callidus 2012-04-23 07:02

Bah! My Web hosting just went down the day after Ludum Dare :( Worst timing ever. Anyway if you go here http://dl.dropbox.com/u/971318/LD23/index.html the game should still work being served from dropbox, loading times are long though.

kimau 2012-04-23 09:23

Took me a second to realise the controls but pretty awesome ^_^

I'm really liking HTML5 as a 2D game engine.

wookoouk 2012-04-23 09:32

I really love it, the audio and controls were slightly off but it was really smooth (on my lowend work machine) and good fun.

andrebeton 2012-04-23 19:48

The page just says "This Account Has Been Suspended".

adventureislands 2012-04-23 19:48

The Web link only shows a message "Account suspended".

dakowta 2012-04-23 19:51

Nice think I might go for HTML5 next year

crazyheckman 2012-04-23 19:52

Pretty good game, really smooth for a browser game.

waschnick 2012-04-23 19:55

I can't die, is this normal?

polar 2012-04-23 20:18

Really fun, great game! It opens up a whole new world of possibility to HTML5 games (which was previously none in my mind) :)

cosmologicon 2012-04-23 23:05

It took me a while to figure out the goal. I think I was thrown by the fact that the sound effect when you land on a flower sounds like you're getting hurt, but I suppose it's a happy buzz.

callidus 2012-04-24 06:12

Thanks for the comments everyone, please note that because of a hosting issue the game is at http://dl.dropbox.com/u/971318/LD23/index.htm NOT in the link in the post :-(

callidus 2012-04-24 06:41

OK finally found out how to edit your submission posts, link in the post now works! :-D

zamando 2012-04-24 11:00

Way too easy. You should add some more game mechanics!

andrew-2 2012-04-24 19:18

It took a while to figure out that some things are in fact obstacles, and that wasps can only hurt you if you're on flowers but once I got that sorted I made short work out of kiting the wasps and doing little drive by swoops of the flowers.

robcozzens 2012-04-24 20:09

Really great graphics. It would be nice if you could go from one level to another more smoothly.

7soul 2012-04-25 20:51

Not really a good game, but at least it fits the theme quite well

dukope 2012-04-26 08:23

Some explanation of the controls and the objective (in-game) would be nice. Also, dying or completing the objective just freezes up confusingly.

daredevildave 2012-04-26 16:15

Not bad little game, enemies seem to get stuck on the world.

derosa 2012-04-26 22:15

Good one! As someone said, It'd be great if you changed the level automatically after winning.

gnx 2012-04-27 00:17

This actually controls very well. If there were some projectiles to shoot etc. this could be a very fun game.

Atrocious menus.

killswitch 2012-04-28 00:07

I think this suites the theme very well. The sound effects are kind of disturbing. The game was both fun and frustrating for me; I don't know exactly how to avoid many parasites.

racarate 2012-04-30 02:47

The art was fun, flowers looked like red tortilla chips. The sound was very harsh, it made me cry inside. The game itself was about in-between -- the fast motion of the bee was very bee-like, and the patrol behavior of the wasps were aggressive, but not too much so. Presentation-wise, it was super bugly when the game just ended upon death or success. I would have loved to see some effects and animations on those bug characters. Also, music would have added a ton of atmosphere. Overall, insect-tacular!

voidchronos 2012-04-30 20:45

Not bad at all. The sound affects are quite annoying though. Anyway, Good Job!

sestren 2012-05-13 23:29

I enjoyed the visuals and flying around dodging the wasps. As others have already said, more levels and a legitimate level select and ending would have been nice.
