OMG!! I absolutely love this kind of games, and now that's a completely fresh concept! Too bad that there is no music, but I really enjoyed it.

OMG!! I absolutely love this kind of games, and now that's a completely fresh concept! Too bad that there is no music, but I really enjoyed it.
The ball seems to move faster if using a higher refresh rate monitor (144hz), so I had a lot of problems trying to control it to the goal. Managed through blue stage and then just gave up. The ball bounces a bit too randomly off tiny drawings, which are required to finish the game. Clever use of the theme, though. Death audio effect was way too loud, so I just had to mute the game unfortunately :( +1 for adding mute button too
Really interesting concept :) I would love to see a button that takes you just 1 level back but I guess It would be too easy. Good Job!
Interesting concept! The graphics are also quite nice. The gameplay, depending on one's perspective, can be seen as either very challenging, or very frustrating. The way the compo's theme is used in the game is just devilish - you WILL need to restart the game a few times before you'll be able to get all of it right.
Haha, i love it :D The drawing concept is awesome (although i didn't finnish the level xD). Hammster bugs very often and it would be great if kill command would spawn him from the sky and not inside aleady drawn level.
Really fun idea. I clearly stink at it, and appreciate the effort to make a game like this work. awesome!
Wow the ability to make platforms just by drawing is so cool. It's really easy to run out of space! I tried a couple of times but couldn't get past the blue level...
I really like the concept a lot! Nice use of the theme having the lines you draw persist between levels. It also makes the game extremely difficult especially combined with the way St.Roll bounces around. It's really hard to control! But even so it made the game really funny bouncing around in unexpected directions! Well done!
I like the concept and it's an original way to interpret the theme. I greatly appreciate the background. Not an easy game but really fun
I think I murdered him.
I really like the concept that each mark builds on the part. But its also hard because you can't predict how a line will affect the future (but I guess that is the point). I do wshh I felt like I had more control of the "hamster" ball
This is a pretty incredible premise, however, not having knowledge of what levels are to come can lead to a real trial and error type of game play that I personally found a little frustrating. Maybe being able to flip back and forth through levels and editing your earlier drawings could help that? But that is probably outside the scope of a 48 hour game jam :P. Overall this is an excellent submission, good job!
Super spazzy! It was enjoyable just watching the little guy jump around. Alas, I ended up getting stuck on the blue level because of said spazziness. I did find it a bit frustrating that making a mistake could cause one to have to go back and replay all the levels leading up to that point, just because you can't always predict what's a mistake and what's not.
A fresh concept and nice interpretation of the theme. I think the graphics could use some improvement in order to lead to a better game experience but the mechanics are well implemented. Good job!
A really good idea ! I only succeed to go to the fourth level x) But the theme is respect ! I really like the background *-* Sometimes the character bug and disapear to appear in other place, but great job ! In compo additionnally !
nice gameplay a little bit hard to control but i guess it part of the fun too :)
Great game! i really liked that what you do overlaps during levels, it becomes a sort of platform puzzle  the only problem is that the sounds get a little bit annoying over time.
I did it! It seems to be that kind of game people would play at work :P I really like it, and it fits the theme really well
So nice concept and fun game!
Hard casual game, my favorites. I like how you implemented the theme with limited space and overall game, it have its own unique feel, but I think you could improve the game by much if you.
-Give to player more control. It’s hard, and sometimes I would say random to make the character doing what you want from him (which on his own would not be a big problem), but the player also don’t know from the start how next level will look like so he have to guess 1)what character will do 2) how level will look like. If you rebalance any of this 2 problems, the game will be more intuitive. -Some good song. I know, I have this sin too bc we don’t have enough time for this, but good audio can alone boost any kind of game.
-I feel like main charcter, background and the lines are from 3 different styles. You can easely chose 1 and go for it, any of this will suit you game.
Overall, I enjoyed you game and hope that my feedback will be utile for you and don’t sound like a harsh unargumented criticism, lol.
Interesting concept!Cool game:)
realy nice idea. I think it would have been nice to have a bit more controll over st. Roll because it was quite frustrating to get him behave the way I wanted. but the use of the theme was just fantastic. nice work :-D
Thanks everyone for playing, and your kind words.
@hegemege That's a great point about the higher refresh monitors. And I agree that the death audio is too loud. I plan to tweak collisions a bit after LD. It does bounce off the end of lines incorrectly.
@suve The game is definitely leaning more on the frustrating side, due to the controls, I think. I plan on making the restart button bigger to highlight that it's a key component of the game.
@akaneiro spawning from the sky would get in the way of future levels :) He spawns where the last exist was.
@alex-adedge It's ok. Saints go to heaven.
@suchista I'm shook. You may be the first stranger to beat the game. That makes me really happy! Sorry the end screen is so unsatisfying, I plan on adding counters later on. Thanks for playing it through!!! You did it!! St. Roll loves you.
@dumivid Yes, the controls do need to be looked into and I definitely plan on adding in a nice soundtrack after LD. It's also true that the art style for the hamster, lines, and bg are completely different (bg was painted w PS, lines were programmed in, and the hamster was from paint MS). Sometimes I'm looking at it, I can't help but think a white bg would have fit the lines and hamster better :) I hope to make it more cohesive later on. Thanks so much for the constructive criticism!
Fun and interesting concept. Background looks really nice, but I think that the lines should be in the similar style. Will you continue working on the game because I think it has a lot of potential?
Wow, very interesting mechanics! On its basis, you can come up with many different features. St. Roll, background and UI looks nice. In some moments I had a feeling of frustration because of the complexity of the level. But maybe it's not bad. Overall intresting and nice game!
Very innovative concept! great graphics and sfx, it would have been good some music, but overall a very good game! Keep it up!
Cool concept. A little too hard for me but I appreciate the idea. You definitively have too think way ahead and would love some way to make corrections by rewinding, fixing and then moving on.
A bit hard maybe but it's fun!
I didn't read that left click is used to draw so I was stuck for almost 15 minutes but then I found out haha very interesting game loved it.
Please do check our game maybe you'll like it and leave us some feedback.
Really cool concept! With some more polish this could be a real gem. Right now it's still a bit too frustrating with how unpredictable the bounces are, which is understandable as I imagine working with drawn lines must be pretty tough. One of the most interesting uses of the theme I've seen so far.
Really great twist on a simple concept. It really caught me off guard when I first beat the first level
This was such fun to play! I loved the fact that the lines from previous levels carried over - it was a fun surprise, and it made the puzzle so much more challenging.
Coool! Nice game :thumbsup: +++++
