the background is a solid color. Great atmosphere, very relaxing.

The Deepest Darkest Trench by trueyomic 2014-04-28T02:16:00

The collision was really unforgiving, so I didn't get far before getting frustrated.

Vertico by UltimateWalrus 2014-04-28T05:52:00

Awesome game! It was hard for me, but I'm not used to isometric games. Great graphics. It's somehow relaxing just navigating the environment.

Deep in the Ocean by abuzreq 2014-05-02T03:53:00

Good graphical effects, but I didn't feel like I had to do anything to win. I just kept falling until my score was 0.

Indie Space Miner by Supersonic112 2014-04-30T20:59:00

Cool idea, and good execution. I would change the cave-in meter to be more prominent and eye catching.

MiDriPod by pumpkin 2014-04-30T21:22:00

I think your game has potential. I like the basic mining mechanic, but there was a serious lack of instruction.

Beneath the Surface by clearlyspam23 2014-04-30T21:18:00

I liked the game. I don't know what the red arrows do though...

Gubble Quest by Somfunambulist 2014-05-02T03:49:00

I really disliked having to install the game on my computer, and the dialogue pop-ups were annoying, but other than that, it was a cool game. Great graphics and sound effects!

Beneath the Sky by GmacktheGummy 2014-04-30T20:33:00

Cool game. My only complaint was that I ended the game with -110 health.

Temple of the Mad Gods by jellyfishlion 2014-04-30T21:25:00

Good visuals and audio. It was hard though!

The Tree by Joritan Cety 2014-04-28T02:21:00

The game opens and then immediately closes. I think it is not finding the resources correctly. I had the same problem. You should be loading resources through inputStreams (or at least, that was my solution).

The Tree by Joritan Cety 2014-04-28T02:23:00

Actually, it runs from the command line just fine for whatever reason. (java -jar FILE_PATH_HERE)

Aerogel by triforcespark 2014-04-28T02:59:00

Really cool take on the bejeweled type game. I like the restriction on where you can click, it really made me think!

Glassie by rincewind_cz 2014-04-28T03:02:00

Very creative. Unfortunately, three of the rocks got stuck and trapped me against a wall, so I had to restart. Fun though!

Vaults Inc by Bruno Massa 2014-05-02T03:43:00

I think the game was pretty good, but I was confused as to how the turns worked. Also, the grainy texture was cool at first, but after a while it got a bit distracting. Other than that, you did a great job with in-game instructions and overall game mechanics!

Scuba Sam by Boodog 2014-04-28T05:38:00

Nice simple game. It took me a while to realize that the crab things weren't dangerous.

Underground Siege by sfdnetwork 2014-04-30T20:21:00

Wouldn't open due to the sound thing. The error is in line 16 of the Sound class (I used the command line to run the jar which shows errors). Most likely, you were not using input streams to get your resources. I had this problem too.

Planetary Fruit Miner by InvisibleWonder 2014-04-30T05:20:00

Cool idea. I could never seem to win though.

Overwhelmed by OhFiddleDiddle 2014-04-28T06:21:00

Cool game with an interesting message. The movement felt choppy. Maybe give the player inertia (so it doesn't immediately stop).

Gravitas by m12y 2014-04-28T03:07:00

Cool game, I just wish it were longer!

Strider Submerge by Britt Brady (Gloom) 2014-04-28T05:10:00

Cool game, great artwork for just 48 hours! I couldn't die though...

Anterraria by Sim00n 2014-04-30T05:34:00

A really interesting concept. It had a few bugs though.

Crystals by Wir 2014-04-30T05:12:00

I thought the pace was a little slow, but otherwise it was a great game!

Divernaut by Garris 2014-04-28T05:28:00

I like the use of top-down and side-scrolling styles! Also, the death animation is really well done.

NecRobot by Zarkith 2014-04-30T05:03:00

I thought it was really polished. Good job!

Haunted Mine by fallingBear 2014-04-30T21:03:00

Great graphics, but I couldn't jump, and fell out of the world on the bottom. Besides the few bugs, it was a great atmosphere. I love the FEZ style world!

The Stones Back Home by jrap 2014-04-28T05:41:00

I love endless runners. Well done, too. It seemed pretty polished, but sometimes I couldn't tell if there was ground that I could stand on because the foreground image blocked it. Really fun regardless (and great soundtrack!)

Undercover by Shivur 2014-04-28T05:33:00

This game has a lot of potential. I can see where you were going with it, but the instructions were somewhat unclear in telling you how to identify who has a note. It was a cool take on a stealth game!

LD29 by smbe19 2014-04-28T02:34:00

It has potential. I was confused at first by what colors were walls and what was not (black is usually used as a background color, not foreground). Are the levels generated randomly?

Cave by fueelin 2014-04-30T06:37:00

I love games with generation. The infinite capabilities are really interesting and you handled it well.

FoxyTank by matthias_zarzecki 2014-04-28T02:13:00

Really awesome for a 48 hour game! I would have liked to see more interesting gameplay. The cave felt repetitive. I couldn't find my way back to the ship too.

We Can Build Together After We Have Gone to Sleep by WBojangles 2014-04-28T03:05:00

I couldn't figure out how to get past the black screen with the bird...

Into the Earth by john111898 2014-04-28T02:37:00

I couldn't get past the first tutorial level.

Surface Of The Skin by Suese 2014-04-28T05:08:00

My only complaint is that I couldn't really read the messages. They were moving too fast and there were too many to focus long enough to read it. Really cool concept though.

Iron Descent by Cactose 2014-04-28T02:56:00

An interesting game. It played more like a Shoot-Em-Up because I could basically fall through the levels without touching the ground. It was fun, but also very basic.
