The "mining" mechanic reminds me a bit of Worms.

The game should keep track of the smallest number of bombs used to finish a level, so that I can try to beat my records.

Low FPS to the point where it was unplayable -- something like 0.1-0.2 fps. CPU usage shot to 100% and stayed there until I closed the tab. Firefox 26.0, Xubuntu Linux on a Core i7 laptop.

Hey man! Yeah, there is a fool-proof algorithm for solving the levels (which are randomized, BTW). Figuring that algorithm out (and failing to address certain cases in my first hypothesis) was part of the fun of the game for me. :)
