LD22 — Alone

Minicraft by Notch 2011-12-19T03:03:00

Interesting game. A little too grindy for my tastes, but I haven't gotten through it all the way (my browser crashed, don't think it was because of the game) so I imagine that it gets faster paced. Not sure how this ties in with the theme as the world seems bustling with life, all of which wants to kill you.

Lost in the Woods by ratboy2713 2011-12-20T19:29:00

Got stuck didn't know what to do, or got stuck horrible game breaking bug?

Lost in the Woods by ratboy2713 2011-12-21T15:17:00

I made the backgrounds blurry so that the items in the foreground stood out more so hopefully it clued in to what was interactive. It really is I'm not a good enough artist to get that point across without an ugly gimmick. The crate is part of the "go upstairs and sleep" puzzle, if that helps.

Lost in the Woods by ratboy2713 2012-01-04T17:11:00

@SonnyBone: Yeah, the tree really sets the theme for the rest of the game. Thanks for playing!

Lost in the Woods by ratboy2713 2012-01-09T16:24:00

Wow, go away for a few days and a bunch or you guys come in. Thank you so much.

My biggest regret with this game is that I didn't think to add a save feature until it was too late to implement one. Thank you for all your feedback.

Solitaire of Solitude by Lusmu 2011-12-22T17:18:00

Really nice game, possibly too hard. I've spent the last 30 minutes on it and think it is a really nice system, wouldn't mind seeing this as an actual deck. Nice job.

LDKittenRL by zackhovatter 2011-12-29T17:43:00

That was a fun little rogue like, though I must complain about some of the coridors stretching for too long, without a reference point you can't even tell if you are moving. I just held down the button and ran into an insurance salesmen and died. Also, once you hit level 2 you are pretty safe, and once you hit level 3 nothing can really hurt you. There should have been one more "difficult" monster on the final level. Still, very funny and very fun. Good job

Tomes of Solitude by Maato 2012-01-04T17:27:00

There aren't enough games that show case how truly powerful wizards are, but this one does. From the very beginning you are using a massive fire spell to take down waves of enemies, and you only get stronger from that. Nice job!

LD23 — Tiny World

Star Drill by tinymagus 2012-05-01T21:11:00

I love the concept of being a pixel big. Took me a while to figure out what was going on, but I loved it.

Disregard All Humans by Fireblend 2012-04-26T21:46:00

Cute, but short. Man, those little humans sure build buildings fast. They just pop right up there.

Tiny World Thing by Kix 2012-04-27T15:04:00

I couldn't play as the framerate for it appeared to be in the single digits. This hasn't happened for any other java game so I don't think it is my computer that is the problem.

The Good Ship Higgs Boson by Jezzamon 2012-04-24T22:19:00

Loved it! Little disorienting at first, but once I got used to it it was awesome.

I wish there was a proper ending, I just went to an unwinnable level that says "this is the title screen." Was that intended?

Free Donutia by the8donut 2012-04-27T19:33:00

I kept getting stuck on buildings that I thought I could walk around, and it was too hard to control the little guys to follow me once actually in the city. It is very nice looking and I liked the rts idea behind it.

Solar Sailor by vilya 2012-04-24T17:36:00

An interesting take on a standard racing game, though could have used some graphics and audio.

Alien Archaeologist by jplur 2012-05-01T20:38:00

Nice little game, though I have to ask why it is soo long? The bottom stretches to about one and a half times my screen size.

Asylum by Orni 2012-05-02T14:44:00

It was nice as an interactive story, but not as a game. Liked the graphical style.

Block Bros by HeuGamer 2012-05-01T21:08:00

The character moves too slowly and the opening cut scene takes far too long.

Tiny World by piterlouis 2012-05-06T04:36:00

I loved the mechanic and the particle effect when you block an asteroid.

A Theft of Mass by uberneen 2012-05-06T04:28:00

Controlling the ship was a bit hit or miss, and for some reason the mouse didn't always work.

Flight of the Ladybug by robcozzens 2012-05-02T14:50:00

Classic game with modern graphics. Not something I'm into, but very nicely done.

Chromatic Breeding by artefon 2012-04-24T17:44:00

I couldn't tell what color I needed exactly. I kept thinking I had one but the counter was at zero. Maybe less color options, limit to 16 maybe? Also, a way to quarantine a proper population would be helpful. Still, a great concept, I would love to see a full game made with the mechanic.

Teeming by DaveDobson 2012-04-25T21:45:00

Simple and fun. I don't like how you are completely stopped while eating and then resume at full momentum afterwards, very disorienting.

Supernova by MarekkPie 2012-04-24T23:06:00

Nice take on a tower defense game. There is really no need to have the food resources fly off screen like that, however. It adds little to the gameplay to have me chasing after food going in two different directions.

Blob Blob TROUBLE! by samooJAM 2012-05-01T21:24:00

Looks nice, though not quite sure where to go first. I'm all for exploration, but a little hint would be nice.

Deconstructorium by Deconstructeam 2012-05-03T01:37:00

Very nice, seems to be a bug with adamantium and flying in which when you exit it you don't fall down any more, meaning I have to lose flying to finish. Some way to keep track of what combinations make what would have been nice.

I Should Clean My Keyboard by cmo7 2012-04-27T14:47:00

Interesting little shooter, though I have to ask what dimensions you thought the web player would be played at? It is too big for my screen to play in browser.

In Delusion by crippledgames 2012-05-06T04:47:00

Very moody. The character moved too slowly.

Invaders! by wibblymat 2012-05-03T00:51:00

Love the losing sound. I like the spinning mechanic, I just wish there were better graphics and maybe some bg music.

Nineties Holywood Hacker by Casino Jack 2012-05-01T20:34:00

On the grid, I didn't understand why I could place the tile in one place but not the other. I could not connect something directly to the white node, which makes it kindof unplayable in the flying parts.

Tiny Maze Speedrun by netmute 2012-04-24T23:20:00

Nice, simple, straight to the point. Still could have used some graphics.

Tinysasters by Volute 2012-05-02T15:20:00

Got stuck because I accidentally spent all my iron, and there is no way to get iron without spending some. Balance issue?

Big Atoms by Alink 2012-04-24T23:19:00

Ideally I would like to see a control to rotate, I spent most of my time hitting the wall to rotate to the correct position. A nice idea, speed up gameplay a bit and I could see this as a motion controlled iphone game.

Tiny Island Adventure by AdventureIslands 2012-05-02T15:12:00

The controls are a little floaty but I like the art style and the idea of floating islands coming together.

Tiny Defense by Jim Haslett 2012-05-02T17:21:00

Why is the screen soo big? What sort of dimensions are you expecting this to be played at?

Other than that, nice and simple gameplay, though I wish the enemies had a better AI than "randomly float across the screen"

Tiny Visitor by 01010111 2012-04-25T19:41:00

Is that a rendition of 25 or 6 to 4? I'm not entirely sure that is strict to the rules.

Either way, fun little platformer. Simple, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

My Sun Is HUUUGE! by Follett 2012-05-02T17:24:00

It looks really nice, but the gameplay is a bit lacking. Why is the resolution soo big, what dimensions were you expecting this to be played at?

Copulous by keely 2012-05-03T04:09:00

That was certainly something. Always have to beware those rabbits, they be up to something.

Walker by Catman 2012-04-26T20:06:00

It was hard to tell where on the sign you would land and when you would fall through. Still, loved the art style and the menu at the beginning.

Minilization - Dawn and Fall of Man by jarnik 2012-05-06T17:20:00

I got stuck because I had a bunch of cities in a row and I couldn't move far enough to create another one. You should be able to live in another city so you can make progress like that.

Invaders From Space by smvilar 2012-05-06T05:08:00

I like that the bullets arc around the planet, simplifies soo much. The invaders move too fast, once they get on top of you you really can't get far enough away to shoot them.

Redbeard the Borrower by jrasmussen24 2012-04-24T23:12:00

I hate your camera, but I loved everything else about this game. Very funny.

CastleMania by paslam 2012-04-25T16:22:00

I would have liked if my arrows were different color, kept confusing my stuff going up with theirs coming down. Liked the death explosion.

Angstrom by Daniel 2012-04-25T22:02:00

The character moves far too slow and I got killed because I couldn't move in a cut scene. Very pretty, however.

Boundaries by jeffreybiles 2012-04-25T16:25:00

Liked the idea, though it didn't seem like atoms and their orbitals, more like a poor graphiced fighting game. You could have made them planets and their moons without changing much and would have kept with the theme. Still, a fun game, just would have liked better graphics and audio (that beep is really loud and wasn't expecting it).

Michael is Myopic by Several 2012-05-02T17:32:00

I love the puzzle mechanic and the idea of the zooming out for the next level. I liked that the first level was real simple and taught the main mechanic, even big game companies don't do this as well as you did. I didn't quite understand what the three bars meant, but I got that one of them was how much til you expand and one was how long time you die.

The Tiny Gryphalope by bytegrove 2012-04-24T20:47:00

Very pretty but not much of a game.

Bugs by schizofunky 2012-04-24T22:05:00

The music loop was far too short, but I liked the mechanic. After a couple of levels though there really isn't anything new to see.

Lost Oxide by SidetrackGames 2012-04-26T21:50:00

I like what you did with the graphics, but the wall jump is a little hard to control and I'm not entirely sure where I'm supposed to be going or why these blue things are attaching to me.

Galactic Messenger by frogalicious 2012-05-02T18:32:00

The controls are hard to handle and I'm not sure but I think the planets are lying to me about directions. One said it was 40 up from me, so I travel up and reach another and it says it is 270 up from me.

Microscopia by azurenimbus 2012-05-10T16:08:00

I love the concept. I would have liked to know whether or not the character was outside the viewing area, and a reset button would have been nice for that as well.

Drill It!: Demolition Co. by Julian Spillane 2012-05-01T20:41:00

Very funny, though those balls are hard to hit from the other side of the planet, giving you a very small amount of time to get rid of them.

Planet Grab by zzzev 2012-04-25T16:30:00

I love the idea, very fun. It wasn't clear right away that the line was a rubber band launcher and you have to point the opposite way you want to go, but easy enough to figure out (cost my a pod, however). I think gravity should play a bigger role, I was able to skim right past the sun. Still, very fun.

The Collector by blob 2012-04-27T19:41:00

I like the idea, but that is a lot of back tracking. I did sprint all the way to the bottom and saw the boss, but without leveling you don't last long. I can't see the terrarium in windows, it goes off the bottom of the screen, I can only see the top of it. And having to alt-f4 is never fun. Good idea, great graphics, but need a little more polish, gameplay wise.

microchip by DiscoFish 2012-05-03T04:12:00

Nice little platformer. Seem to be collision issues with the eating.

To What a Mountain? by cageinabird 2012-05-03T00:45:00

Cute and funny, but the opening scene is too long and he moves too slowly. Also, for the future, don't use CTRL or SHIFT as primary keys, StickKeys are a pain in games.

Tinytanic by maartenwiedenhof 2012-05-11T21:53:00

Why is the screen soo big? I can't see the whole thing in my web browser.

I like all of the different sprites and the tilting of the ship. The kick didn't seem powerful enough (though that could have been by design) and there isn't enough motivation to risk standing by the side to throw people off. You should just stand in the center where you are less likely to be hurt, and wait it out (which isn't fun).

Crandell Stryder by OrangeeZ 2012-05-06T03:45:00

Nice little shooter, though it needs more player feedback. I wasn't sure if what I was doing was the right thing or not.

Galaxy Music Quest by Folaks 2012-05-06T03:50:00

I liked that getting the different notes added to the song, though it was still be repetitive.

Fracuum by TylerGlaiel 2012-05-03T03:22:00

The music was a little grating, other than that this was pretty much a perfect game. I loved the concept of zooming in.

Corebound by Ryusui 2012-04-24T23:00:00

I liked the idea, and the little man was so adoreable, but please don't implement a mouse if you don't need one. It was really annoying switching back and forth from mouse to keyboard everytime I died/cleared a level.

Tiny World Adventure by PabloAM 2012-05-06T04:51:00

The jump noise started to grate on me after a while. Nice little platformer, very pretty. The enemies could have used some work, too easy as of now.

Predicament by orangepascal 2012-04-27T19:26:00

Well, that certainly was a predicament. Nice graphics, and I love the simple controls doing so much. Had a little trouble with dropping items and trying to pick up others.

Tiny Worlds by Lidfrid 2012-05-02T15:17:00

love the music and the orbitting mechanic.

Kumiho by Christina Antoinette Neofotistou 2012-05-02T14:53:00

I loved the explosions and the fact that the enemies glow when you hit them. A proper dying animation would have been nice.

Tiny War by VDOgamez 2012-04-26T02:16:00

Very difficult to get those last few planets, but damn I want to try. Hard to click on things that small that are moving. Nice game, though, very fun.

Solenopsis Invicta by CoffeeOnimal 2012-04-25T16:20:00

After a little while other ants stopped following me when I pressed shift. Neat sim concept, but really needed to be fleshed out more.

Catamari Meowacy by SethR 2012-05-06T17:12:00

Very funny.

stack::tracer() by nihilocrat 2012-05-06T03:54:00

I liked the puzzle idea, though the placing and removing are really slow.

Atom Planet by NMcCoy 2012-05-03T03:39:00

Very nicely done, even without knowing what to do I thoroughly enjoyed just moving blocks around.

Big Space Tiny Man by invaderJim 2012-04-27T19:07:00

Cute little mens try to destroy the giant, very funny.

Super Orbit Worlds by Jhelle 2012-05-06T04:38:00

I liked the music. The gameplay was really simplistic, maybe have the bounce when the mouse is moved happen slower for longer?

Aether by Danik 2012-05-06T05:03:00

Loved it. The explosions was especially beautiful, and I love the idea that what is happening on the whole (scaled out) directly effects the specific (scaled in). Great game!

Atomsmash by Dan C 2012-05-02T21:25:00

I love that you made this feel like the old system and got it to run so smoothly. I don't know if I can give innovation points to something 20 years old, but I'm going to try.

terminus by zillix 2012-05-03T04:33:00

Very nice, though the build up was kindof slow.

Ant, Bee, Cow, Pig and Spider BOSS by karnakgames 2012-05-03T01:15:00

I like the hints, but I'm still not sure what to do when I've acquired the bee.

Memento XII by deepnight 2012-05-02T15:05:00

Very deep, and I enjoyed the old-school point and click adventure feel of it.

Rambros by Black Ships Fill the Sky 2012-05-09T23:56:00

Very awesome, loved the music, though the collision with walls is a little glitchy, I kept getting stuck and trying to jump out led me straight to a pit. Still, very fun and I love the destructible environments and the different characters. Great job guys.

ANT SURF HERO: THE SURFENING by JigxorAndy 2012-04-25T19:57:00

Could have used more enemy ants, but I loved the whole thing. Very funny.

Scape by intmain 2012-05-03T03:25:00

Nice little puzzle game. Similar to another one I've seen, but the ability to go back over one you just planted changes everything.

so small by davidpeter 2012-05-03T00:22:00

That was actually a really well put together point and click adventure, and very disturbing too.

Astrosurf by Jimjam 2012-04-25T16:36:00

The tutorial shows the eruption coming from the upper right, so I mirrored that and went straight into a black hole. Went through some trail and error to figure out where I was supposed to go, and even then wasn't sure the star was a good thing or would kill all my people.

My Little Planetoid by matthias_zarzecki 2012-04-27T19:22:00

I love it. The buttons are too close to the edge, the planet kept rotating when I tried to select farm, but still a beautiful game.

Drop of Life by MrTwister 2012-04-25T20:10:00

I'm not sure if it was me or not, but I only saw the first screen of the tutorial, so I didn't know you couldn't place in the red or what ever the hell the red blobs were. Also, hard to place on the bottom row, kept accidentally hit start instead.

Angle Isle by Rusty Moyher 2012-05-02T14:37:00

Nice, simple little game, though the platforms aren't angled, and those are what make up the island, so it isn't really angle island.

Mini-Worlds and Monocles by Zed 2012-05-02T15:07:00

I love the victory sound effect.

Nano Spin by bitbof 2012-04-23T14:37:00

Very fun, however it is quite large (too big to fit in my browser) and at that size runs very slowly. Still, great concept and love the music.

Petri-Dish Survival by Rex Peppers 2012-04-24T22:08:00

The screen doesn't scroll fast enough, so you are stuck on the edge hoping nothing is just out of view, and then the moving enemy went super fast.

Subatomica by SFBTom 2012-05-03T00:41:00

Nice idea, though it could have used a bit more of an explanation in game.

Space Bear by madflame991 2012-05-06T05:12:00

If you are going to go silly, you better go whole hog. Loved it.

Poor Pluto's Revenge by DavidErosa 2012-04-25T16:42:00

Never ever use Ctrl as a key, especially the fire key in shooter. Sticky keys! Makes your game unplayable.

After I got past that, it was cute and funny, if not a little simplistic. Maybe tweak the AI to fire spreads instead of always in a straight line.

Exposed by 01101101 2012-05-08T03:49:00

I love the art and the music, and the gameplay, and the humor, and everything really.

Peppyland by spooks 2012-04-25T16:58:00

Really short, simple platformer. Not bad, just short. And never, ever use ctrl and shift as default keys without offering alternatives. Sticky keys, they are annoying.

Tiny World Cardgame by SusanTheCat 2012-04-26T16:11:00

I love a good card game, and this one is fantastic. The tutorial took too long to get through because of the cards moving off the screen, maybe move all cards at once to save some time?

Path O' Invasion by ratboy2713 2012-04-24T20:42:00

Thanks everybody for playing! After three days I already have about as many ratings as I did all of last competition.

I fixed the link for the jar download.

I've gotten really excited about this project and plan to release a post compo version, so any further criticisms and suggestions are most appreciated. I'm already working on multi-unit selection and fixing the AI.

Short Life in a Box by tequibo 2012-05-03T04:15:00

I got stuck on one of the secrets as the jump couldn't get me out and there were no exits.

Niña Nueve by Jonathan Whiting 2012-05-01T20:46:00

Trying to lure the blobs is too slow, really kills the momentum of playing the different levels. Loved the music and art work.

Gods Inc. by BlackDogg 2012-04-25T19:47:00

Nice concept, though it seemed really repetitive and a lot of waiting. Not a bad game, just not my type of game.

Astro Break by hulahulahest 2012-04-25T17:03:00

Reminds of an old game, Pea Shootin' Pete. I loved that game, and this does the concept really well. Thoroughly enjoyed myself.

eat, sleep, work by dray 2012-04-25T19:49:00

I liked the idea, though it was very hard to control.

Searching for Heaven by demonpants 2012-04-26T20:09:00

I got stuck on the third planet because I hit the spikes before doing whatever it was that I was supposed to do and it kept looping me dying.

Pale Blue Dot by KevinWorkman 2012-05-06T03:41:00

I would have given the audio a five, but the collision sound effect just ruined the mood.

Synthesis by marudziik 2012-04-23T14:24:00

No OH molecule, bah!

Nice game, fun little science trip.

I want to turn the heater on by Andrew 2012-05-01T21:15:00

Could have used with a bit more explanation on what you're supposed to do.

Ancestor's Sword by JaJ 2012-05-01T20:30:00

It was hard to get used to the controls, but it was very pretty and I liked the music.

Snow Globe Kerfuffle by j_peeba 2012-05-03T03:12:00

I liked the destruction of the globe, but I didn't like that the peasants could shoot through obstructions when I couldn't. Also, on level 5 I had nearly fully health but it said I failed, I'm not sure why.

The life in a box by Bognet Team 2012-05-01T20:50:00

Having to reload the page and see that stencyl splash every time I had to restart was a bit much.

Quark by Mach60KAS 2012-05-06T04:24:00

Nice idea, but it really didn't go anywhere. I suspect this was just the start of a much larger idea.

A Super Mario Summary by johanp 2012-04-25T20:04:00

Pretty funny, though really needed background music.

All That Are Lost Will Be Found by R3ason 2012-05-03T00:33:00

Nice mechanics, though the light burst is a little short, little too much so for jumping puzzles. And in the future, please don't use CTRL or SHIFT for a standard key, StickKeys are really annoying when playing a game.

Slime Buster Micro by brenthamel 2012-04-27T14:50:00

It seems to be lagging for me, as when I press things nothing happens. Also, he can run faster than he can shoot, so you can't really run and gun. I love the graphics, however.

Lilac.27 by oddgoo 2012-05-03T04:25:00

I liked the 2d character in a 3d world, but the camera controls were a little difficult, and on the second world they kept getting stuck in the planet and couldn't move.

Gravity Force 3 by refreshgames 2012-04-27T14:54:00

Looks very nice and I love the simple controls. Unfortunately, the game is too big to be played in my browser, so something sneaked up on me from the top of the screen. What dimensions is it supposed to be played in in browser?

caveman defending his cave from aliens while monoliths drop down from the sky by bms 2012-05-02T14:47:00

Loved it. Though I would have liked some splash on the rocket launcher, and a jaunty tune would not have gone amiss. Still, very nice.

Puny Planet by Sichuan 2012-05-06T04:01:00

I liked the orbiting mechanic, though it was hard to tell what was a friendly asteroid and what wasn't. Also, when you destroy a planet you should get their left over asteroids.

GERMS: A Ghost Story by matt 2012-05-06T04:56:00

The bottom of the screen doesn't scroll fast enough. I liked the idea of a germ battle.

Minikin by tummyache 2012-05-01T22:18:00

Haven't you ever heard its not how big the weapon is, its how you use it?

Yeah, I never believed that either.

Rocket Boat by RHY3756547 2012-05-03T00:38:00

The controls are a little weird for right handed people using qwerty layout (left hand on the right side, right hand on the right side) and it is hard to judge the acceleration, but other than that it is a very nice game. Great graphics and music.

Hummy's Hunger by GFM 2012-05-06T04:32:00

Is there a reason why you can't run and eat? Coming to a complete stop at each of those apples was annoying. I liked the music with it.

Invasion Of The Trivials by RobProductions 2012-04-24T20:56:00

Pretty fun, though not very creative. Would have loved to be fighting something other than large spheres, and maybe having each city say something after you had freed it.

It's a tab by brackcurly 2012-05-06T17:22:00

I love the idea, though it doesn't make for much of a game.

Mage Duel by Kitch 2012-04-26T21:37:00

Very funny, and I like anything where mages are being powerful and wasteful. The problem is the AI tends to bury itself in the ground, making it very hard to hit, dragging matches on much longer than they should be. Perhaps a layer of lava halfway down so they just drop off and you don't have to be so finicky with controls?

The Island by Skoggy 2012-05-01T20:58:00

I liked the music, though it didn't really seem to fit with the game at all.

Mineral Cities by Gareth Jenkins 2012-04-25T16:17:00

The controls were a little counter intuitive. When I press right I expect the cursor to move right, not the planet to rotate right. Also I would have liked a way to remove grass/water/hill, since I screwed up a couple of times and that really messes with the rest of the layout. Even an undo button with a resource cost would have been nice.

Other than than a nice little building sim.

Tiny Garden by Exorph 2012-04-27T14:56:00

I liked the idea, though the web player is difficult (as you mention).

Dragons of Pluto by Lusmu 2012-05-07T15:58:00

I liked the look of it all, though I don't know why the dragon skids along the surface like that. Shouldn't he be flying above it?

Professor Squeaks: The Circuitous Escape! by envy3d 2012-04-27T15:02:00

The controls could use some work, as I get stuck all the time because you have to release the key to continue if you hit any obstacle, instead of when the obstacle clears you can continue again. There also seems to be no punishment for taking damage, which eliminated a lot of platforming as I could just damage jump my way across. I liked the circuit mini-game, though I wish it had more depth to it.

Adventures in NoLand by ncannasse 2012-05-06T05:05:00

Loved the art style, though it really could have used a good sword clang.

ARACHNID by BuffaloPhil 2012-05-01T21:17:00

I liked that you put the instructions right up front, most games don't do that. Very pretty, though you move kindof slow.

Buggiest Game Ever by speciesUnknown 2012-05-06T04:04:00

Well, it delivered what it promised.

Professor McSteen, and his shrinking machine by PerilousPete 2012-05-03T00:58:00

Really hard, but nice idea.

An Hell Of A Kitchen by brus46 2012-05-06T04:14:00

I don't see why I needed to scroll the board, especially since it was easy to win with just the visible board.

This Precious Land by Ishisoft 2012-04-26T20:36:00

Fantastic, would have liked to know that there was more than those initial four things in the beginning so I knew what to shoot for, but still very nicely done.

Rat Conquest by Canard Sauvage 2012-04-24T17:27:00

I like what you did with the graphic style, but the creature moves really slowly and music loop is too short.

iblic - I've been looking for ice cream by Nehmulos 2012-04-27T14:43:00

Nice gravity physics, I enjoyed getting the guy to orbit the tiny world.

Nibbles by NefariousZhen 2012-04-24T22:13:00

Without the enemies doing anything it isn't really much of a game, and I didn't hear any sound because I don't trust security warnings. Sorry if that isn't your fault. I love dungeon crawlers, however, so I would love to see the game you were planning on making.

LD24 — Evolution

Papillon by ChevyRay 2012-08-27T19:05:00

I assume she got her super powers from her cast that could magically change from one arm to the other.

Awesome artwork. I loved the evolution of the boss. The dash was hard to operate in a precise way, but I eventually got it. Really wish there was a simple somber melody in the background. All in all a great job.

Cocci by max.strater 2012-08-27T19:30:00

Interesting..... thing. I'm not quite sure what the point was, what I was supposed to do. Still looks nice. If this is part of the compo, you are supposed to include the source, not just the class files.

Monkey Trial Turnaround by SusanTheCat 2012-08-27T14:30:00

Very cute and funny. I liked the objection face. I feel that there is more evidence lying around (based on there being a second page to the inventory) but I just can't seem to find it. Still, fun to play through many times.

Cytosine by Frozen Fractal 2012-08-27T20:55:00

Very clever and fun, but after every generation my screen would just go blank. I could hear the sound effects and eventually "You Lose" came up, but I couldn't see anything. I'm playing on Chrome. I was able to play by just using the URL to reload the page, but it was a bit annoying.

Primordial Punchout by TestSubject06 2012-08-27T14:00:00

Pretty awesome. Would have been nice if there was a way to attack while hanging from the wall, or to jump off so you can whip. Those enemies love to edge guard. Really could have used some sound effects, not even music just sound effects would have made it so much better. And it would have been nice if there was an explanation of the powers in game while you got them, maybe a simple popup box or better yet a little diagram above the canister showing what it does (like for the power charge it would show you green and then bursting through the stone walls).

It was really fun to play and seems like a nice demo. Would love to see this fleshed out into a complete game.

LD26 — Minimalism

Simply Escape by wccrawford 2013-05-06T18:57:00

I like "Escape the room games" and this one is very nice for the minimulist nature. The puzzle with the colored buttons is broken as I was able to pick up the key without doing the puzzle. Also, the detection on the button is a little off, I have to aim high for it. Nice little progression of levels, I know it is silly but would have liked to have a timer so I could see how fast I did it.

Colourless: The Deeds Of Evil Mr. Mono! by bb_buster 2013-04-30T20:52:00

I've also had an issue with low frame rate. I'll wait to rate it until I can test it at the proper speed.

LD28 — You Only Get One

.one. by Macroz 2014-01-01T15:40:00

I would be nice to see a full map after you complete/fail a level. Would have made it easier to figure out the rules initially. Love nice simple puzzle games.

You only get one digit! by drnick 2013-12-17T05:13:00

Nice idea, but math games aren't that fun.

Look Up by lekochen 2013-12-17T05:36:00

Very funny and original, though very repetitive having to go through that animation each time.

The Follower by Christina Antoinette Neofotistou 2014-01-01T22:16:00

The animation on the follower stuck after I picked her up, and sometimes she wouldn't move. Also, the tutorial items would flash too quickly (perhaps they thought I clicked on them when I was trying to move my follower)

Berathen Jam by Venks 2014-01-01T22:08:00

Pretty random. Not sure how the theme related.

You Only Get One, Make it count. by cdgugler 2013-12-21T15:36:00

Interesting concept, though very difficult to control, and it wasn't immediately clear where the exit was.

Axle by lun 2013-12-17T05:15:00

There is a delay when you press a direction and you can stick to walls, which makes it difficult for this type of precision platforming.

YOGO PUNCH by drewfitz 2013-12-31T02:44:00

The reversal is essentially a auto-win, so the game devolved into waiting for my opponent to get bored.

Santa's Dungeon tour by Granor 2013-12-31T04:24:00

Those sound effects were really grating, and the game started to lag with the larger puzzles, but still a very interesting and innovative game.

Hasty Santa by LeCherLich 2013-12-31T04:28:00

Great graphics, and I liked the menu animation. The sounds were kindof shocking, considering they weren't there all the time. Fairly simplistic gameplay, but I guess that is what makes it addictive.

1 Shot Armada by aneeslol 2013-12-17T05:27:00

I loved the graphics and sound for this. Some shots seemed far better than others, and the difficulty kindof petered off there, but otherwise a solid idea.

Tame Kitten by Diamonde 2013-12-31T04:30:00

Very adorable. Loved the angry sound effect.

ACCELERally by ovenchips 2013-12-16T03:08:00

I really like the style of the art. The music loops too quickly. You have a minute to play, but the music repeats every 5 seconds, becomes far too repetitive quickly.

Necronomnomnomicon by JoeProgram 2013-12-16T04:32:00

The controls are really difficult to deal with, all being on one hand and being sticky keys. I tried to use right shift and it didn't work. Loved the idea and the art and music.

You Only Get One Cookie by Andrew Adams 2013-12-16T04:12:00

Where did I get a fighter jet? Santa's presents collide with themselves, making him a really easy boss. Overall a very limited move set, but great art work.

Fat the police by Zekyon 2013-12-16T23:29:00

I played the web version and I couldn't hear any audio. Windows 7 firefox. Anyway, loved the art and the gameplay was nice if a little difficult to control.

Me And My Arrow by mtinkerhess 2013-12-17T05:10:00

Nice gameplay, though having to re-collect the arrow doesn't add much to the experience. Forcing yourself to a theme like that limits the fun.

One Refuge To Keep by Zhrack 2013-12-31T04:37:00

I liked the glow that the logs and the enemies had. Wasn't quite sure what to do after I found 5 pieces. It would have been nice to be able to free look with the camera to make sure I didn't miss anything.

Sugar Rush by ALP_Squid 2013-12-31T04:39:00

The wall jump was a bit tricky to use, but I really like the concept of a never stopping character.

STAR BATTER by CTATZ 2013-12-16T03:36:00

I love the animation in this. Very hard to control, but fun.

Love or gold by Copix 2013-12-31T04:45:00

Much rather would have had WASD than arrow keys, though I guess that is a preference. There wasn't a lot of feedback about whether or not I was doing damage.

Tether by orbitantlers 2013-12-16T03:25:00

Interesting take on the theme, though it was a bit too minimalist (not quite sure what I need to do or how to do it). I really liked the art and music.

Redemption by SilentBunny 2013-12-16T03:31:00

That one sound effect is really harsh. I like classic platformers. I wasn't really able to figure out what to do, I can see villagers but can't get to them.

You Only Get One by Broxxar 2013-12-31T05:04:00

The hit detection on the door was very difficult. After that, I thought everything was quite clever and I really liked the feel of the game.

Xbowan by VikingJonathan 2014-01-01T15:51:00

Would have liked a reticle, I also died because I clipped through the floor. I liked the lighting that the bolt gives you. Nice for looking ahead and plotting a course.

Race The One by HybridMind 2014-01-01T15:58:00

Annoying that it plays immediately (I wasn't even focused on that tab yet), and that I have to hit refresh to start over. Clever use of theme, and I liked the 1 explosion when you "crash"

Speck by gman1012 2014-01-01T16:00:00

Couldn't play, screen too big for my laptop.

The Trail by Orava 2013-12-16T04:07:00

Interesting to explore, but there is so little else to do.

Wishing Well by denvil 2014-01-01T16:53:00

I loved the comic and the graphics were great and the coin cam was funny. All and all a really great entry.

Tea time! by mrcdk 2014-01-01T17:14:00

Nice music actually, how did you make it?

You Only Have One Egg by teuchito 2014-01-01T17:33:00

I tried poach, boil, scramble, and fry. Turns out all I needed to do was "cook" the egg.

YOLO Simulator 2014 by EncryptedCow 2014-01-01T17:25:00

I committed suicide at age 50. I really don't know what that says about me.

Elimination Protocol by JayProg 2014-01-01T17:54:00

Very nicely polished. The character moves a little slow. The robots look fantastic. I loved the voices. Overall, a very nice entry.

Elimination Protocol by JayProg 2014-01-01T18:01:00

Very nicely polished. The character moves a little slow, both walking and turning. The robots look fantastic. I loved the voices. Overall, a very nice entry. The girlfriend loved it.

faif by Beavl 2014-01-04T15:56:00

A very nice little puzzle game. Really felt the missing sound effects.

Baldaquin2 by Marcellus 2014-01-01T17:49:00

Silly little game. Not quite sure what the point was, but fun with two people.

Planet LD-28 by Tragon 2014-01-01T17:42:00

Very interesting concept. Nice take on the theme. Leads to a lot of spray and pray gameplay.

Our Last Hat by Berzee 2013-12-17T05:42:00

Very nice take on the theme. I figured this theme would create a lot of puzzle games, and this is the best I've seen so far.

Cure the infected! by archaeometrician 2014-01-01T22:27:00

When I tried to walk into the crowd, everyone started flying and I teleported away. Really hard to navigate that way. The zombie also just started walking away, wasn't actively hunting anyone. The second playthrough went smoother, but dealing with the crowd is annoying.

The Wizard's Quest by zebi24 2014-01-01T22:42:00

Very nice take on the theme. The sound effect is too annoying to spam the attack button (which may be a good thing). It is hard to see things that appear on the top of the screen.

Pivotal Point by Juno Nguyen 2014-01-01T22:37:00

I really liked the art style in this, minimal but still very expressive. Having to refresh to try again is annoying, the theme shouldn't make the game annoying it should inspire. Also, it was too zoomed in, the first several attempts were just me flying around to get my bearings (which led me to accidentally destroy my own people).

Only Mortal by noobsticks 2013-12-21T18:56:00

The theme really shouldn't limit the fun of the game. Having to reload the page each time and go through that intro really just made the thing tedious.

The hunter by MrTedders 2013-12-21T19:02:00

I love the idea of an echo location game. The sound effects were a bit harsh, especially for headphones wearers. Otherwise, great concept.

The Right Block by dcampos 2013-12-17T05:31:00

From the start it wasn't quite clear what the goal of each puzzle was, but once it became clear it was a fun little game.

Nent by Zolmeister 2013-12-16T04:24:00

I love the graphics style of this. Took me a bit to realize I was supposed to be powering up, but by then it was too late.

ONE WEAPON - TO SAVE THE WORLD by CornflowerBlue 2014-01-01T22:04:00

Very nicely done. Loved that each weapon had its own pros and cons. The snowman was really hard, always just took the hit and ran.

Others Have Many by MarioY19 2013-12-18T01:23:00

Little hard to control, but still fun and a neat take on the theme.

You Only Get 1 by SupSuper 2013-12-18T01:09:00

Without more to go on this is really meh.

One Job One Shot by BluShine 2013-12-21T18:51:00

Very nicely polished. Loved the music and the slow down for bullet time.

Many Robots, One Laser by OmegaVesko 2013-12-18T01:13:00

Nice take on the theme, but some of those shots I'm pretty sure are impossible. Is there any check to make sure a level is winnable before presenting it?

Hammer Control by pkenney 2013-12-16T04:21:00

Love the concept. Really wish I had the ability to stand still while throwing. Feel I walked into people I should have hit. Love the little enemies, adorable.

Get One with Math by Lukasinho 2013-12-16T03:19:00

The controls a super sensitive, but a very interesting idea. Reminds me of those old edu-games.

YourOneAndOnly by npgames 2013-12-18T01:31:00

Really cute and polished. I liked it. The AI seems to like hugging one of the walls, so normally you just go to a corner and look up and side and you find who you are looking for.

lights out by Waterman7 2013-12-18T01:18:00

I liked the idea, though I wasn't quite sure what was friend and what was foe. Killing the leeches was difficult, but I don't think unfair. A good game.

Only One Chance to Kill Souperman by zeal 2013-12-18T01:19:00

Really annoying having to refresh the page in order to try a second time.

Unojo's One Button Adventure by Bezza 2013-12-18T01:27:00

Couldn't figure out the wall jump. If you could explain I'll give it another try and see how it goes.

This is not golf by bizn355 2013-12-16T03:12:00

If you don't jump (say fall off a cliff) the left/right controls still work so you start flying. If that was intentional, that was awesome.

You Only Get One Ball by DavidErosa 2013-12-18T01:38:00

One put a spike trap hidden in a bush in a children's playground?!?!?

One Wish by miwuc 2013-12-18T01:40:00

Neat little concept, though without more feedback I don't know if I can really call it a game.

Science Ship Cleomedes by KunoNoOni 2013-12-17T05:21:00

I like the you only get one option here (for the record, I liked the shield). I would like to have a count down timer for when the item recharges, but I loved the sound effect for it.

TabulaQuondam by monkeymad2 2013-12-18T02:02:00

I like the concept, but the character needs to move a lot faster. Though I assume this is the point, I wish there were more cues as to how far you've moved. I'm sure I walked right past my landmark because I couldn't tell if I was moving at all.

One Bullet by baton4ik 2013-12-18T01:50:00

With such short patrols it is hard to sneak up on people, and the two bounce weapon is really only a desperation weapon. Neat idea, however.
