This is so cool!! Neat idea and very well done!

pips 2020-04-21 03:53

This is the cleverest game I've seen so far! And really well made omg

rebecca-harrison 2020-04-21 03:58

Very cool and unique premise. Extremely smooth gameplay and a lot of fun. Great idea!

bauke-regnerus 2020-04-21 11:58

Lovely minimal visuals and a very unique concept. Great job!

tricky-fat-cat 2020-04-21 12:06

Amazing game! I adore such a simple, but really fun to play idea, and thanks for dvorak. Nice submission!

fables 2020-04-21 12:11

Great game! Really fun but very difficult once you get to 4 letters haha. Would love to see this game get taken further!

thaniel 2020-04-21 19:06

Awesome game, you should start rating other people's games so it's more visible.

skyeward 2020-04-21 19:13

Thanks for the awesome feedback so far everyone! Mac builds are also now available.

We're getting ready to start diving into the LD46 submissions for sure! Today has been a today to catch up on things that have been neglected during the rush of development. I intend to start playing entries this evening :)

gabrielh 2020-04-21 21:36

Really neat idea, both theme and gameplay wise! love it

noeloskar 2020-04-21 21:49

Awesome game!, just perfect!

kymakesgames 2020-04-21 23:06

One of my favorites from the Jam. The UI and transitions are super clean. The gameplay concept is really cool. I'm a decent typist and it was surprisingly challenging to track the letters I was supposed to type; it would take some practice. The sound effects are good. I loved the wrinkles in the gameplay -- catching the swag and the fan cams were fun and mixed things up a bit. The "tutorial" was just right. Great stuff.

adam-clayden 2020-04-21 23:55

Fantastic game, very unique and lots of fun. My only criticism would be to include a letter for each seat as it becomes quite hard to map the screen to my keyboard mentally. I love the extra gameplay though with the "gimme a" and the wave cam!

d1str4kt0r 2020-04-22 01:43

I love the concept behind this. Its a mind test. The transitions were amazing too, the audio panning fits perfectly (it won't go unnoticed). Congratulations. Hope to see more of you in future jams.

kookiedough 2020-04-22 01:45

this has all the potential to be an actual game. would not be surprised to see this on Jackbox or something haha

almighty-games 2020-04-22 01:49

I gotta say, the concept of this game is truly unique! Way to go on presenting something new to the table. (at least, as far as my limited game playing experience has ever gone) The animations and screen transitions are highest quality. The sound and stereo effects were all very well done. I wasn't able to play the game, but I can imagine someone who is up to the challenge having a lot of fun with this. I could imagine you getting a good score in this game jam. I wish you the best of luck.

keepinghimalive 2020-04-22 01:56

Brilliant game! Fantastic job!

elnu 2020-04-22 01:58

The polish on this is absolutely insane. Everything was perfect - the animation, font choice, color choice, scene transitions - everything. Even options for more obscure non-standard layouts! There might be some way to access the user's current keyboard layout through code though, but I'm not sure. I'm blown away with how original the game idea is. The only suggestion I have is that you should somehow label the members of the crowd with their corresponding letters of the keyboard, it gets extremely confusing with more than two people active. When seeing the colors, my first thought was - "RGB keyboard!" It would probably be difficult to pull off, but getting the colors to sync with an RGB backlit keyboard would be awesome. Great job. Please do something with this past Ludum Dare, the game deserves it! Regards, -Elnu

kaelxd 2020-04-22 03:35

the games is pretty good, nice and simple. I really like the art style of the game

hkspadez 2020-04-22 04:43

Fun little game! very well made and great art

mhykah 2020-04-22 07:16

Fun game! Would've liked audio feedback on great, perfect, etc.

grizzliusmaximus 2020-04-22 08:36

Absolute Spectacular game! Whoever came up with this is a Genius! I do think having the people labelled with letters would make it easier to know who is who. Loved every second of it. No game I've played is anywhere similar to this.

justcamh 2020-04-22 09:18

To be honest, I found this game pretty hard to play. I know which key is where, but it was hard to know what to press based exclusively off the person's position in the crowd. I wish that the people were labelled, so that I didn't need to constantly look down at my keyboard to determine whether I needed to press g or h. It all changed so quickly, I couldn't keep up. The graphics were great tho!

thornduck 2020-04-22 18:27

Original, well done and beautiful! Good job!

masterpose 2020-04-24 02:10

So original, at first when I saw the keyboard select screen I was like "Wut" When start playing was really satisfying, thanks to this game now i know that im pretty good in finding the position of my keys haha. Also this game gave me a Wii game vibe, good work!

abdurrahman-khallouf 2020-04-24 21:50

this is highly polished and a very well done game. I coudn't enjoy it as I should. I couldn't locate the buttons easily. I wish they wore a shirt with letters on it so I can tell what to press.

and when I do locate the button. the wave is switched to other buttons :(

I think many people have the same complain.

skyeward 2020-04-25 22:07

Thanks for the feedback everyone! Glad to hear so many people are enjoying the game.

Difficulty is absolutely the biggest point of criticism we get, and it's fair, our game is damn hard. We're continuing development of this game, and difficulty will be getting re-addressed in a major way. If anyone is interested in following along with future development, keep an eye on @nirufekriarnold on Twitter :D

sciman101 2020-04-28 16:25

Here I was thinking I was the only one who used the interpretation 'keep the wave alive'. In all seriousness though, great job! This game is crazy polished - you could put this up on steam as is and it'd be fine, IMO. All the little ways you add variation to game play, the visual and audio polish, it all works together so well. My _one_ suggestion would be, like other people have said, an option to label the crowd members with jerseys or something to show which letter they correspond to. Other than that though, genuinely blown away, great work!!

emperor-eagle 2020-04-29 04:39

Spectacular game! It feels and looks polished. The menu was a luxury as was the gameplay! It was enjoyable and the timing was relatively easy, just predicting when to go got me for while (I only got a few perfects). But that makes the game unique. The graphics were nice and the audio worked perfectly in sync with the wave itself. Speaking of the wave, it was incredibly innovative and fitted the theme superbly! You already know about the difficulty problems, perhaps adding options/difficulties for telling you what letters each spectator is, or using just one line of a keyboard. I liked the wave cam, the spam every key as a wave, and the give me an "insert letter here" was a great way to shake up the gameplay (and it was intuitive, the instruction was literally in the gameplay)! Overall, really well done and highly rated!

pee-thief 2020-04-29 04:45

this is really cool. very hard game, but brilliant design overall

garys 2020-04-29 11:38

As others have said, this is beautifully polished. You certainly score high for innovation here, it's a lovely idea and plays well... but wow, the difficulty! I think labelling the crowd with their corresponding letters would make a real difference to the gameplay, as it feels a little panicked when the active crowd members change and you have to try and work out which keys you need before the wave begins... you probably played this to death during development and have a feel for which is which, but I found that pretty hard going. You could have the labels removed either as a difficulty option, or possibly during one of the in-game wave changes.

By the way, I love the in-game wave changes! Breaking up the loop with the wave cam and the car park call is a really nice touch - and the point where the entire crowd becomes active and you just slide across the whole keyboard like a piano feels somehow celebratory. Very nice entry.

cheesepencil 2020-04-30 00:45

Great execution and good visual style. I suspect touch typers have a slightly easier time with it than hunt-and-peckers! Why is there no web version?

trigueiro 2020-04-30 21:55

Amazing idea and great execution. The only suggestion I would give would be to have the keys on the adepts or at least some help because I felt I lost more time looking for the right keys than actually trying to do the wave. The game would be great with the wave alone but the added "give me a (letter)" and the waver cam are great additions that really bring some freshness to the game play. I found the game to be a little too heavy in computer usage. Great Job! Definitely, one of the best entries IMO

fabula-rasa 2020-04-30 22:45

Wow, so simple and yet so complicated. I found myself wishing some of the audience people would wear reference t-shirts with letters on them, so it would be easier for me to establish who is who on the fly. Not even all of them, just some reference points would be nice.

The game felt very polished. I liked all the little touches, like somebody throwing tomatoes (?), snowballs (?) at the crowd  Graphics is simple but informative and pleasant to look at. The color choices are great.

And the concept is unique. At least the first such in my experience. Really well done!

alexrose 2020-05-02 01:02

This game was dope apart from me getting -200 points. RIP me. otherwise fantastic, great concept. I would've liked if the people had letters on them but otherwise cool.

fiwon123 2020-05-02 13:06

I liked this game and the simple mechanic of press the keys on keyboard ^_^.

This game caught my attention from the beginning with a simple and aweasome transition of the screens. For me try to understand how I'll press the key give me more fun then I expected, because during the gameplay the games show me some simple features like to press a specific key, to press the key of the focus man or how to press the key in this order AHHHH (It's become difficulty with 4 or 5 persons haha).

In overall I liked all the features, thanks for bring this game to the jam :). Good Job.

puppetmaster 2020-05-06 17:58

Trying out the game was a lot of fun, especially the little jokes and side exercises were funny and entertaining. Great game, keep it up!

This game was great!! Love to grunt!

add-an-a 2020-05-09 16:49

This is so well scoped, and really well polished. The animation and sound on the menus are great. It was also really fun to play, and I appreciated the 'gimme a [whatever letter]' sections to help me get my brain in line with the keyboard.

Well done on this!

Very innovative game. A bit too hard for me though, and maybe a tiny bit too long. Looks amazing though, great level of polish throughout.

I love educational games. It's a great way to learn in a fun way. It is important for me to constantly develop my horizons and vocabulary, I often have to write essays and other written works, so reading books and developing games is an excellent solution for me. Not so long ago I finished my dissertation, this service: https://www.dissertation-service.org/ helped me a lot in this matter, the help of professionals is another great way to expand my horizons and learn something new, which can be useful to you at work and in life in general. It's also a great way to save time, especially when the job needs to be done quickly.
