Nice! I like the art and the comments of the other workers :)

GreyShock 2012-04-24 07:46

Wow. I really liked it. Original game concept. Also, I liked a lot the feeling that the world and my partners were alive. Their AI and their comments were great, and possibilities such chopping the mother tree.. delicious :D

papygaragos 2012-04-24 07:54

I loved this one, don't know why. This game really feels "finished"

icefox 2012-04-24 08:24

Not entirely sure what the heck is going on, or how this is supposed to help... but that won't stop me! I shall chop these trees as they have never been chopped before!

kitch 2012-04-25 04:30

Nice work. I'm really happy that all my friends still like me after all those unfortunate axe accidents.

sonnybone 2012-04-25 04:39

Really interesting concept... and hilarious when you chop your pals in the face. I think I encountered a glitch... I went to sleep early and woke up to all the villagers just sort of frozen in place. I went to sleep again and they were reset the next morning.

r3ason 2012-04-25 04:42

Good. Very good. Has a really polished feel to it; like a tiny world really lives inside of this game. Hey...imagine that... Thanks!

nefariouszhen 2012-04-25 04:47

For whatever reason my first playthrough involved killing the rest of the villagers. I really enjoyed the open ended ness of the game.

robcozzens 2012-04-25 04:52

Not exactly sure what I was supposed to be doing... except stacking wood.

cakencode 2012-04-25 04:56

omg this game was wildly compelling. it took me a few seconds to fully grasp what was going to happen, and then...it hit me. and boy did it hit me. I loved this game, I gave it high marks just for how it drew me in and how mysterious it was. The mood and atmosphere was great.

mildmojo 2012-04-25 05:01

Nifty world-in-a-box. Killing friends and then raising them by dark magic was pretty cool. I wasn't sure what to do on my second playthrough when I'd blown all the axes on chopping through the rock. The third time through, I got everything in the right order and let my minions gaze with empty eyes at the battle raging in the heavens while I turned my eyes earthward and chopped mercilessly at the mother tree. Totally made it out alive.

pixel_3 2012-04-25 05:44

Good game. Like the art, multiple endings give it a little replayability, the AI for the other lumberjacks is great. The amount of interaction you can have with the environment is really something.
Only thing is once all four endings are discovered there is little reason to re-play it.

Wow, great game! I especially loved the concept and the art style.

derrickdool 2012-04-26 04:08

This was great. Has fantastic setting/mood.
Played quite a few times trying to find different interactions/endings.

buffalophil 2012-04-26 04:38

Love it!

kassoon 2012-04-26 04:48

Wow, neat! Quite a bit of AI and interaction for 48 hours. I got two of the endings, though I was tapping d when the second one came up and missed it. I liked playing with everything, and finding secrets felt really naturally. Nice job!

strega 2012-04-26 04:48

That was really awesome. There were so many things to do and try. I loved the feedback from the npcs. Sometimes things would respawn instantly, but maybe that's intentional.

mess110 2012-04-26 06:05

work work. love that reference

dokidoki 2012-04-26 06:25

I'm choppin' for mah life!

pierrec 2012-04-26 10:26

Very very nice!I'm still looking for the last two endings

moop 2012-04-26 18:41

Pixel art is the best :)

mesene 2012-04-29 00:36

I enjoyed it too much, liked the landscape resolution... you should make a gamethrough nice job :)

blackdogg 2012-04-29 13:30

I love experimentation in game, great entry !

po8rewq 2012-04-29 22:07

Really interesting game!! great job!

funkydelpueblo 2012-04-30 00:38

I like that even in such a small game, you've managed to make a number of branching decisions for the user to take. Neat stuff!

stardynamic 2012-04-30 01:01

I love this game. I love the way you implemented the concept and had dynamic gameplay. The endings were neat too! Thank you so much!

summaky 2012-04-30 07:15

I didn't quite understand this game. All I was doing is chopping wood and stacking it. Then I found some kind of pickaxe or something, but didn't know what to do with it. I liked the graphics, though.

ointment 2012-04-30 10:01

This was... surreal. Wow. The village feels alive, and everything is like it's from a dream. Only in Ludum Dare does one come across games like this.

gregdevice 2012-04-30 15:16

Great concept! Enjoyed the interaction with the NPCs. It did feel like we were working together on some large goal. Was there anything more after the wood was stacked?

free_napalm 2012-04-30 18:27

The mood is incredible tense, and reminded me of Majora's Mask. Being able to interact with everything allows interesting choices. The NPCs' reactions are priceless, especially when you are the psycho of your group (You want to know why I chopped our house? So you sleep junkies get to work) lol
One of my favourite games of this LD.

pabloam 2012-05-01 13:36

Nice game, I like the graphics :)

crazyheckman 2012-05-01 19:11

Awesome game, great graphics and really really cool. I got 3 endings and am trying to get the 4th, but I'm currently at work and shouldn't be playing games so....

ratboy2713 2012-05-03 04:33

Very nice, though the build up was kindof slow.

puzzlem00n 2012-05-06 20:16

Okay, two things: A- Thank you so much for creating endeavor, my favorite game of all time, and B- This game's pretty sweet, too. I got two endings so far. I really like how every last thing is interactive. Keep it up!

marudziik 2012-05-06 21:59

Have seen 3 endings. Very good, excellent work. I wish there was some music, but it's addictive anyway. I'd prefer 'X' + arrows for control.

brighterorange 2012-05-07 00:34

I like this game. I played through it three times, first to try to get the "worst" ending (chopped down the mother tree and killed everyone), second to try to get the "good" ending (helped stack up non-useless trees, got the axe, hid in the cave), third to try getting another ending. Downsides: It wasn't at all clear to me what other things might influence the ending. It was hard to chop trees without accidentally killing guys. The 5 minute cycle was too long, and some kind of literal timer would have helped. I didn't see any need to actually go to sleep? Upsides: Good graphics, idea, interactions. It was gripping enough for me to try to play and get different endings.

gavin5564 2012-05-11 22:22

Great little game, Love the hidden items you left around.
