LD19 — Discovery

Roguesweeper by vede 2011-01-08T11:26:00

The game is almost unplayable due to the horrendously buggy shaking, which at least on my computer makes the screen shake _constantly_. Nevertheless, if it was fixed, and if the instructions were a bit clearer, it would be a nice game.

LD23 — Tiny World

Flea Circus by robbiehunt 2012-04-23T16:06:00

Feels easy to abuse by just spamming ASD in the air.

snowglobe by manax 2012-04-23T09:24:00

Cannot run (no Linux system to run it on).

Nineties Holywood Hacker by Casino Jack 2012-04-23T16:49:00

Neat concept, but too slow-paced for my tastes. The game has a tendency to spawn enemies on top of you when you enter a room, and it's sometimes hard to tell where enemies are located.

Zombie Arena TinyWorld by Shephiroth 2012-04-25T21:06:00

The game is very repetitive, and I can't seem to buy upgrades. The audio is too loud, and it screws with color balance on my monitor.

Aside from everything else, though, I call shenanigans on this entry. You didn't draw those zombie sprites; or, alternately, if you DID draw them, you didn't draw them for this competition. I'm betting on the former, but either one is against the rules.

The sprites appeared at least as early as a month ago, posted by someone calling himself Kazzador on RPGMakerWeb: http://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?/topic/683-kazzadors-additional-generator-parts-sprites/

Drill It!: Demolition Co. by Julian Spillane 2012-04-23T17:05:00

Cute graphics, although the mixed resolutions weren't really to my tastes. Controls a bit slow. Not sure what the charge was for, since it didn't seem to contribute to blowing up the planet, and it was too slow to hit any enemies.

The Collector by blob 2012-04-25T16:55:00

Decent. Hard to know how many shots to hit something with before it can be captured. Animations aren't great and controls/collision are a bit dodgy.

Tiny World Adventure by PabloAM 2012-04-25T16:23:00

Pretty decent. I died a few times for no apparent reason - not sure what that was about.

Tiny Worlds by Lidfrid 2012-04-23T16:20:00

Pretty game. Controls felt sluggish. Cute as the music may be, I kept wanting to turn it off, but found no controls for it.

Real War by nuprahtor 2012-04-23T16:58:00

Neat graphics. I like the background ambience. Controls are awkward and sluggish. Goal of the game is unclear, though the prose was nice.

Tiny Quest by Kvisle 2012-04-23T16:42:00

I'm a sucker for low resolution graphics. The controls are unfortunately extremely awkward, especially the jumping, which detracts from the experience. Other than that, fun.

Cloud Realm by Hempuli 2012-04-25T16:51:00

A lot of fun! Reminds me of Shadow of the Colossus. Pretty graphics and good audio, and bonus points for the effort put into the interactive cutscene at the start. It adds a lot.

I had an issue whenever the robo-serpent wasn't on screen. Since the background doesnt' scroll, I had nothing to compare my position too. Therefore, I could never know if I was actually getting any height or not, and that made me feel like I couldn't figure out how to control the damn thing.

Also, no mouse lock means I clicked outside of the window several times, which also didn't pause the game - that caused quite a bit of frustration when it happened.

Nano Spin by bitbof 2012-04-23T16:13:00

Fun game, but it screwed up the color balance on my monitor after closing! Bad!

Peppyland by spooks 2012-04-25T21:17:00

The controls are rather slippery, and collision detection/platforms is extremely glitchy; not a good sign in a platform game. The graphics are fine, but the game is a bit short.

Path O' Invasion by ratboy2713 2012-04-25T16:30:00

Fun, but confusing. I was never really sure why I conquered - or why I failed to conquer - a cell. I still don't understand how the powerup cells work. Very small, hard to play properly on a high resolution screen.

TinyColony by aaronsnoswell 2012-04-23T16:08:00

Can't play (don't have MacOS X machine available).

MyLittleWorld by guzzungo 2012-04-25T16:24:00

Couldn't run (no Silverlight).

Alienbomb Defender by steffen1997 2012-04-23T16:52:00

Confusing gameplay, confusing graphics. Audio is OK. Very short.

Prince of Leaves by evilseanbot 2012-04-25T21:29:00

The graphics are the high point, although I would have wished for more consistency and more elaborate foregrounds.

Unfortunately, I had to turn off my speakers; the music, while technically proficient, I'm sure, is just not something I want to listen to. The game itself is kinda slow and takes too long without anything interesting happening, unfortunately.

IÄTI by gnx 2012-04-25T21:22:00

Gameplay is very confusing and, unfortunately not too entertaining. I really like the audio bit though. It's nice and tranquil. The concept isn't bad, but I really could've used some more direction.

Itty Bitty Boxy Thingy by dem0 2012-04-23T16:36:00

It's pretty much Sokoban, with some additional features. Not much else to say. Quite decent. Props for making your own music.

Tiny Parallel Worlds by MadcoreTom 2012-04-25T21:14:00

It sure is tiny. I played it all the way through, which is a good sign. Graphics are fine, but simple. Audio is a bit grating though, at times.

LD26 — Minimalism

The Parasite by jahlgren 2013-04-30T16:46:00

Quite fun. I was annoyed when I died of starvation while in the middle of the "go through the exit" animation. Feels like I was cheated out of winning the level.

consequences by Hypnohustla 2013-04-29T16:43:00

I felt like there was no reason not to just hold down X in the first section since you weren't really punished for it. Once I got to the car section and promptly died, I was annoyed that I had to start all the way back at the start again.
