Nice mechanic!! I like how the game builds up slowly in difficulty till you are able to solve levels that would have felt overwhelming when you first started.

Nice mechanic!! I like how the game builds up slowly in difficulty till you are able to solve levels that would have felt overwhelming when you first started.
Nice graphics and really interesting use of the theme. I did have issue with the right click since I was playing on my Mac laptop (something to keep in mind)
Awesome! I really like the graphics and music. A great puzzle game and I like how the coin gives an added challenge
Awesome!! Just like picking up my daughters toys at home every day ;) (Noticed how the URL is the days of the week)
⛔404 ⛔
I really like the "quantum entangled" pieces made the game a lot more interesting and challenging. Great idea!!
Good game! You did an excellent job with the dialog. I can really feel for the main character's experience, and the sort of emptiness of the "party conversation" and people pointing out the social anxiety.
Awesome Title!! and Crazy Game. I saw the meter go down and thought I was about to kill the monster, but Nope. oh well, also took me a while to figure out what was going on with the hanging people. Game gets your heart racing, I hope I don't have nightmares related to this game. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
I really like the concept. But I think the random moves made it hard to control the left/right would just cancel it out and did feel like you had a much control. Would be nice to find a way where you still felt like you had enough control to move pieces where you wanted them.
 This is probably the most memorable game for me in the competition. I really like your take on the theme. The game can be really tough sometimes, I wonder if it would be a little more fun in a smaller space / smaller crowd count (maybe build up if the player continues). Again, really creative idea!
Great use of the theme! Old Windows 95, I almost expected to see the blue screen of death.
The endless struggle of disk storage space :smirk_cat:
I really like the graphic style and the game. It seems like you can get more money as the game progresses, by then you have a lot of holes to repair. I wish I could have one more repairs earlier. I got all 6 gems and though I had "beat" the game. I see from comments above that you can actually keep playing, I guess that could be made more clear. Great submission!!
I really like the switching to smaller screens as a form of increasing the difficulty level. Very original!!
The gameboy and iWatch are so small that apparently my reaction time is to slow to make it over the boxes in time but I can get most all the coins. :sob:
Love these more puzzle type of games. Graphics look really good. Great use of the Theme
Fun Game! but I found the web version hard on a mac as the key used to shoot also caused the window to lose focus
@tinamil I wonder if your monitor is at a higher frame-rate. I put in a bug fix to make the game a fixed 60fps. So hopefully that fixes the issue you were seeing.
@kamilko yup, only had the time to make a few levels, so the 3rd level is the Final Boss ;)
@tinamil thanks for pointing out the issue!!! Phaser 3 is new and I think they change the game config object format. I believe I'm sending the right format now, but not sure if it is respecting the value :frowning: I added a note to the description about monitor refresh rate too, just in case.
@ratstail91 Good Feedback, I will try to remember to to enable additional controls, I know people have different preferences. :smiley_cat:
@arcadonauts Glad someone appreciates my attempt at a pun
@diptoman I think others mentioned the jump. There are a couple factors that might be related to it not being "smooth", I'm not sure which is the issue:
I wrote the game to be retro style so it is actually only 256 x 220 pixels like the old "Mario Bros"/"Donkey Kong" (You can see this if you shrink the window size) This means the pixels are chunky and the jump will be a bit jagged.
I also made the jump variable, so it accelerates like in the the original "Super Mario Bros" for the first 8 frames that you press the button, this allows you to jump to different heights based on how long you press the button. I also allow right to left acceleration both on the ground and in the air to change trajectory, but like in the old "Super Mario Bros" this has less control in the air (about 1/4 of the horizontal acceleration). So its best to shift direction on the ground, not in the air.
Finally, the jump was originally higher, but I felt it made going up the stairs to easy (you could just jump to the top). So I reduced it to make the game a bit more challenging. I wanted you to have points in the game where the popcorn was getting dangerously close to you and you felt the pressure.
Feedback would be really helpful from anyone who didn't like the jump, would love to learn from this first Ludum Dare for the next one
Thanks for positing the video @koala-squad !! :koala:
Thank you all for your feedback. I see again and again the jump being mentioned, and I even posted above trying to understand the details of why the jump is bad. I see now that I misunderstood how variable jumping was done is Super Mario Bros. I knew it had a acceleration component when you held the jump button down and that is what I implemented. But it also has an initial impulse velocity. So my jump it less of a jump and more of a momentary anti-gravity. I will probably make a Post-Compo version that fixes this. But I think its stuck this way for now. :frowning2: Lesson learned for next time! Sorry my jump physics probably frustrated a lot of you.
Great graphics!! I like how each rule builds on the others, but I can see that I am not cut out to be a bagger :shopping_bags:
Art is really nice, and has a great mood. I like the simplistic story telling 🤗
Very creative!! and the artwork is really nice!! The itch.io window could be increased and I wonder if the dialog bubbles might be reversed (Easier to read).
Cool idea, took me a little time to figure out what was going on. But once I did it was pretty simple. Only feedback I would give is the removal of items happens at the same rate items are added, so once you fill up slots you no longer have a buffer. Also would be interesting if there were more constraints, like you are required to have one of each type of item or you incur damage.
Yup, I had a hard time figuring out how to clear the pieces. It might be good to make that rule more clear.
But other than that, neat concept, and nice planet textures.
Fun game, the Tetris level is probably my favorite.
Would be interesting if the Tetris pieces alternated control between the player and the computer.
Really good game. But really leaves me with a heavy heart. Making decisions with constraints you have no control over.
I really like your game! I really like trying to back things into a tight space like Tetris. Great use of the theme!
One feedback it would be nice if rotation was a key (I find the right click hard to execute on a Mac)
I'm seeing a bug with the red tile on the web version, where it is offset for some reason:
Screen Shot 2018-08-14 at 3.39.39 PM.png
ok @korso I was using the SPACE key to rotate on the Web version, not sure if that makes a difference in debugging
I really like the theme and the humor (I enjoyed the "flavor text"), fun puzzle concept for the theme "stuck in a loop".
My feedback would be it might be nice to have a speedup button as well as a pause button to give the player more tools to "debug" their "answer" to the puzzle.
Nice story! game had a really great feel, and enjoyed the chunky Pico8 graphics
I like the game concept of quarantining individual using the circle, but its really hard to get a circle around the character, either hit the end of the screen, or I hit their speech bubble. Is the "speech bubble" intended to be a collision?
Awesome!! I love the artwork and the music! (love the last note in the music loop) Very Cute! :hamster:
I was able to achieve full Hamster rotation! :smile_cat:
The visuals are really great! The monster chatter also makes it more immersive. But as far as game play, the user is only left with route choices, and since the choices obscure the map it feels like it's harder to make a "right" choice. I was probably supposed to pay more attention to the conversations. I think I got the "Bad Ending" the first time. After playing the game though a 2nd time I got the "Good Ending".
Really enjoyed your game, at first I was frustrated not knowing what the customer wanted, but then I realized its a deduction game of sorts, like "Mastermind". Then I not only enjoyed it but found it really engaging.
Great Game!!
Great Game! Love the chunky pixels, and the "story" really goes along with the them. Love the animated train. :train: . Title Screen music is supper catchy :smile_cat:
Nice simple game, the graphics are nice and the game has a simple mechanic.
I did struggle to catch cows though, The lasso would land on them, but didn't seem to catch them, got a little frustrating over time, not sure how the "collision detection" is handled. Only managed to catch a few cows, but near the end the lasso looked like I was hitting it every time, but without a catch.
Fun story game!! Like the GBStudio retro vibe. Very creative with all the interactions. I did a story adventure as well during the compo, so I know if takes a lot of time to make a story, even one that might feel short, so extra props to you for making such a detailed story. :grinning:
@david-hunter Yup, this is a weird game, I need to get some rest now
@aarimous Yes! I had to rewatch that "Silicon valley" clip when I was writing the dialog for that section of the game.
@chickencastle If the markdown had a way to hide spoilers, I would definitely add a strategy guide.
@timeloopedpowergamer Thanks for the comment, was nice to hear my game likened to a old Roberta Williams games :smile_cat:
@masaru Yes, the "{" does not have a use in this game, but is needed to complete the game.
Thanks @emily-pitcher & @louiejams I really enjoyed your game as well!
@fpoli yes the opening curly bracket is not used as an "action" in the game, but must be obtained for the ending
@lucas-helfman sorry to hear you had a bad experience
Thanks for playing @shelvid! It was great to watch your twitch broadcast. Helps me see the players challenges and understand how I can better improve in the future.
Thanks @nandelind for the feedback, I saw another player struggle with the "actions" cursor, if I have time I will try to fix some day.
Humorous game!! Definitely feels like a grind. A bit confusing the first time you play it. But once you know where the water cooler, you start to know your way around (though I'm not very good at it myself).
Cute Game, I like the "Loopiies", so Cute! I found it very hard to juggle all three of the controls (I'm probably not that good at these multi-taking game). Not sure how useful the Barrier is (maybe I'm not using an optimized strategy)
Wow really amazing and touching Game! The artwork is great and the story is really engaging
Even though its an "open" game, I guess I fell for clicking the "watch" right after the record player. I assume that is intended as its the most dramatic scene and the first photo piece, after that emotionally charged scene, I wasn't sure I could go on. But after watching the other scenes with that context it drove me to complete the game.
Great way to draw the viewer in, and the "choices" along the way really help you to feel for the protagonist in that situation.
Amazing Job!! :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:
Very fun game, took me a while to figure out the "solution", but it was really clever. The reason that it probably took so long is because you're almost "conditioned" to expect that the solution is just "force" or "timing" from other games in this setting, but this game us much more creative, and makes for a more engaging adventure.
Web version did not load for me (just wanted to let you know)
The following errors in the console: ``` Uncaught SyntaxError: Invalid or unexpected token WebGL.loader.js:1 Uncaught ReferenceError: unityFramework is not defined at HTMLScriptElement.r.onload (WebGL.loader.js:1) ```
I'm using Chrome on a Mac
@mactinite the forums seem to mention that you may need to disable compression when you build the project if you see that error: https://forum.unity.com/threads/uncaught-referenceerror-unityframework-is-not-defined-at-htmlscriptelement-script-onload-webgl.803967/
@mactinite glad I was able to help
Very good puzzle game, I like it, like sokoban with an added dimension of depth.
Great Game!!
I love the exploration aspect and the Metroidvania powerups. I also like that you don't lose all that you have collected when you die (I should have done that in my game)
I knew that wood was what I needed to collect to end the game, but I didn't know how much, so near the end when I was collecting the last piece I didn't know if it was my last or if I needed to go even "deeper". Might be nice to know how that you are "completed" so you can know when to return to the surface.
But I stuck it through and finished the game!! Great Entry!
Nice little game!
Minor feedback, I wonder if Highscore could be updated whenever your current depth is greater than your highscore, since its your new Highscore
Wow you did an amazing job on this game!! The graphics, audio, and atmosphere are awesome!!
I really like the idea of using the torch to see ahead, in fact I've seen many platformers so far with the theme "Deeper and deeper" they have the player jumping down and I really don't like the "Leap of faith". So tying the touch to the camera to allow the player to scout it out is perfect.
I noticed you use Phaser for your game (I did too). I will need to dig into your source to see how you did all this
Cool that you made a LDTK loader for Phaser :grinning:
Fun and Silly entry
Like the slap sound!
Sometimes the small hit boxes made it hard to slap a quick moving fish
Great Game I love the concept of the girls imagination
I agree that it was a little to easy at the beginning, but getting over the two rivers at the end was really hard for me (seems like there was a bug where I could not push rocks in certain ways, the dialog box also blocked my view) Took me forever to get across because of rock pushing bug.
But was really surprised by the Boss battle. I only had two hearts, was there a way to obtain more?
Nice Ending!!!! :smile_cat:
Interesting subject material
I was so close!! After making the big decision right or left, I was hanging in there going to the right trying to get ahead of the others. When I saw the egg I was so happy, my gamble payed off! But, sadly I think I came in third place...
... and in this "Game of Life" you don't get a metal for 3rd place
Game is really polished and easy to pick yup! Great Job!!
One challenge with this type of game is when the cursor leaves the window you no longer have control happened to me in the beginning and wasn't a big deal once I realized what was going on
Such a unique concept for a game! Awesome!!
Fun game, you really have to push that oxygen meter to get around.
One feedback, I think it would be nice to just collect the item instead of needing to press "E" to pick it up.
Graphics are so Cute!!
A really polished game for the time constraints!!
What is the difference between Burglar Bunny I & II both say "Keep +15%"
Also some other upgrades seem to have the wrong label
Thanks @hotpaw @panacea and @oeschmid !!
@owca 8/10 is really good!!! The last two are the most difficult they require you to go "Deeper and deeper"
Thanks @mduo13 !! I have a lot to learn about music composition (This was my first time trying). Used https://www.beepbox.co/ and was pressing boxes and was lucky to get a "watery" feeling out of it
Thanks for playing @greg-the-egg & @billnotic
Glad you both liked the voice acting and audio.
Billnotic, you are right about the rocks are an area I cut corners on :slight_frown: The sub is acceleration-based and meant to be a bit hard to maneuver.
Thanks @piratehearts @sbug @oadt @phoenix-fireflower and @fdk !!
@sbug 9/10 so close!! There are two unique fish that only appear once (hopefully that doesn't make it too challenging)
@oadt that is a great Idea to not reset the oxygen bar I wish I had made that change. You found the :shark: that is one of the "Unique Specimens"
@phoenix-fireflower they do look like flappy bird
@fdk I had thought about a mini-map but wasn't sure if that would be too much hand holding, it would need to me a map that charted as you explored because I would not want to detract from the exploration aspect.
@minibobbo I had thought about showing the "memento" for each unique species but thought it would use up too much view space, and I probably just got lazy. But, I agree, it would have been worth the extra effort.
Thanks for playing!!
Thanks @truechips @judgeclark!
@judgeclark I think you are the first to comment that you got 10/10 (only wish you could have surfaced)
Thanks @extar
If I make a post-compo version I will definitely add something that better tracks the fish you have acquired
Thanks @rngames
Yes, if I do a post-compo version I want have some way where the progress is not full lost, but I'm not sure the balance. I don't want the users to keep all their progress (o2 tanks and found fish), because then there is not incentive not to just go deep and die. I find the just making it to the surface in time an exciting feeling and my daughter cheers when I surface when the bar is red at the last moment.
What if the O2 tank capacity remains, but the fish found resets, is that still too aggressive?
Thanks @oysuta @nyanpierre @nurav
Good feedback @oysuta there are actually a lot of O2 tanks if you explore all the areas enough to get anywhere you want, but I'm probably asking to much of players to discover them all.
@nurav Yup adding to the inertia would help with control, I wanted their to be some challenge, but maybe it was too much
Thanks for playing @mactinite
Yup, the O2 only replenish a little they are meant to increase the capacity, so you still need to return to the surface but you can stay under longer going forward. I like the dynamic of the exploration and the race back to the surface for air. I hope to make adjustments to the game in a post-compo version that finds a better balance, but still holds to the core gameplay.
Thanks @lymze @der-finski @jonas-michael !!
So glad to hear you were able to complete it @lymze & @jonas-michael !!!
@der-finski Yes, if I make a post-compo version I will probably better allow for continuation
Thanks everyone for your feedback!! I have learned a lot from you all. I just pushed up a Post-Compo version of the game:
https://carystanley.itch.io/the-life-aquatic-post-compo
Changes Include: * Changed the acceleration and drag on the Submarine @nurav * Oxygen usage rate adjusted @mactinite @rngames @oysuta @piratehearts * Change Fish occurrences @sbug @owca * Fish tracking @extar @minibobbo * Surfacing now acts as a checkpoint @der-finski @rngames @oadt
I think the changes are a huge improvement and hopefully make the game a lot more fun!
Thanks @fenderbate
It's true, determining how fast you are moving in this game is not very clear, especially when you don't have the rock texture in view.
Thanks @fawnblue , the camera pan in the direction you are traveling is a good suggesting I will keep in mind for future games.
This game was meant to be a bit silly, it doesn't have a "health bar", and crashing doesn't have a lot of penalty, except slowing you down. My intent was for the player to kinda "bash" around, as they explore or rush to the surface for air.
My daughter really found it fun crashing around :)
Thanks @sheepolution !!
8:06 is a great score for exploring the map for the first time!!
As the developer I can't "unlearn" the map I created and play like a someone freshly exploring the map, so it makes me question how balanced it is
Thanks @u-tsang-clan !!
Yes, this would be a good candidate for procedural generation. That would definitely increase the replayabilty. :grinning:
@$162477 Thanks!!
Thanks for playing, and the kind works about the game
I like the idea of the fish being more responsive to you, I think that would be a great step towards increasing the immersion, and could also potentially increase the challenge if certain fish where faster / more evasive.
Thanks for playing @game-endeavor !
Interesting that you found that to be the case, most "caves" in the deep if pursued deep enough yield a O2 tank, so I'm surprised that you had that experience. Did you explore deep enough or did you remain at the surface? Did you know you could resurface to refill your O2 tank?
Really Cool!! Great graphics!
I have a lot to learn about fishing ;)
I made a game that also used a submarine, I too had a low-oxygen meter, but I really like how in your game low oxygen causes the screen to go black.
Really fun and funny game!
I like the mix of punch-out and a dating sim, two genres that you would think to be incompatible. But when you think about it punch-out is really, the a "dating sim" sped up, where a "well-timed" correct response does damage to the opponent (gets you points).
The graphics are great, they look like the original Punch-out game (How did you draft all those poses in the time you did?)
Not sure if there are multiple endings, but I think we are going to the movies together tomorrow. Did I win?
Good Game! Great Artwork and Music
The game mechanics are really simple, which makes you really want to master it.
Game is fun but also drives me a little crazy, the spring boards I end up hitting often send me all the way back to the top :disappointed: but I continue on trying to make it down
At least I got farther then the video you posted above
Nice Game!!
I like the graphics, it would be better if it had music.
Its a good match for the theme!
There were times I could not pick up the minerals that I had freed with my bombs. It also was not clear what was gained by mining the minerals.
Hilarious Game!! Really love the experience
One piece of feedback, The arrow indicators are a little harder to read since they are sorta "blobby", maybe that is supposed to be part of the challenge.
Cute Game!! Graphics style is really fun, and the game is easy to understand.
The only feedback I has was that the air bubbles seem to slow you down when you hit them, I wish that wasn't the case for the air bubbles
Nice Exploration Game!!
At first it seemed really peaceful, wasn't sure if the game had an objective, then I felt blocked and almost gave up. But found out the game is a Metroidvania of sorts. I won!
I could see the concept expanded to have many more powerups and places to go.
Really Cool :fish:
Incredibly Beautiful and Deep Game!!
The story is really engaging and the dialog and choices are well written, and the graphics are beautiful!!
Great Entry!!
I did come across a few issues:
* My first time playing I think I did not finish the interaction with the seat, and went to the next car and then I could not interact with anything in the 2nd car, nor go back to the first car, I had to restart the game and start over.
* The last mini-game with the 3 bowls had small unclear hitboxes to I must have dragged the bowls over 20 times to finally "solve" the puzzle
Great Game!
I also did a submarine theme for my game and I really like the "sonar" effect to indicate the direction, I wish I had thought of something like that.
I love all the little locations you created, such a fun idea!!
I didn't not realize the game ends in 5mins the first time I played, one feedback would have been to have the timer count down instead of up
Very cute puzzle game!! Love the graphics and the simplicity
Very Sokoban-esque
(Very minor bug I noticed, the music glitches out when the game looses focus)
Really Creative!!
I really like the digging addition to the platforming dynamic!
Died a bunch, but completed the game in ** 167.79 **
Looking forward to "Zoe and the Cursed Dreamer"
Love the Graphics and Sound and the Wall Jumping feels really great!! Amazing how beautiful a game you made in the limited time.
Took me a while on the last level because I could not identify the floor. Also, there may be a minor bug where the walking sound continues on the "Fin" screen for me
I got a time of ** 449.51 ** on first attempt
Artwork and Sound gives a very chill mood.
Felt very relaxing at the beginning and then difficulty began to ramp up, really engaging and enjoyable!
Nice!!
Fun Game!! I really like the tight chunky pixel action!!
The flame checkpoints were really helpful for me, a few segments got me stuck, but I'm glad I didn't have to start from the beginning.
At the beginning the game was really messing with me, I don't like platformers that go down, where you feel like you are taking a "leap of faith", but your game is fair, broadcasting within view what ends up being safe.
But I would say that the first time I saw the "pyramid" I thought it was a "powerup" or some ancient artifact. Turned out to be a spike and I died (That was a rude realization)
Cute little game, had finished it before I knew it
I really like the Mushroom theme so I had to play it (that should be the next LudumDare theme :mushroom: )
It does have my worst fear in a platformers (lots and lots of spikes, and the player jumps down), but some how I made it through without dying once (What Luck)
Fun Game!! Got all the upgrades, I am Unstoppable!!!
Screen Shot 2022-04-04 at 9.43.30 AM.png
Great Game!!
Really fits the theme is a good way
My only feedback is as the game progresses it seems to get laggy, and it seems like its harder to "dig" the rock. it would be nice if it removed more than one pixel at a time.
Really Fun! Great Job!
Really fun game!!
The graphics are really cute! Has a really nice retro feel with the graphics and sounds and the game being on one screen.
So cool that you also made it 2 Players!!
Really cute graphics and fun / humorous game!!
Great job!!
I think I had a little frustration at the beginning with the jump height, and that I could not stand on floating boxes
Nice Artwork!
I think I found all the non-combining delays, and I found one of the combining delays (not sure if there are any more), but I might have found more combining delays without realizing it.
In your description you say "created from scratch for the jam (yes, even the song ;)" I didn't hear a song when I played the WebGL version
Nice Game!! You did a great job with the music, and I was engaged trying to complete it (I actually played it all the way through). The wind at the end was unexpected.
Very glad the game had checkpoints ;)
One minor feedback: I played the game a few times from the start and no way to skip the game start dialog the 2nd/3rd time
Really cute game
I really love the art and the feel of the game.
One issue I had was that I was playing on a Mac, so I did not have a right mouse button, so I was unable to build :disappointed:
The graphics are really nice with the City and the "Karen"
Fun Puzzle game, I had issues setting the barriers and settings the groceries & cat food point (I was on a Mac so I didn't have the "left click", so that may have been it).
Once, I understood the groceries & cat food points it was pretty easy, not hard to get 3 stars. But I see others were able to get really high scores, so they definitely figured out some interesting way to deter the Karen.
I would agree with others that there is a lot of waiting in the game
Really Great Game!! Graphics and Music fit really well.
I love how it connects with the theme and has a natural difficulty progression as each day passes.
Reminds me of that story about the chasing wild bear: "I don't need to outrun the bear, just outrun you"
:runner:
Really Neat Game!! I like the various powers
I noticed a couple bugs: * The first time I played when I got the fire, but it didn't pick up for some reason so I was trapped unable to proceed, had to reset the game (maybe because I used the switch powers keys before picking ii up). * The 2nd time I played, I actually jumped through some walls near the end of the game (Made it really easy to get to the flower, probably skipped a good portion of the game)
@f1krazy so i played it again to see if I could figure out the issue. I think the issue with the powers was that I used the change key before I picked it up. I think because the power slots exist before the powers are acquired you don't realize you have it. Also, since the powers selection does not cycle, if you keep hitting the same button it wont update making you think you don't have the power.
Might be better if:
1. Don't have a slot till you have acquired the power 2. Cycle the powers list when you hit the end or the beginning
Cool Game! the confusion was probably just me
Great Game!! Really love the graphics and the humorous robot that you interact with.
If the fate of the future world rested on my recycling ability in this game then we are in trouble. I was able to unlock all upgrades, except the Guitar, but was so close.
Played a second time to get the Guitar. Hoping it might save the world through some crazy coincidence like something related to Bill and Ted. (It did not seem to save the world)
Oh well, fit the Inevitable theme :grinning:
Wow this is such a fun experience!! :grinning:
What a great idea!
Very minor feedback: Would be nice if the Brush size was visible on your cursor, so you could better know how much of an area it would paint on the canvas
Really like the Cute Pixel art!!
The Ghost / Changing Bodies is a really neat mechanic
Had fun playing the game and made it all the way to the End
I think I had a few issues with the controls either when I was a ghost or a deer. But it wasn't a big deal to restart the level.
Great Game!!!
@sergiopoverony Wow! you are the Mosquito Goddess! Amazing!! Here is your Trophy :trophy:
@mgear Thanks!
@bangthewall My "Play Testers" were my Wife and my 6 year old daughter, they thought it was too challenging, so I capped how hard it can get. In retrospect that was probably a bad idea. If only I could change those 3 thresholds numbers :face_palm:
@jk5000 Thanks!
@sergiopoverony Its like you found the "Safe Zone" in Pacman (I didn't see a picture attached)
@paroxysmal Thanks, yup adding the ability to "kill" the people would definitely add to the game mechanic
@elede thank!
@simplepotential Yes, I capped the difficulty, and regret doing that :disappointed:
@payaosito Haha, I love "those huge heads pack a lot of tasty blood", so true!
Thanks all for playing!!!
@frostbiiten thanks!
@raphiell Thanks! Yes, the controls are acceleration based, and meant to be floaty
@colineobordello thanks!
@f1krazy Thanks! Haha yes, by daughter thought the same thing, when I told her it was bud spray, she would laugh and laugh "why are they drinking bug spray!!"
Thanks @gamedevtraum I enjoyed the cute character in your game as well
@candlesan Thanks!!
@orcifried Thanks! Yes, the Campers AI is one of the highlights / learnings of Jam game for me
@senso Thanks! Yes, I'm not much of a gamer myself
@cslupius Thanks! Music & Audio are not my strong areas, but learning a little more each game
@claytonrumley laying eggs is a really clever idea, if I was to expand the game, past the theme to give a larger goal that would be a great addition
@sinus I agree more guys may make it easier with the spray themselves dynamic, originally I didn’t cap the campers in development, You can only imagine the craziness that happened when you has 100+ campers on the screen. 🤪
@oleg-bone @jackaljk If I recall I had adjusted volume for the music, but not the sfx 😞
@glaikunt thanks
@diego-escalante thanks
@mrbrainfed Awesome!! Thats a nice “healthy” 🦟 lifespan 😁
@charq Wow thank you for playing my game on your twitch stream, it’s so delightful to get to see someone’s experience of my game 😁
Thanks @oadt there are little particles from the spray can that damage you if you collide with them. But I could have tinted the mosquito or something to make it more clear you are taking damage
Wow!! @jupiter-hadley Thank you so much for playing my game!!
One of the highlights of this Ludum Dare for me!!!
Really Fun game! Love the graphics! made it all the way to the "top"
Screen Shot 2022-04-04 at 10.49.17 AM.png
I didn't realize the "guy" limit at first, but after understanding it was able to continue to upgrade
Love the "Laputa" like theme!
Wow!! Pinball really fits the Theme!!
I'm not a big fan of pinball, but I love the graphics and personality in your game!
Awesome job!!
Fun Game! Great fit for the theme!!
I like the combination of "fighting" moves and "dialogue" response :smile_cat:
The graphics are also really awesome and the music really fits the game
Fun, very relatable take on the theme
Exactly how it feels in the morning  (Except add noise kids, maybe thats later in the game)
Very funny, lots of Puke cleanup, but cute cats :smile_cat:
Minor feedback:
So I didn't realize at first that the puke is decomposing, and that there is a penalty for that. Also the decomposing darkness can be hard to tell which puke is more urgent to clean up.
Once I reloaded it a few times it eventually worked for me.
Good game, and Cute graphics
I have to say it was a bit punishing for me. I would get the key of a floor and then be so happy that the door opened, rush over and fall in a hole.
I had to play over and over again about 15 times. I was about to rage quit, but I stuck with it.
The ending made me sad :sob: but was also a funny humorous touch.
I was on a Mac and there isn't really a right/left click (I was only able to dash), so I was unable to really play the game. Sounds interesting though.
I really like the idea and the graphics are great!
Awesome Job!
I did have a few usability challenges with the game. Click would not register some times. Also the tutorial had really small text / display compared to the game, could be scaled up.
Hilarious take on the Theme!! Most creative I've seen so far
I  it!
Took me 3 attempts (and not sure I could find it again), but "I did it" I peed in a toilet!!
What an awesome idea for the theme! Spaming space to hold your pee is a hilarious mechanic
How did you make a game related to my most common nightmare!!?
Such a fun way to play Tetris  Music is really catchy and great fit for the theme!
Fun Game! The Music really fits the game.
It's a Sokoban like game, but I like that each level has its own style and story to it.
I got stuck on the 3rd day/level too with the Ice cream, not sure what happened, even when I reset the level. But when I reset the whole game and played it through again I was able to get the ending
Great Game!!
Very silly game, I love that "Sock loss" is inevitable
I do wonder if there could be some sort of timer or indication to the user about when the "craziness" will end. The first time I played I was beginning to wonder if there would be an end.
Fun game! really keeps you on your toes, harvesting, building and trying not to get burned.
One piece of feedback would be to put the controls on the Title Screen before you start playing. The first time I played I was so focused I didn't see the info on the side, and wouldn't have time to read it anyways with how fast things start.
Your game has really nice Graphics and Sounds!!
Fun use of the theme, I like the mello vibes of the music. Postprocessing is also very cool
It seems like the levels are procedurally generated (at least they are different each time I played) Cool!
I had a few issues: * first time I played the knockback stuck me in the wall and I had to reset * The digital alarm clocks were a bit confusing, seems like you have to disable all of them that are in the same room at the same time. (Not sure how that could be made more clear)
Really Fun game, I like the concept and your take on the theme.
The artwork for the Otaku and his Mom are super cute! the ending!
God Job!
Nice Job! The Graphics are really nice and scenic.
Music is very chill, even though I'm escaping a volcano
Sadly I was unable to save Nugget :crying_cat_face:
The Graphics are great and the the music is very catchy. Nice!!
(My game has a similar take on the theme)
A bit morbid but really creative use of the Theme
Your artwork is amazing, and you created so many "Endings"
Really great game! Love the Graphics and the take on the Theme, really funny.
Reminds me of a game 10 Jams back:
https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/hyper-diapers
I was doing so good only one kid died of starvation (I think), but I didn't realize there was bleach in the backyard.
"3 toddlers dies today, I'm sure their Parents will be thrilled!" :grimacing:
Nice music. Interesting game! Main character seems a bit sinister.
I was a little confused at the beginning even though you had the tutorial. I think I died and then it was very hard to continue. When I reset I had more resources and then I didn't have a problem since I better understood the game.
I think the "magenta" planets are a bit hard, because the projectiles are very hard to see.
Nice job
