Awesome! The gameplay itself could have been better, but the amazing graphics completely made up for it!
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD21 → Escape From Poorhood

geckojsc, the graphics in this entry are majoritively stock sprites from RPG Maker VX. They are not his.
I didn't think you could use stock graphics for Ludum Dare.
Now that I've actually played this; serious bugs, you can just repetatively talk to the guy with blue hair at the table and he gives you money each time... and everyone else it'd seem too, unless its simply glitching for me.
This is nothing more than relentless buttonmashing and a sloppy game even by stock-sprite RPG-maker games. My guess is this is crap thrown together as an excuse to vote on other games.
It's a jam entry, you guys. Just field testing some stuff in my flash RPG engine. Ya, it's a crappy game.
Yeah I was pretty amazed until I realized it was a jam game :)
Did you manage to stand up the whole time?
i love the graphics of this, and the engine/dialog system seem to be very good. not quite sure what i was meant to be doing though
I will overlook the graphics because this is a jam entry, but the game feels pointless as everyone gives you money every time and I didn't do anything at all until, all of a sudden, I got "filthy rich".
