i love the graphics of this, and the engine/dialog system seem to be very good. not quite sure what i was meant to be doing though

what a clean and 'solid' entry. i absolutely loved the lighting and shiny surfaces.
cant you guys tell when someone is trolling ? Hint : its almost all of them.
Nice work Notch, watching you made me not finish in time
i didnt read the bit at the start, and it was hard to work out how to place a path. some tooltips or introduction level, along with more polished graphics and this game could go places :)
this game took me back to an era with less bits. charming graphics, and smooth gameplay.
I uploaded the game anyway. I'm pretty proud of what I did manage to get done, aside from spending 75% of the budget on art....
oh yeah, and i didnt do anything to the game in the extra 24hrs of jam period, i should have just uploaded it like it was in the comp.
hey i never said the cars were actually 'real' :)
^this cut me to the core
thanks for all the positive responses guys. i am continuing to work on this game, and hope to have a playable version in the very near future.
i am currently working on it :)
good that you got a game done is such a short time :) nice work buddy
i tried to rush through this because it looked so simple, but i died a million times. I like the cuteness of the enemies. the hint system with the little signposts is good, the tips pop up at just the right time. other games get frustrating when there is no obvious point to jump to.
Considering the time you had, well done
Don't really understand what's going on here :(
Baby caveman :)
The graphics are quite sharp :)
Very smooth gameplay
I died once and it froze/stopped there.. But it was awesome for the few moments i played. Excellent jumping, smooth! I refreshed it and didn't want to sit through the talking at the start again. But I did.
The graphs are adorable, reminds me of spaceward ho or some old game like that. I played for a while and i believe they were protesting, so i came down on them with justice because it had a star next to it. then the screen went back
I love the characters of dawkins and darwin
Nice artwork, and cool that you kept it all in the same tone. The controls are a bit slow. Decent little sounds
Pretty funny
oh wow, its MinecraftSweeper. There were a couple instances of being able to see partly into a block when on the right angle. The controls felt smooth, but the camera was a bit weird, sorry I can't quite describe what felt odd about it though.
Its great that the mouselock worked properly and the controls were reasonably nice. I loved the laser hitscan style FPS :)
Hahah the go outside to poop "plink" noise
Very easy to play and no explanation needed, nice smooth graphics, decent sound.
The menus and controls are from different worlds, decent sound, graphics.. lol nice square :)
I have you 5 for the graphics and theme without ever seeing your game :)
Great graphics especially the lighting. movement/controls felt a little slow. sounds are cheerful
Nice tunes, and nice pixels
What's with the crazy graphics, feel like I ate some bad prawns or something
I give you 2 for the graphics, as that was the high point.
An extra + for getting involved with the kongregate option, that gives you more exposure and feedback opportunities. Neat little game, with some braid like elements. The evolution animations are neat. Does it count the number of moves, could be good for a leaderboard
That was awesome, but a bit too much clicking
Really interesting visual style
Nice controls, and the graphics are clean and nice :0
Really cool take on the evolution idea, and nice groovy music
Great graphics (although the background was a bit unnecessary, maybe the terrain should do something), and the controls are slick
Nice graphics, and great sound. But the game itself didn't really hook me
Excellent
excellent representation of guppy :)
nifty little game, quite cheerful. Sounds are a bit annoying
I like the simple but nice graphics
Very cool take on the theme.
Reminds me of Civilization. I didnt understand how to tell the current unit selection. Nice war themed music. Those maps are excellent, looked hand drawn initially
I saw your timelapse before your entry. Awesome work. A few things could be better, but all round a great game in 48hrs. Definitely going to have a look at your source code
the best representation of a 'darwin' game
This game has a nice feel and the graphics are beautiful
Ran out of time to get all the evolutions linked up. I have half the animations, half the different controls, and the music for each stage of evolution. Just ran out of time at the end trying to include everything
I could have used something like flashpunk or flixel, and done a bunch of pixel art, but I wanted to try do something different. And I like my vectors
I've also seen that bug with the instant level up, the main point being that the insects should be removed after colliding, so they cant be triggered again
All 200 pixels are well polished :)
The artwork is really nice, the mouse is weird and laggy, I'm a bit unsure as to where the theme is
Very pretty, and a cool little game once I worked out what was going on
Wow, very nice graphics. Nice little tune going on. The combat wasn't very expressive of what was happening. Nice smooth and polished seeming gamestyle. Reminds me of Spore
ahah the boss :)
A very cute pixely look at evolution
