LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

Unicycle Survival by Jogy34 2015-04-29T23:01:00

Fun concept and well put together. At one point I left the parking lot and ended up outside the unicenter instead. Once I got back to the base one of the NPCs, the mechanic maybe?, was un-interactable. The letter 'z' appeared in the corner like usual when I got close to him, but pressing it did nothing.

Dislocator by arhpositive 2015-04-26T02:49:00

Very different feel. Got pretty tough at a good pace.

Aquatic Regia by swinestudios 2015-04-26T02:05:00

Cool weapon idea, but it does feel ineffective. Would be good to be able to aim it some.

It was a couple levels before I realized that I had beaten any levels, seemed like being teleported.

An Ice Time by jayemjee 2015-04-26T02:19:00

Neat idea. Would like to see more levels.

Dye by solarexplorer 2015-04-26T03:02:00

Nice art and feel. Nothing really to interact with as a player, just hold down the arrow key and read the text.

Bears in the Dark by Ivan Volkov 2015-04-21T15:21:00

Great concept and pretty tough. Good feeling of suspense sitting with the light off waiting to hear a roar.

WHISTLE! WHISTLE! by dwemthy 2015-04-21T14:28:00

Graphics by my friend Karl who joined me in the jam, he drew everything over the course of the weekend.

Mario and the Poetry by gruhn 2015-04-26T02:36:00

Cool game. Nice intro and outro.

Baguette Jousting by MegaPonies 2015-04-29T23:07:00

This is great. Cool concept. The pushing force felt a little too strong sometimes, like pushing hard directly away from a character by rotating.

Kill 'em With Kindness by DaveCarlile 2015-04-21T14:54:00

Great concept, a little slow moving at times and I couldn't tell if the descriptions of the soldiers' feelings were hints about what items to give them or not.

Dreamy Pillow by n9Mtq4 2015-04-29T23:19:00

Fun game. The ghosts' movement and attacks vs. the girl's movement and attacks builds a good base for a horror-ish game. The graphics seem kind of bright for that kind of mood, if the colors were darker and gloomier it would build that mood a lot. The strange movements of the ghosts makes it challenging and makes them seem more otherworldly.

Hotel Rainbow by wrodsfddfs 2015-04-26T02:39:00

Doesn't load for me either.

Legends of Kersalmon by tummyache 2015-05-07T15:31:00

The special power was the way to go, no limit to its usage. Art style is great. Like others have said the jump feels too floaty/high. Great overall!

LD33 — You are the Monster

Galaxy Hop by AntonyBaasan 2015-08-26T02:21:00

Fun concept. Lots of potential. Controlling the strength of a flick was difficult.

Stomp City by Hero7785 2015-08-26T02:11:00

Couldn't do anything on the web player. Clicked and hit most keyboard keys and nothing happened.

taikun by zillix 2015-08-26T14:58:00

Lots of fun, very different gameplay, enjoyed it a lot.

INSIDIAE by FistBumpGames 2015-08-26T01:41:00

Really great style and mood. The pace and animations really created a sense of tension. After blue declared rock paper scissors for a vote with just one other person(green) nothing happened and the game just sat idle, might be a bug or just ran out of time.

Hero Mate by Lancelot Gao 2015-08-26T02:07:00

Great game. Solid graphics, neat concept that was developed well over the levels.

Be THE Monster by eLLectron 2015-08-25T14:05:00

Great idea. Good variety of abilities to pick from. AI kind of gave up sometimes and kept running into a corner which made it really easy to kill, but otherwise pretty challenging.

Handsome Fishman by dwemthy 2015-08-26T17:50:00

>Great music and cool enemies! Was a bit hard, so I couldn't get further than the skeleton skull as the game reset to start at each "death". The mood was awesome and I loved the handling of the control information at the start!

I think you might have commented on the wrong game? There's no skeletons in this game, other than hiding inside the fishman and swimmers.

Lardum by Grahhhhh 2015-08-26T01:22:00

Got 4/7 endings. Neat way to affect the story.

All work and no play by wijnen 2015-09-02T19:58:00

Took a very long time to load. Love the egg laying sound effects; sounds painful. Also the dying sound is great.

The Unspeakable Horror That Came From Underground by RottenFish 2015-08-25T14:37:00

Graphics style is really great. Controls are a little hard to land attacks, which got frustrating with the limited stamina and very slow recharge time.

LD35 — Shapeshift

polyAgonY by raffitz 2016-04-23T02:37:00

Kept not being able to find pygame even though it's installed (OS/X). Seems like a cool concept.

The Amorphous Adventure of Blod by Croze 2016-04-20T04:48:00

Couldn't run it on mac, made sure that my security settings allow apps from anywhere and still got a message that it couldn't be run.

ˈSHāpˌSHift by GogglesKitty 2016-04-25T01:38:00

Great concept and execution, very tough to get exact.

Helium-4 by mountainstorm 2016-05-03T20:12:00

Not sure what I was doing, but it was fun!

Do Robots Dream About Yoga? by MementoGames 2016-04-20T05:05:00

Mr. Purrgalar by KairosXIII 2016-04-20T04:56:00

Really solid entry, nice concept. The pause menu has a great style.

Tekmaster by galpin_a 2016-04-20T22:11:00

5/7

LD36 — Ancient Technology

Tori Tori Panic! by fundamental.phantom 2016-08-31T19:02:00

Lot of fun and potential. Managed to hit a bird after it flew away a few times, maybe wait until its off screen to consider the level lost?

Rampage of Technology by kokiriandco 2016-08-30T15:44:00

Ran out of memory at the end of the opening sequence.

Fix It by Cawrtz 2016-08-30T17:02:00

Fun game. The fall distance before death is a little long. Really enjoyed the backstage/on-stage concept.

Extinguish the dinosaurs by foxroxracer 2016-08-30T17:12:00

Neat game. Played on itch.io and didn't notice your comment about lighting bugs, wasn't sure if I should leave the initial zone that wasn't receiving a shadow. Once I got the hang of it throwing stacks of phones and tapes at groups of dinos was pretty satisfying.

Kungo by kingpirux 2016-08-30T15:40:00

Cool game, rough to get through. Damage to player doesn't feel consistent. Sometimes standing near an enemy would do no damage, other times it would kill me very quickly.

LD38 — A Small World

For The Love Of Money by KunoNoOni 2017-05-04T04:25:52Z

Solid game with smooth controls and nice music. Great levels. Graphics don't really have a consistent look but I did enjoy the pixel run animation. While there's nothing new or exciting going on it's a good 48 hour platformer.

End of a World by mikolak 2017-05-14T23:13:12Z

Really different game. Great sense of pressure from the audio as well as visual effects. Pretty hard to figure out what to prioritize under so much pressure.

Id's Journey by red-fan-games 2017-05-04T04:10:14Z

Windows 7 here, 64 bit did not work but 32 bit did. Very strange atmosphere and music, enjoyed the mood it created. Had trouble jumping accurately but managed to get to the candle, not much further though.

Rogue Basement by Steve Johnson 2017-05-04T02:51:53Z

@steve-johnson Really fun game with great music. The manual is well done and informative, wish I had read it before playing.

Tribes of the Turtleland by ArtKurkowski 2017-05-14T23:24:59Z

Love the sound effects and music. Lots of fun to push groups off the turtle. Awesome art style too.

Life of an Ant by Connor McGrory 2017-05-04T03:13:33Z

Very funny game with nice music! Controls felt a little slow and on the second day even though I found and picked up 0 dirt I got praised. The end made it worth it and the scripted feel made sense. For the controls: up and down are overriden by right and left but not the other way around and if it did allow switching to whichever direction is pressed last it'd be really nice.

Micro Conquest by Blueman 2017-05-14T23:07:09Z

Decent strategy game, definitely reminds me of Risk as others have noted. Combat seemed to favor the defender so I defeated AIs by taking spaces around them until they wore themselves down then attacking to finish them off.

LD42 — Running out of space

Storage Corp Ltd. by PixelFormedStudios 2018-08-16T03:48:43Z

Couldn't figure out what to do with the compression screen. Cool idea and nice atmosphere with the graphics though.

Deadpan Gulch by dwemthy 2018-08-13T18:01:29Z

@lukel Didn't have time to make up a decision process for AI to initiate duels, would have liked to though. Some AI will accept a duel if you challenge them more than X times, and Oprah will always accept a duel unless she has way more gold than you. Also meant to make some harder than others but didn't get to tweaking the numbers. Couldn't get the music to play and didn't have time to work it out, adding a link to the desired music to the description.

Deadpan Gulch by dwemthy 2018-08-14T20:23:53Z

@raccoon-js What kind of bugs did you see related to naming? Wasn't aware of anything with that but I definitely didn't test that aspect thoroughly.

Passengers Tetris by Gao Ming 2018-08-15T03:59:04Z

This is just amazing. Love the chill music and the passenger's faces while I cram them into the compartment.

Rainforest by SimoGecko 2018-08-13T18:15:55Z

Looks absolutely gorgeous. Played a quick game on 'Lazy' mode and it definitely took a minute to get started. Didn't realize at first that I could pick up packages anywhere along the conveyor as long as I could reach them. Controls took a moment to get used to, felt too fast at first, but they serve the gameplay well.

Building On The Edge by theslate 2018-08-15T01:28:01Z

Liked the style and how the new rooms were delivered on trucks. Had some control issues placing rooms where I wanted on the WebGL version. There were times were I was sure I was placing things in one spot and then the piece would go back to the truck. Also couldn't really place things on square behind already places rooms.

Gunning Out Of Space by ytaha 2018-08-13T15:40:03Z

Great use of the theme and really well rounded game.

MondrianCraft by kromeboy 2018-08-13T16:32:11Z

Nice relaxing entry. Got to a point where I had one big red block, some medium sized white ones, and a couple tine beige ones. Couldn't combine any more or figure out if there was gameplay left.

Stomacho by louckousse 2018-08-13T17:27:05Z

Cool idea. Very hard to strategize since there's no indication when food is available. Took a little while to realize that the sprite changed when vomiting. More feedback when player does things would take the game to another level.

Soggy Bunny by rexpeppers 2018-08-15T01:35:06Z

Great little game

Captain Graphite by honey 2018-08-17T19:24:44Z

Really great style, sound effects and music created good atmosphere. Never felt like space was running out. Noticed that the bottom got cut off eventually but the top just extended forever. Limited space, planets, and satellites would create more of a feeling of needing to hold on to resources for actually fighting the saucers.

Panic at the Haunted Hotel by Danilo Nishimura 2018-08-15T03:43:57Z

Cool take on a pac man like game. The isometric view tripped me up with the controls a few times. Good sound effects and ambiance.

Shrinking Out by SoyerTek 2018-08-14T04:29:53Z

Would have liked bigger boxes to push the walls back more than they did. Good use of the theme.

Popcorn Mayhem by Cary Stanley 2018-08-13T17:48:19Z

Didn't play in Chrome and don't know my laptop screen refresh rate. Controls feel delayed. First level was fine but the stairs + turning around in the next one were really hard to get past.

Island Populating Simulator by Arthur Baars 2018-08-17T19:29:30Z

Really enjoyed the dialog. Gameplay wasn't too challenging, could be ramped up in difficulty over time. Saw a construction worker sail past the island at one point, guess he didn't want to get shoved into the water!

Compression by JohnyF 2018-08-14T04:23:08Z

Got through the first level without any issues besides my own lack of skill. Couldn't get past the second level but it was working fine. When restarting the second level after a game over the path was blocked when the level started and I had to lose and try again to get the progress to reset.

Really great glitch effects, loved how they got more pronounced over time. Great take on the theme.

LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

Sacrifice Now by wan 2018-12-09T20:36:08Z

You got a lot done on this, it was really hard to manage the needs of the group and I was actually surprised at how long my last 5 people survived. Too bad they got eaten by a bear.

Model Trains Inc by Local Minimum 2018-12-23T18:31:52Z

Hilarious sfx and cool idea. Unrelated to the game I love the gif in @picapica 's profile pic

Final Flight of STS Recovery by masterkrepta 2018-12-09T19:48:30Z

Movement is a little slow, sometimes get stuck on a slope. Being able to aim the gun with the mouse would be nice too. Good mood created by the music. Had to stop when one of the enemies pushed me down through the ground and I was falling forever.

Night of the Clawrm by dwemthy 2018-12-06T03:39:26Z

@kantieno Sorry it wasn't working, had a few issues with different builds. Those issues are all fixed and should be playable now, if you'll give it a second chance.

Night of the Clawrm by dwemthy 2018-12-06T16:10:03Z

@vlad-dae Oh no! Thought that was fixed, but apparently not..

Night of the Clawrm by dwemthy 2018-12-06T16:48:13Z

@vlad-dae Are you using Chrome? Tried it out again and it works in Firefox but glitches out in Chrome

blood snow and wolves by miziziziz 2018-12-23T18:51:00Z

Cool survival game. Managed to lose track of the cabin waaay too fast. Kept coming back across my kills though so I couldn't have been that far. Decided to run off into the snowfield for days on end and found nothing except that every 20 or so footprints stayed in the snow while the rest disappeared.

Sacrificial Idiots by Fred Aberg 2018-12-09T17:53:35Z

Music set a good mood. Never felt like any character related choices were "hard" decisions since they were just stat blocks. For a while I was really lucky and thought that the houses were never trapped, then one of them was. After that I started avoiding all houses and all my food would go away when that happened, which was unexpected. Is that intentional? Although food is the main resource limitation in the game it never felt like a real challenge. If I lost all my food to bandits or a house then it was always pretty easy to get more built up, possibly losing a person or two along the way. Definitely has potential. Good take on the theme.

A Heart of Light by Mr ChocolateSalmon 2018-12-16T19:28:17Z

Really cool mechanical setup. Great mood created with the simple sprites and shadow. Would love to play something more fleshed out using this mechanic. A simple goal, maybe with collecting an item and getting to a location would add a lot to the setup. Adding in some enemies that lurk in the dark would really add tension as well.

edit: just saw another comment about some worms, must have not explored as thoroughly as I thought.

Bloodgold: Sunken Treasure by BinarySpark 2018-12-16T18:06:34Z

Great execution on your idea. Took until the second level to notice that coins were also life, up to then was wondering what the benefit of having coins was besides being able to shoot them. Speaking of which, the damage and effect radius of the coin shot makes it very tempting to use frequently. Graphics, camera angle, and the exterior environment make for a really nice atmosphere. The blood splatter especially looks very nice, the light hits it well, assuming there's some really good normal maps on those.

Crystal Sacrifice by Tito 2018-12-16T19:10:48Z

Like other reviewers have said it was really hard to understand when I could shoot. Sometimes I'd hold z and shoot constantly while hopping and standing, other times I'd jump, move, stand still, tap z, hold z and still not shoot. Jumping feels very floaty, a little more effect of gravity countered by a stronger upwards force on the jump could address that if it's not what you're going for. Good basic platformer setup, just a matter of tuning the controls and movement will go a long way. Loved the FF7 theme to everything. If you build on this more then other classic platformer mechanics would be a great fit for Cait Sith: wall climbing and dashing for example. A knock back effect by shouting into the megaphone would also be very appropriate.

Dungeon of Sacrifice by kantieno 2018-12-09T19:13:33Z

Cool game and take on the theme.

Consilium - A history of life and choices by Gaming Night 2018-12-23T17:48:12Z

Wonderful mood with the sound, drawings, and music. First time it loaded I actually had some kind of bug where the one tile you start with would not develop no matter how much I watered it. On a later play I also ran into a bug where the sunlight icon never showed up even though sunlight as a resource worked fine.

Sheepy by FROG5TAR 2018-12-07T03:51:04Z

Cool take on the theme. Definitely lots of smallish things that could make it more natural to play, but the core of it is solid. The main issue gameplay-wise for me was moving my mouse to where I wanted to drop a sheep. They always went where I expected, since you put down a shadow for them, but the distance limit wasn't clear and trying to place them too close would clip the sheep down through the floor. Another reviewer mentioned the size/shape of the sheep compared to the holes, I fell in a couple times when the hole was plugged. Being able to push sheep around a little was helpful since using the mouse I could only move one at a time. Adding another mechanism to move sheep as a group would be useful as a player as well: calling them to the shepard or pinging a location to send sheep to would feel more like the sheep are a herd and less like individuals. Regardless of ways that it could be easier to herd them it was still fun to spawn way too many of them and move them around into little piles. I was able to launch myself into the air at one point by standing close to a pile and moving a bottom sheep out from it.

Unicorn Rescue by devharts 2018-12-09T19:35:15Z

Definitely very cute! Glad to see someone else using Godot too!

Two Minutes 'Til Tribute by Furtive Pygmy 2018-12-07T04:02:07Z

The enemie's shots could use more contrast with the background, it was easy to not noticed them against some of the darker areas. Cool game overall.

Devil figurine by Vlad Dae 2018-12-09T19:28:10Z

Really good take on the theme and RTS system. Had to retry the second level quite a few times to get it just right, had to remember the theme. Being able to choose targets or disengage from combat would be nice.

Path to Redemption by Petter 2018-12-23T18:57:53Z

Great mood and concept. The look and movement speeds made it hard to parkour effectively for me. It was hard to tell when I'd run off an edge or not.

Praise The Snek by Preside 2018-12-16T19:02:53Z

Very difficult to play both sides as one player, but lots of fun. Definitely would benefit from some sound effects, especially when hazards are starting to appear.

LD44 — Your life is currency

Oscilloscope by Shard 2019-04-29T17:44:32Z

Really great game. Well executed, plays very smoothly. Would be nice to be able to reset the play field without resetting the parameters.

Body + Soul by SleepyStudios 2019-05-12T15:20:47Z

Cool set up to manage the two life bar resources. Would have been handy to have some way to direct the soul, even temporarily. Like if the soul goes to you when you enlarge, making it easier to protect or guide.

Bioenfluencer by caevv 2019-05-12T15:41:37Z

That was cool. Had a hard time just figuring out how the studio portion worked. Didn't really see the list of creatures on the side and kept trying to build new ones and take them there, but didn't see them. Suddenly I had a few ready to go. Think I lost at one point and after restarting the purchased parts were still purchased. Some differing costs for the parts would be good. Once getting one good creature sold it was no problem to buy all the parts and get into an easy follower cycle.

LD46 — Keep it alive

OwOrbit by AudreyC 2020-04-21T00:58:54Z

This is really cute! Got a high score of 249

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

TBFTWorLD41 by joemid 2018-04-29T18:07:52Z

Not sure what was going on or what to interact with. The voice over kept restarting the same couple of phrases.

Bath Crasher by dwemthy 2018-04-23T20:53:25Z

@BitJester-Media & @aaron-nemoyten What browser are you using?

Bath Crasher by dwemthy 2018-04-23T21:19:05Z

Thanks @BitJester-Media and @Aaron-Nemoyten for the feedback. Looks like Firefox might be the best option. I'll have to test the windows build again myself.

Funk Escape by Rolle 2018-04-23T20:22:47Z

Wish I had better rhythm so I could see more of the game. Hard to focus on steering the ship and playing the song. Got hard very fast, not a lot of opportunity to get used to the controls before the notes get fast

Jeff From Accounting by Almax 2018-04-25T20:22:15Z

Great visuals, good sounds, the environment was really cool too. Had a hard time avoiding enemies and reloading effectively at the same time, would have liked to be able to read names from further away and not have to wait for a letter to visually changeover from white to red before the next shot can register.

Turned by Jordi Kreleger 2018-04-26T15:25:41Z

Don't see a way to play your game, did you forget to include links?

Help Wanted by Snowdrama 2018-04-29T18:45:02Z

That was a lot of fun. Failed hard the first time because the recipe list didn't display when not in full screen mode on WebGL, started the first wave with nothing built. Did much better the next try.

-Limits- By: Sharks by Sharks 2018-04-25T21:43:26Z

Also went out into the water in search of the mystery thing, fell off the world. At least I had arms to keep me company in the void!

Paddle Pals by Mors 2018-04-24T20:24:57Z

Really great audio and visuals, solid gameplay too.

StealthBall by ExiA 2018-04-25T20:48:02Z

Really cool idea and fun to play. Couldn't tell if the timing of hitting the ball had impact over where it went/how far.

Silence of the Chickens by Tayfun 2018-04-23T20:28:44Z

The camera movement was kind of weird. Aiming was really hard. Got stuck under a tree. I think an enemy hit me once but it was hard to tell. Cool idea

Heaven and Earth by Guy Withivy 2018-04-25T20:16:41Z

Nice art style, relaxing game play. Kept forgetting to aim the hearts at sad people and just grabbed them independent of where the character was positioned.

Black-Crops: Tactical Farming by JaredEvans_Neumont 2018-04-26T04:02:19Z

Good idea and well executed, the green and red portions of the icons that show the area of effect for the tools wasn't immediately clear, but once I understood it was very cool.

Mecha Dress Up by Yuri Simoes Arce 2018-04-23T20:15:36Z

Great stuff! Really silly concept and well executed

The Magic Shotgun Coloring Book by BenPeterson 2018-04-26T03:37:51Z

This is great. At one point the gun ran out completely, wasn't sure if that was supposed to happen but it just stopped firing.

Monster Stew by Aaron Nemoyten 2018-04-29T18:30:44Z

Fun idea, great sounds and enemy names. The whole thing is pretty dark and strained my eyes to play very long.

Monster Stew by Aaron Nemoyten 2018-04-30T15:34:00Z

@Aaron-Nemoyten Had lights on when I played, might have been some glare. A little more contrast between the walkway and the void below would have made a huge difference. The atmosphere created by the darkness was good in general though.

Tempo Step by AdVd 2018-04-26T19:29:48Z

Fun game, replayed a couple levels to get perfect on all of them. What are the two genres?
