Hey @cambryx, thank you for your feedback on Solar Smash. I got here via your comment.
Good job on your awesome game! The art style works perfectly, and the interesting story and simple mechanics together make for a really fun and engaging experience. The increasing difficulty also makes the game nice and challenging, and creates some serious chaos! Playing this has taught me some valuable lessons that I'll be taking into the next Ludum Dare.
This is a cute experience, and a funny take on social media. Like a few of the comments mentioned though, I think it lacks interactivity. You could give the player a way to make an impact on the game world, like allowing them to leave a message of their own.
Some bugs I encountered: I was player 2 and my controls (particularly the L key to move right) got stuck every round, my player 1 also couldn't jump. Despite those, this little game was really fun to play!
While I like the simplicity of the game, I do think one more mechanic - something like blocking - would make for a bit more interesting game play.
All round good job though! I'm excited to see what you do with this in the future.
This is a gorgeous, well rounded game. I really like the lily pad 'mini map' at the top of the screen, and the ability to push the lily pads around was something fresh. I thought I just sucked at it, but I see other comments are also pointing out that it is a bit difficult.

Really enjoyed this! There were some frustrating moments where I hit R instead of Space, and teleported instead of planting a new checkpoint. But that's likely just me getting used to the controls.
I love the ability to place your own checkpoints, and the visuals and audio are slick.
Well done on such a great entry.
This is gorgeous, and really sucks you into the world really quickly (especially the dialogue). I got stuck at a point and couldn't progress, but this is definitely something I'd want to come back to.
Well done!
Hey! This is cool.
I found feeding Pete to be a bit inconsistent. I would run to it with some food and press E when I got there (I also tried clicking and just running over it with food on my head), but sometimes it wouldn't actually take the food.
I love the animations on the plants and bushes, and the music sets a really nice happy but also kind of urgent tone.
Well done!
This is so very lovely! Congratulations for making such a nice little world to fly around in. The art style is inspiring, and flying is always a nice way to move.
I struggled with the flying controls, and found myself getting lost quite a bit. Also, I know you put the controls in the description above, but I totally missed that and didn't know what to do with myself for a couple of minutes. A 'how to' screen, or instructions popping up in your awesome UI style would go a long way.
Super well done!
Phew! That got intense!
This is great. It's a beautifully designed level, and the henchlings are adorable. I like the simplicity. The system is easy to understand, and get a hang of. There's definitely scope to build onto this foundation, with levels becoming more complex and the player having to make more decisions about where henchlings go.
Well done!
Hey Harry! This is fantastic. Congratulations on putting together such a cohesive experience in such a short time.
Two small things for me: - Front loading the instructions was a bit frustrating. I enjoyed the narrator's 'voice', but there's a bunch to get through and I felt like I had missed bits when I was mid game. Hover overs could be a solution here. - Not being able to cancel my actions felt a bit punishing.
Again, well done!
This looks super lovely, and the music fits the game very well. I really struggled to get into a good rhythm, so had to restart quite often, which felt very slow.
But overall, a nice polished experience. Well done!
Well done on pulling off such a cohesive entry. The in game visuals, audio and itch page graphics really draw you in.
In enjoyed the gameplay, but found the pauses between rounds frustrating. I had a similar frustration with another 'Simon says' type entry called 'Save the Fish'. The story recollection and story telling scenes could be rolled together to create better flow.
The squishiness of the ball is great, and adds a lot of personality to the game. I would have loved to see platforms or obstacles with different behaviours, but that's definitely something you can explore post-jam. Well done on this!
Nice one, Ash! (It's Adoné, hello!)
I loved the movement on the character, and the diegetic UI is such a nice touch. I know you said you didn't make the music, but good job on picking it. It suits the gameplay well.
I struggled to get past the second level (lol, bad at this), but I'm keen to go back and give it another go.
I loved the colour palette, and the wonderfully squishy fish eyes. Something that I found a bit frustrating was the down time between rounds. The 'Fish Saved, Next Round x' screen felt like it could have been incorporated into the main game screen for better flow.
Other than that, well done on such a fun experience.
This icon stood out for me on itch.io. The water shader and the colour choices are really nice. In terms of gameplay, I found it to be quite punishing. The time often ran out before I had time to figure out the basics.
Well done though, I think it's a cool concept for a puzzle game.
Good job on this, team! The art style is incredible, and I'm amazed that you managed to put together such a good looking tutorial in tie.
Like most people said, I struggled with the PC controls. I also couldn't find a 'back' or 'exit' button while in the tutorial, so have to quickly click through to the end in order to get to the main menu.
Anyway, well done!
I really liked the audio in the game, and the concept is interesting!
I think the distribution of the ingredients on the track could use a bit of work, and the perspective - with customers zooming by on their sides - made me feel a bit sick (but that might just be me).
Overall, good job!
