Great idea and looks awesome, despite only seeing a little cone at a time. No audio and way too short.

Great idea and looks awesome, despite only seeing a little cone at a time. No audio and way too short.
Really liked the gameplay, music got kind of annoying though.
I really liked the concept, but the controls and sound effects kind of kill it. I didn't get very far because the enemy moved way too fast for me to react. I really liked the atmosphere though, I would love to see some more depth go into this.
Thanks for the feedback, I figured the blank brown screens would be an issue. Should have set aside more time for maps. I'm interested in what kind of scores you guys get, I've never really made a game like this before and it'd be neat to have some data on how many days people survive. I'm definitely going to pick this back up after the results are in and flesh it out a little more.
@df458, I didn't even think about sleeping in other houses, it would be a cool mechanic to go farther from the safe food in the soil areas at the bottom to have easier access to the better scavenging spots.
Instructions would be grand. I was able to move a little peg for a while but then it ignored my instructions and ran into a thing. All of that aside, the game looks and sounds pretty cool.
Weird game but pretty impressive for a gba rom. I've worked with those before and they are not easy. Aside from a few bugs it was an interesting game.
Art was extremely good. Not a very deep game and a little buggy.
Cool game, I had a lot of fun with it for how small it is. The flea is kind of hard to see, would have been nice to see a camera track it or just a really tall game window.
The ship doesn't move fast enough, an upgrade for the would have done wonders. The aesthetics of the game are pretty decent and the concept was really good. Like a remake of motherload.
Pretty fun for a simple game. Graphics were a little bleh.
Really cool idea, audio kind of got on my nerves and it was difficult for me to get more than 5-6 target colors. I really like the concept though.
I played it last night on my laptop, having some issues with the unity player on my work mac (would be nice to have a straight downloadable). Lots of fun in a frustrating way, old school feel where the jumps have to be exactly right. The bugs kind of kill it, but it makes it more of a challenge, I feel like I HAVE to beat this now.
This is a really fun concept. Could have been built up a little more with the ability to move faster and stuff. But I liked it a lot.
Kind of fun, a little drab and not well scaled for difficulty. The art is pretty good for the style, like an old game boy. I found a lot of pretty serious bugs like no killing the enemies in top down order makes you die. I ended up killing the boss first try in two hits so I didn't get to see half the spells.
Really good potential, lot of fun and really good artwork. But missing essentials like a health bar and transitions kind of kill it. Wish you guy had the time to finish it.
Really cool idea. I don't know if it's just the low specs on my computer but every few seconds the game would freeze and take up about 8 seconds on my timer which made it impossible to destroy more than 30%. But the game looks beautiful and is a really cool idea.
Super awesome, my favorite game of Ludum Dare so far. Really fast cool strategy game.
This is a really big game. I'm gonna have to go back through it again. The controls are kind of clunky in my opinion I found it really hard to collect the resources around planets, one tap of the thrusters sent me to the other side of the planet and missed everything. That said, the size of the game is really really impressive, kind of reminds me of star flight for the sega genesis.
Made it all the way I think, I found the orange guy and everything faded to black. Could have been a little more understandable, it was hard to tell what to do after you get floaty.
Pretty fun, with good art. I felt like there didn't need to be two scenes where people are gettin it on right in a row. But it was funny and lots of fun.
Pretty good little strategy game. I wish there was more to it, I just ended up standing in the back until one wizard was left with no health and beat the crap out of him.
I can't play it on my laptop, if you go into the project settings and switch to Reach mode, more people will be able to play.
Good game, the graphics could use a little work but the level designs were interesting.
Fun and simple. At first I was like "wtf I have 100 bullets why is it only shooting 4? Oh... I get it"
I loved it, really interesting puzzles and decent art for the time frame.
For a proof of concept this is pretty good. I like the idea, but some polish would do wonders.
Tried to play the OSX version and it wouldn't respond.
Cool puzzle game. Could have used a button to go back to big instead of waiting. But the puzzles were well designed for 48 hours.
Likewise, I opened the red door and it broke.
Great game, look really good and plays well minus the weird digging up crop controls. I liked it a lot.
I liked it a lot, wish it had a little more depth in the visual and control aspect. The game's a really good start.
I got through to the end but the camera movement was killing me.
Great concept ant I really liked the art, if it had some upgrades and resource management it would be a really cool game.
Hilarious and awesome. Difficulty was really up there but it was a lot of fun watching the dinosaurs just swing around planets.
Awesome, really simple and a bear head for some reason. Would be nice to have a map so I could see where trees are. I got 4 stars and was frantically searching for air, but couldn't find any. But a really good game anyway.
It is pretty insane, I left it on at work while I stepped out for lunch with the volume turned up so every 30 seconds it yelled "BEEF WAR". I thought it was cool, but really difficult, the tanks would move right before I beefed them.
Fun game, impressive style for a bunch of basic shapes. I got to around 2500 before I crapped out, is there actually a prize or is that an empty promise?
Movement was a little awkward but I liked it.
Really good game. Pretty simple and easy to get a hold on. A little difficult, the enemies shoot a little too fast, but otherwise a really solid game. Nice work.
Weird game, I kind of liked it but I'm also kind of terrified by it.
Great game, nice a simple. Pretty well balanced and tophat. Graphics left a little to be desired, but everything else was pretty spot on.
I love the concept, very interesting. Graphics are pretty good and original.
I am thoroughly confused
Good game, I ran out of helium and now I have to wait centuries to do anything. That should probably be a little less rare considering you need so many conveyors to gather resources. Nice graphics though and really neat concept.
Good point on the boss deaths not being epic enough, I will be adding some kind of fanfare to that so it feels like you did something good. The bosses all in all were a bit rushed and I have some interesting ideas to add depth to them. Thanks again for this second wave of feedback! You guys are really kicking my motivation into high gear.
Good game, I was a little foggy on what to do but the graphics are good and it's fun to build the little world.
I liked the graphics a lot, didn't really get the rest. I kept running off the side of the screen while the blurry effect was going.
I really like the style of this.
Really fun little game, played it all the way to the end. Kind of annoying that the boss killed me in like 2 hits with full health and armor, but I managed to get it down.
Pretty good game, really smooth for a browser game.
The particles are pretty gratifying. It was really hard to hit things with the tiny range of the weapon though.
Holy hell this is great. I almost passed this up because it's late and it didn't have a web player, but man am I glad I didn't. This music is amazing.
I would go with option A. I like the idea, but yea there should be more there. Looking forward to the finished thing if you continue to work on it.
Pretty good, the movement was a little off. Maybe that's just my computer though. Wish there was more to it than just spamming the button at people.
Perfect scores down the board, this is so good. Really REALLY well executed.
Btw, found your game on a list with mine, proud to be on that list even if I don't really understand what it says. https://www.indiemag.fr/forum/lactu-inde-reagissez/t4389-ludum-dare-32-unconventionnal-weapon-partagez-vos-jeux
Worked for me, although the camera was very glitchy, it would lag behind at random rates and looked really choppy. Didn't really detract from the game, which was awesome.
Great voxel art and fantastic gameplay. Wish it ramped up in difficulty a little faster. I actually didn't realize I could destroy the signs the first try and still thought it was a pretty easy game even then.
Really great though. Loved it.
The graphics make it a little hard to tell what's happening, although they are absolutely gorgeous. The music and audio fit really nicely and I had a lot of fun with it. Overall it's really really good.
Didn't really get it. I think the art is fantastic, but it was a little too simple and there wasn't really a challenge.
Also the audio was a bit grating.
I went through every dialog option and wish there was more to it, there's only a few differing scenes and they all kind of end the same. It really did take me in though, it's an interesting story.
Didn't click at first and thought that the best strategy was to just sit in a corner, but once I got it I found it really intriguing. I think it's a really cool concept.
This is exactly what I needed after the last game I reviewed made me install like 5 python packages and downgrade my java runtime, very serene. Really tough to play on a trackpad, made me wish there were buttons to change color as well. Really nice though, thoroughly enjoyed it.
Took me a while to get it, and I wish there was some narrative to go along with it. In the end though I really liked it. It's really simple and really effective.
One of my first thoughts was "I wish this was longer so these decisions had more of an impact". But I don't know that I would have actually finished it if it went on for more than 5 rounds. Probably a good decision on your part.
Nice job overall. Enjoyed it.
It's a really cool combat system, reminded me of Parasite Eve. It's a little unfinished maybe? It looks like some of the spells have no effect. Otherwise it's a pretty great game, the graphics are a bit standard but they have they've got character, which is better than them being high quality but boring.
Really really hard, I tried 3 or 4 times to get past the second level and just couldn't do it. Can't really blame someone for balancing issue in a LD game though, just a shame that I can't get to the later evolutions.
Really cool god damned game though. If it were a little easier it would definitely play the hell out of this thing on Kongregate or something if you continue working on it.
Probably my favorite so far. It's extremely whimsical, all the pickups feel meaningful and are easily understandable. The music was great, this was all around amazing.
I wish the people were different in a way other than their sprite, but I liked the game.
Pretty good, I liked the way it played and the sound fit particularly well.
Only gripe is that the level was difficult to negotiate. I wish the platforms on either side were level so I could fire burritos long range. As it is now, I basically ran up to them and handed the burritos to them because there was so little space on the platform to see it flying.
Really fun, a couple of the puzzles I found frustrating, but maybe I was just solving them wrong? The one that is just a huge drop off with spikes down the side was really difficult to pull of even though I knew how to do it the entire time. Flawless in every other respect though.
Same as the other guys, tried everything and can't get past those two blue guys.
Impressive soundtrack for 48 hours. The physics are a bit wonk, but I had a lot of fun playing it and beat the whole thing. Don't remember what my score is because I don't think I saw it on the credits.
Good music, game was a little simple, but I did like the story. Could've used some something bigger for the tank ending than just some text.
Liked it, had to read the controls because it was hard to tell what was happening at first, but they were explanatory enough that I got it right afterwards.
A little simple for my tastes but what is there is really solid. Overall great job and great music choice.
You should try packaging it up, running a shell script to play a game is a lot of hassle.
I didn't have a second person to play with but the training was cool enough. Couldn't quite figure out how the throwing worked, just seemed to go in a random direction the whole time. But then I figured out that staying in the center just made it rotate around until something else walked into it.
I also got the boomerang stuck on a pillar a few times and had to restart.
Amazing artwork though, no complaints there.
Taking on a puzzle game is pretty ballsy. They always leave me wishing there were more levels. Especially since this one starts to get interesting around the same time it ends. Was really good though, just wish you had more time to put some more into it.
I think it was awesome. Not a fan of dubstep myself, but I did wish I could hear the music more. Maybe if the song played continuously, but ramped up in volume or if shooting the gun trigger the "Drop".
Really cool concept, would love to see it delved into a little deeper. I couldn't get a score higher than 9, so it's a little difficult, but it's still really cool. Wish it was zoomed in more so I could actually see the artwork, because it looks really good but I have to squint my eyes to make it out.
I thought it was good, I had a lot of trouble getting through it because the enemies would hit me nearly every time. There's not much of a window to get in and hit them. I could sneak up on them sometimes, which was really cool, but I ended up getting stuck of the terrain mostly and messing it up.
Can't get it to work on my macbook. The entire page freezes and errors out on chrome. Which is a shame because this looks awesome.
Music and sound were pretty good, the visuals hurt my eyes a little bit. Overall it was fun though. I think if you get to the end without enough juice to kill the virus it just ends in a stalemate, which is kind of a bummer. I beat him though.
This is amazing. I absolutely can't get enough of it, it's so fun to play. Great scores down the board.
I enjoyed this WAY more than I initially thought. It feels really good flinging enemies into the spikes. I didn't like that the player just kind of flailed around at first, but then I realized it was kind of great.
Damn near perfect. I think it glitched out or something for me on the third level, I hit every crystal but there was a gap that never closed up. Still astonishingly impressive.
There's an unbelievable amount of character in this game with such simple graphics.
This player movement is extraordinarily slow. I took forever to find Johnny and I almost gave up. I only fought the one monster on the way which was kind of a bummer, so for me it was just a really slow walk over to find sleeping Johnny.
Could have been better. It would have been nice if the choices actually impacted how quickly or slowly you destroyed the island, which I think is what you were going for, which would have been cool. It's a great idea, it just need probably more love than 48 hours.
Graphics are really good and it's a great idea, but the AI is wonky as hell. I actually had 3 guys that downright refused to turn around and continuously walked into a boulder for over a minute before a mummy finally put them out of their misery. It would be nice if the guys were a little less random with their movements.
I also thought it was a little cheap that my guys would get caught by a mummy literally the instant they spawned, there should be some kind of notification of where they will spawn so I can move the mummies away.
As someone stated in another comment though, all of this is pretty moot when you just put boulders in this formation.
http://imgur.com/TOb0Hv4
This makes it so everything has to go through the plant room, so that you can let the game sit forever and no mummies will ever get through.
Almost gave up on it, glad I didn't. It works really well and is hard to grasp at first but it's really satisfying rubbing "her" face in the dirt after you steal all her friends.
Very slippery controls and precise jumping are a killer for this game. I would constantly knock my head on things and it would bring me to a dead stop, falling helplessly into aliens.
The good parts of this game are great though, the artwork is impressive, the music (while it's playing) is intense, and the light/dark mechanic is cool.
Would really like to see it in a later stage where the movement is more ironed out.
Likewise, it's also not even loading on Kongregate.
Oh man, I loved this. The music and the graphics were amazing.
Only downsides are that the collision with the broken walls messes you up a lot and it's WAYYYY too short. I really wanted more.
It's still phenomenal though.
I get a fatal error as soon as the ball collides with the man.
Can't play the web version and I'm on a mac right now so the windows version is out too.
I loved it, it was just basic enough to grab my interest. I did have some technical problem and it glitched out and killed me towards the end. Maybe it was a game jolt ad in the back bogging it down or something.
Loved it. A little bit too hard though, the chickens were extremely difficult to dodge.
Moving around can be a little frustrating, but this game is gold. When I hit a goat and got the sad music, I stopped like "oh man, if you hit the animals your game is over?" then the happy music started playing again. That was a special moment I had and I'll never forget it.
Oh man this is absolutely one of my favorites. It really felt like an old PS1 game, which really took me back. I loved the shield throwing mechanic, even if it was a little difficult to figure out where I was aiming and where the shield was at times.
I kept hammering keys to try to find a shop, only to find that the gold was just a score. I felt like a lot of the enemies could have less health, it took a really long time to kill a rat because the shield would bounce straight up into the air after hitting him.
Maybe it would have been nice to have a variable throwing strength that would do more damage but slow you down or something.
The music was really good, but I don't really get what you're supposed to do. I got through all the levels, but can you ever get a higher score?
@seraphki, good point. I added the controls to the description. Hopefully it helps some people out.
I'm deeply confused by this and totally into it. This was spectacularly insane.
