LD46 — Keep it alive

3-Eyes by Rialgar 2020-04-30T01:38:53Z

Challenging but fun game! I played a few rounds with a controller. The way you displayed health was clever. Minor polish like the kickback on the arrow was appreciated and made a big difference in the game feel. Liked the art style and colour choice, it made things easy to see. The sound and particle feedback made defeating enemies feel satisfying. I found the game hard but that's probably just me not being good at the game. Great job!

WAVER by Skyeward 2020-04-22T07:16:03Z

Fun game! Would've liked audio feedback on great, perfect, etc.

Super B saves The City by seano 2020-04-20T02:34:22Z

That was fun, I made it to the end!

I love the art, music and sound design. The unique isometric view is cool as well! Great job!

Displacement by ryannielson 2020-04-21T04:27:14Z

This was an amazing game, I thoroughly had a lot of fun! The game was very well tutorialised and the puzzles were well designed! Although the push/pull mechanics were unique, they were very intuitive. Although I didn't use it, giving an option for unlimited moves was a nice touch too. The music was great and the sound effects were satisfying. One thing is that I was always confused about which button was push and which was pull so I often wasted moves pressing the wrong button. It might be nice to have some sort of reminder somewhere. An undo button would also be greatly appreciated! It's too bad that I didn't get to finish the game because I was stuck on some levels (in a good way!) but I'll be back to challenge it again. Amazing job!

WAVE by japes 2020-04-30T02:10:03Z

Clever take on the theme!

Ninja and Mouse by TrampolineTales 2020-04-20T04:36:28Z

Fun and addictive game! Comboing was very satisfying. Wish I could unlock the curse but I'm not very good, I could only get to about x60 after several tries.

Music might've been nice!

I'll come back to try again!

Aqua Vitae by zimennik 2020-04-23T07:04:24Z

A unique experience! It was a cool idea and I don't think I've played anything like it. I know that it wasn't original material but choosing to include the radio really contributed to the game's mood. Good job!

DJ Data Bender by binroot 2020-04-21T03:20:16Z

Interesting and innovative gameplay! It took me a while to understand what was going on but once I did it was fun looking at combos I could do by playing multiple patterns at once. I don't think I've seen anything like this before. It was satisfying watching the meter go up, especially when using items! One small thing is that the sounds were a bit distracting, to be honest I took off my headphones and listened to the sounds from a bit more distance. Good job!

Harvest Saga by kamekai 2020-04-23T09:15:22Z

That was a fun game! I enjoyed the simple gameplay loop. The art was nice and so was the wiggling animation on the UI, it really set the mood of the game! The music was good too, the acoustic guitar was a good choice though I wish the loop was longer and more varied (Not that it's easy with such a short time!). At first I thought that it was hard to see which crops were fully grown and which tiles were tilled/watered but that might just be me. Good job!

The Cat's Journey by magnusfurcifer 2020-04-20T11:26:05Z

Interesting mechanic! I found it really challenging. Liked the fun art style and the music. Good job!

Unnamed Space Game by Justin_C 2020-04-24T00:48:53Z

I only managed to get to the level after the tutorial, but what I played was interesting! I liked the unique capture and explode mechanic and wished that it was easier or made a bigger impact because I thought that it was really clever. In some of the tutorial levels I had to keep moving until I found the enemy ship, it felt slow because there wasn't any indication of where they were and the space (heh) was really big. The regular shooting and combat felt quite slow because I ended up just circling around the enemies and waiting until they died, it takes a while because their shield and hull seem to be really high. At the end of each level I also found myself just waiting for the shield to regenerate before going to the next, so a lot of the game was just waiting until the short-lived and more cooler capture and explode parts. Was a bit confused about why the enemies looked the same as me. I hope to see this project continue post-jam because I think you've got something with that capture and explode mechanic! Good job!

Keep Defender by mango-malarkey 2020-04-23T10:32:21Z

I could only get up to day 8, but what I played was fun! Shooting enemies from far away felt really skilful and satisfying. I liked the simple graphics and colours, it made the enemies stand out and easy to spot. Hope that this project continues post-jam because I'd love to challenge it again after more polish! Good job!

Tell a Fairy Tale by Zesix 2020-04-21T03:11:27Z

Interesting game mechanic! At first it was hard to understand the goal and the difference between the children and the staff but once I did, it felt like a unique twist on the stealth game genre with a very different skin! I enjoyed the sound and the music, I'm even listening to the background music now as I type this comment. Small critiques is that the rooms felt like they were designed similarly so it was hard for me to know where I was and where I needed to go at times. The text was very thematic but a little hard to read. But with a few small changes I could see this being a very interesting game. Great job!

Queen's Rose Garden by candlesan 2020-04-30T01:28:40Z

That was a fun and relaxing game! I played until the end. The audio feedback made watering plants feel satisfying and the music helped to give that relaxing mood. I hope to see more of this game post-jam! I found the gameplay to be intuitive, and the difficulty curve between levels was well designed. Adding harder patterns in later levels was clever. Great job!

Dragon Eggs: Greatest Hits Edition by Shaolin Dave 2020-04-23T08:18:48Z

That was an interesting game! It's impressive that you put this together in such a short time, especially the AI. The gameplay was fun and the mix of luck and strategy felt very much like backgammon. During the game I found myself wishing that that the movement and the dice rolling would be a lot faster, it felt like a lot of the time was waiting for things to happen rather than strategising. I had fun playing, hope to see this project continue post-jam. Good job!

Operation Asteroid by SvartTand 2020-04-23T08:01:36Z

That was an interesting and unique game! It took a while for me to understand what I had to do but once I got the gist of it, the game was pretty fun. The manual shooting was a bit confusing because I wasn't sure which part was supposed to hit the meteors but that might just be me. The graphics were pretty cool but at times the lighting made asteroids hard to see (Not sure if this is intentional though). Good job adding music as well in such a short time too, but personally it felt too slow for an action game with constant shooting. I really liked the unique mechanics! Good job!

Protecting Yggdrasil by TheCrittersCove 2020-04-30T02:00:33Z

Interesting game! I played a few times but couldn't beat that boss. At first the game was hard to understand and didn't feel very intuitive, but once I got the gist of it, the game was quite fun! Good job

Hungry, Hungry, Hungry, Very, Very Hungry Cat by ilikescifi 2020-04-20T07:13:49Z

It was a bit hard to understand, I could only get to a score of 6!

I liked the art, music and sound effects. Good job!

Hacking is Probably Not Like This by sayumeki 2020-04-20T05:39:58Z

Interesting game! I liked the menus.

Mutiny by Cataractar 2020-04-24T00:19:46Z

I beat the game in normal mode! It was an interesting resource managing challenge with a lot of systems. The game was a bit confusing at first because the tutorial seemed to give a lot of information, but I got the gist of it after a few tries. It was fun keeping track of multiple bars, although mutiny is still a bit confusing to me. I liked the simple art though I didn't notice the bars on top of the pirates' heads until after a while (might just be me though!). Once I noticed them the game felt a lot easier without having to keep looking at the left side of the screen. Fun take on the theme. Good job!

Carnivorous by James Greenleaf 2020-04-30T01:12:33Z

Played a few times with a controller, found it very hard with so many enemies!

Herb! by Swordfish 2020-04-20T04:16:14Z

Interesting game! I love the voice sounds! Not sure about finding 24150 meat in the second level though...

Some music would have been nice! Good job!

The Call of the Unicore by sndr 2020-04-22T06:37:19Z

Fun game! Movement and shooting was really fun and I really enjoyed the sounds, art, and animation. Very cute! I thought having three resources to collect and maintain was an interesting idea, but honestly I ended up ignoring that and switching items because they didn't seem to make much of a difference to how I would play the game with one resource. I just collected everything and gave everything at once. The risk-reward of going out to collect items and staying close to protect gameplay was really cool! Great job!

Penguin March by ilPrinny 2020-04-20T05:26:05Z

Got to the end! I love the art and the penguin sounds.

Mountain by yellow 2020-04-30T01:44:44Z

Interesting game, I just found it really difficult to react so quickly.

Pet Life by ForeverTrash 2020-04-20T04:22:35Z

Interesting game. I love the art and music!

A piece of feedback is that the T and B buttons kind of feel awkward to use on the keyboard.

Good job!

The Last Meal of Winnifred by Rusty Jim 2020-04-22T06:04:34Z

I don't know what Winnifred is, but I do know that its the reason I won't be able to sleep tonight.

It was an interesting game! I wasn't able to finish the game, but that was partly because I couldn't completely understand the way Winnifred jumps on things, partly because of objects rotating in the z-axis (i.e., away from the screen so that they lengths and shape kept changing out of my control) and mostly because your description said that the last level was hard (although I don't know how many levels there are). Honestly it's not so encouraging when the designer says that they had trouble with their own levels, especially for a puzzle game! The physics and Winnifred's jumping actions felt unfairly unpredictable at times, but if that can be sorted out, it could become a fun game. Good job!

Fleur Defense by SamStallion 2020-04-23T02:33:20Z

That was a really fun game! I really liked every aspect of it. The sounds, music, art, and animation all fit in together really well. One small thing is that I was first confused about which platforms I could stand on, I think one of them might be missing at outline. It would also be useful to know how much damage the plants and I do so that I can make better informed decisions. Overall it was really well done and I'd love to come back and play this if it gets updated. Amazing work!

Anatomic Mayhem by henrycgs 2020-04-23T08:28:41Z

That was a really challenging and interesting game! I only got a score of 1:47. The multitasking aspect of the game really keeps you busy, but understand what you had to do was a bit confusing at first. The graphics were well done and the music and sounds gave off a creepy vibe. This might just be me being bad at the game, but I think it might be an interesting idea to introduce each organ one at a time more slowly (again, might just be me!). Was a fun challenge. Good job!

Gunlings by Questlow 2020-04-20T11:34:30Z

As someone who hasn't actually played Lemmings I found this very difficult, but what I played was fun! I like the art and unique mechanics. Funny take on the theme!

Zero by omercanbalandi 2020-04-20T05:10:22Z

Made it to the end! I love the art.

Coronary Flypass by squirmonkey 2020-04-21T01:27:40Z

I wasn't good enough to get through all the levels but what I played was fun! Great job!

Yes, Mr. President! by HowlingShame 2020-04-20T07:23:32Z

Interesting game! I played a few times. I like the art, music and sound effects. A highscore system might be cool!

Hospital Ride by The1 2020-04-20T11:10:39Z

I made it to the end! A really fun game. Loved the sounds, music, art style, particles when you run into a wall... Really wanted to play more levels! Looking forward to any future additions. Great job!

Vine and Void by JUSTCAMH 2020-04-24T01:16:21Z

Interesting game with a very unique mechanic! I got the seed pieces but unfortunately I was stuck on what I had to do after that. I really liked the colours and visual style, sound effects, and music. The vines are a really creative idea and I hope that you can continue to push them further. Making a level generator in such a short time for something like this is very impressive. Good job!

Brain Training 101 by DigitalLimestone 2020-04-20T07:33:49Z

I couldn't get very far but it was an interesting and funny game!

Keep Them Alive by ShenDev 2020-05-04T13:07:18Z

Interesting game! I got a score of 14. I liked the music, especially how it gets faster during the speedup of the waves! Also liked the cute art. Definitely play and rate other games to get yours noticed!

Fish Flop by OgelGames 2020-04-23T10:17:35Z

I wonder where the fish is going?

That was a fun game! The sound effects and particles made flopping feel satisfying. Even after beating the game (I think?) I kept on flopping because of how fun it felt! I liked the music too. The art is simple but that's not a bad thing! It made the obstacles clear and intuitive to navigate. Good job!

BBYS by Lambdanaut 2020-04-20T05:31:33Z

Hard but interesting game! Great job!

Tribis by LeitoSimon 2020-04-21T05:02:51Z

I had no idea what I was doing but I really enjoyed the music and sound effects! I also absolutely love this artstyle and the animations! I laughed out loud when I saw and heard the character trip in the puddle. Unfortunately I got stuck in the running animation and stopped there. Hope to see more come out of this project. Good job!

In A Game Wherein by SSStormy 2020-04-20T04:45:53Z

That was great! The writing is superb, and 6/5 for innovation!

Burning Time by pixelcrustpunk 2020-04-22T05:44:50Z

That was a fun game! I really liked the art, music, and sound effects. I tried to write this comment with the music in the background but of course I was being attacked by zombies so it didn't really work out. One small thing is that the hitboxes and responsiveness on the attacks felt a bit off, but maybe that was just me (In my video you might sometimes see me just standing there and taking zombie hits, but I'm actually spamming the attack button!). I could see this being a really cool post-jam project with some tweaks and more variety. Great job!

Antarctica Story by Nghia Lam 2020-04-23T08:46:52Z

Cool game! I like the celeste inspired movement and graphics. Unfortunately I couldn't make it to the end, I could only get the 3 apples. I would've liked to keep going and beat the game because the game itself was fun, but the ending was very slow and restarting the game took too long. The transition that happens after each death also felt slow. There were also some parts where I found some bugs. Sometimes I would teleport into a spike or get stuck off-screen. I hope to see this project continue post-jam. I'd like to challenge the level again if restarting the game is faster. Good job!

Ballerina by CaptAndrey 2020-04-20T11:19:48Z

Interesting idea and take on the theme. I'm probably just bad at the game but I found it quite hard! Played a few levels but couldn't find the energy.

Happy Life by scalliondelight 2020-04-21T01:56:39Z

My pet and marriage both survived, and I didn't get fired! I also found what happens when you drink too much wine... creepy...

Managing multiple things was really fun! The music and the ambient track of the restaurant was really cool as well as the sound effects. I saw that you didn't create some of the sound but they were well chosen to fit the mood. Some mechanics such as having to remember what was being said to respond is really unique and interesting! Also liked the art style. The only thing was that it was a bit confusing about what I had to do at first and how the stats change, but it was fun once I kind of got it. Good job!

MELT by mmatt_ugh 2020-04-22T08:43:22Z

My favourite game of the jam so far, loved every aspect of it. Looking forward to post-jam levels!

Not Clowning Around! by Wilson Taylor 2020-04-20T02:56:14Z

Hilarious game! I love the music and sounds. It took a while for me to understand how it worked but once I did I played a few rounds!

Wish the text in the tutorial was a bit easier to read. It was also hard reading the textbox with the timer going down but I guess that's part of it. Great job!

Paper Holes by Gehad 2020-04-23T09:54:32Z

Interesting gameplay! I lasted for 60 seconds! I could see this as a quick pick-up-and-play mobile game. I liked the sound effects, they fit the mood of the game. Although the graphics were unique, the black and white changing was distracting and hurt my eyes. I'm not sure if it's entirely necessary because it didn't seem to add anything to the game other than making the screen hard to see for a long time. I do think that simple shapes were the way to go though!

F.I.R.E. (Fel Ine Rescue Endeavors) by brenno263 2020-04-22T06:59:24Z

I wonder what sort of building has this many fire extinguishers and axes. Pretty ironic that they were the buildings that caught on fire.

I made it to the end! That was a really fun game! I really liked the art (the expression of that cat!), music, and sound effects (they really fit the mood!). The gameplay was really unique while being intuitive which made it enjoyable. One small thing is that I sometimes got mixed up between the s-key and spacebar. I wonder if its possible to make them a single action key? The camera didn't feel very smooth though that might just be me. I'd love to see more levels. Also, very clever and cute name for your game. Great job!

Mycelium by BlobRoss 2020-04-23T06:10:59Z

Got a score of 400! At the start I was confused about what was going on and what I had to do, but once I got the gist of it, it was a really fun game with very innovative gameplay! I enjoyed the unique colour palette used, the character designs, sound, and music. They all fit in really well with each other! One small thing is that when I first started playing, I didn't notice the things which I could pick up as they didn't particularly stand out to me. I do realise however, that you're working with a limited palette, and once I noticed I could pick them up it wasn't an issue. Sometimes during the game I disappeared. Maybe I died? Either way it wasn't very clear what happened and I was pretty confused. As I was playing I was thinking that it might have been nice to be able to see something like my score or how many waves I have beaten so that I felt that there was some progress. Of course, these are small nitpicks from what was a really fun game. Great job!

Fermi Paradox by tversteeg 2020-04-20T06:18:06Z

Hard but interesting game! Played a few rounds and could only get to level 6 but I had fun doing it!

Feast of blood by DanilShekarev 2020-04-24T01:31:06Z

Interesting idea! I liked the art, music, and lighting! They really helped to set the atmosphere of the game. I had an issue where after hiding a victim I couldn't find anymore (maybe it was just me?). Good job!

That was my last egg by dq_201 2020-04-20T06:07:11Z

I made it to the end. Extremely addicting! I kept saying "just one more" to myself and the final section was extremely difficult but with the end in sight I just couldn't give up. Great use of checkpoints. Interesting mechanics! It's hard at first but mastering it feels very satisfying. Love the art. Great job!

Verbose by santriptasharma 2020-04-23T07:29:53Z

That was a good game! Unfortunately I got stuck on a level but what I played was fun. The premise was a hilarious take on the theme and I think you all did well with it. I liked the art, simple animations and sound effects. A small thing is that I would've liked to see things in more precise numbers such as how much health the reinforce building upgrade gave and how much damage each unit did. I'd like to see a post-jam version with updated balancing and content! Great job!

Fleurist by TheJonu 2020-04-20T07:03:28Z

Played until I had $31500!! Simple and addicting game. Seeing that money go up is really satisfying. The art style is great too!

Would've liked a longer loop for the background music and a goal amount to reach for. Great job!

Stupid Little Bird by Dolleman 2020-04-20T08:12:55Z

I'm really bad at this game, I couldn't even get past the second level! Wish flying were a bit easier. It's a pity I didn't get to see more because I really loved the art style and animations!

Stupid Little Bird by Dolleman 2020-04-20T11:21:30Z

@dolleman Please give me a mention when you do! I'd love to come back and check this out again :)

KEEP THE KING(DOM) ALIVE by Kevin H 2020-04-21T01:32:15Z

I have no absolutely no idea what I'm doing but I like the art! The bouncing animation on the text is really distracting though.

Emberkeep by T C 2020-04-21T01:45:06Z

I couldn't make it to the end but what I played was interesting! I liked the art and the music. The mechanic is unique and very on theme! Good job!

A tale of Rebirthism by Pomo 2020-04-23T06:38:10Z

That was a very challenging but fun game! I really wanted to keep going for the rest of the dialogue, but got stuck on a level. I'd like to come back and try it again some time! At first I wasn't sure about the graphics but they turned out to be perfect for this and couldn't imagine the game with another style. The dialogue was wonderful and I let out more than one laugh reading through it, you have a really good sense of humour. While the gameplay was challenging, it also felt intuitive so it didn't feel particularly unfair. I also really liked the music and sound effects, very fitting. Great job!

Angry Aphid by scifi6546 2020-04-20T03:22:43Z

Addictive game. Programmer art is best art. Wish there was a score, sounds, and a higher difficulty curve!

Save the station by Alexander Termer 2020-04-20T02:12:59Z

It took me a while to understand what was going on, but its an interesting game! The way that the bullets fly towards the enemies was very satisfying.

Would love to have an explanation and sound effects.

Keeping IT Alive by Delunado 2020-04-21T03:46:01Z

Very creepy! Especially that title screen. For most of the game it was clear what I had to do. I might just be bad at the game, but I personally found it very difficult! It was fun thinking about whether I should risk my life to get coins or get kids. Good job!

RoadRage! by Zonvoi 2020-04-23T09:29:18Z

That was a fun game! Hope you had just as much fun making it. I thought that the mechanic of protecting the bus was a really good take on the theme and it was intuitive to play. One small thing is that I found the audio to be quite repetitive after a while because the song was a very short loop. The powerups were fun to use! Hope this wasn't your last jam because I'd love to see more. Great job!

Hamloon by NoelOskar 2020-04-20T04:03:09Z

Fun game! I got to 1465m.

Holding down the mouse button was tiring, wish it could just follow my mouse. Some music would've been nice.

The art is cute!

ALYVE by jspacek 2020-04-28T03:35:02Z

Fun game! Made it to Sunday. It took a while for me to understand what was going on but once I did it was good. Really liked the twist.

Tower of BOOM by BadPiggy 2020-04-23T10:07:01Z

That was a challenging but interesting game! I got a score of 760! The mechanic of keeping up your combo to live I think is something I personally haven't seen before and I found it really cool. I might just be bad at the game but personally I found it quite difficult! As hard as it was, I did keep trying because the gameplay was fun. The instant restarts were very much appreciated! I think this game could really benefit from more feedback from shooting (See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJdEqssNZ-U). I liked the simple art and animation! The player, enemies, and obstacles really popped out and was clear to see. Good job!

Keep My Keep Alive by Thooom 2020-04-20T07:37:35Z

Simple but fun game! Got a score of 42.

Party Animal by puntocom 2020-04-23T23:55:35Z

I wonder what made this party so crazy.

Interesting and challenging game! I got a score of 2033! I liked the busy gameplay where there was always something that I had to do. Planning my route and priorities kept the game engaging. The floor plan art was interesting but at first I didn't notice the door at the bottom (might just be me though!). Good job!

Good Boy Wanwan by PecheDodue 2020-04-21T01:01:03Z

I made it to the end! It was really fun! I really liked the art for both the cutscenes and simple modelling. The sound effects with the voice lines were great and the background music is so good, I'm even listening to it now as I type this comment. The gameplay is unique, I don't think I've played anything similar but it works really well. And of course the humour brings it together nicely too.

One thing though is that the controls felt awkward to use. I don't think right shift works for running but please correct me if I'm wrong! The camera was also really fast but that might just be my mouse settings.

Amazing work!

tiriplici by Trexxak 2020-04-21T03:54:27Z

Interesting and unique gameplay! The movement for the characters were hard to control but it was interesting how they were controlled and moved quite differently. I might just be bad at the game but personally I found it quite difficult! It was nice to have sound in the background but it got a bit distracting after a while. I like the art, very quirky! Very impressive for a first timer. Good job!

Bubba's Beach Balls by HuddyBuddyGreatness 2020-04-21T02:38:24Z

Swinging around felt really fun and satisfying! Also liked the art style and animations. Good job!

Little Red Hood by RooftopDog 2020-04-23T11:03:17Z

Very atmospheric! Unfortunately I didn't finish the game, but I played through the first two levels. The lighting was really cool and together with the sounds and art really made the mood of the game. Some of the movement felt a bit strange where I didn't jump where I expected to, but that might just be me. The slow walking helped to set the pace and mood of the game which was good, but it did make restarting levels feel a bit painful knowing that I'd have to slowly make my way through again. Honestly I don't know what I would do to balance this out but thought that I might mention it here anyway. Good job, especially for such a short time!

Dog Feeder by plantleaf 2020-04-20T02:59:11Z

Interesting game, made it to he end! Poor dog...

Carry the Fire by Ciber_Turtle 2020-04-20T03:15:43Z

Interesting take on the theme. I liked the graphics! The jump button didn't work very well which is a pity because I would've liked to play more.

Irving Forrest Technologies and [REDACTED] by Dane Ziggler 2020-04-21T04:51:40Z

Good writing and great sense of humour! Good choice of colours to make the text easy to read as well. Good job!

Daisy by MasterPose 2020-04-23T09:45:22Z

I've never played Sit ‘N Survive or even heard of it but the resource management mechanics in this game was interesting! I survived for 9 days. The survival guide was confusing for a first time player out of context but made more sense after playing the game. At first I was a bit confused about what I had to do but after a few days I got the gist of it. I liked the art and sound effects! They were relatively simple but they fit the mood of the game well. At times I had a fire icon but I still don't know what that's for. Good job, especially as a one-person team with such a short time!

I like the ragdoll physics! I'm not very good so I got a score of 13.

The slo-mo might have been clearer with sound or music so that would be nice. The text could use a background textbox or a different colour to make them clearer.

Interesting game!

Penance: A story of Resistance by JoAMD 2020-04-23T07:48:31Z

Interesting game! I finished the post jam version. I know that the music wasn't original but it was well chosen to add to the mood. The character felt a bit floaty and hard to control. A lot of platform games like yours take a lot of testing and tuning to make movement feel just right and I think doing that would go a long way in your project! There were some really cool ideas like pushing the box into the acid to jump on. A lot of the time there didn't seem to be much point in killing enemies so I ran past a lot of them. Maybe there needs to be some sort of incentive? Just a thought! Also think about how you might like to spend some time thinking about the UI. The text is quite big and felt like it took up a lot of space. I'd like to see this project continue post-jam. Good job!

That was really hard! I tried so, so many times and almost got to the end but just missed it. Checkpoints would've been nice!

I love the sound of the... thing... it makes when it bounces around! Wish the background music was longer, the mute button was appreciated after several runs.

Might come back for just one more try... good fun!

That was an interesting game! Loved the animations and the sound effects. I liked that you added very on-theme music as well, would like to hear it as a longer track. Good job!

Shapes by Finn_Tr 2020-04-22T06:22:29Z

It took a while to understand how the movement worked, but once I did, I found it to be really unique and fun! Mastering the movement felt really satisfying! Watching my video, you can compare how I struggled at the start with how I breezed through the level at the end. Unfortunately I couldn't beat the game after a few tries, I found it challenging with the health going down very quickly, at times it felt like I just suddenly died (maybe I didn't have the right strategy?). I liked the art and music! You did really well with minimal colours and simple shapes and lines, and the music really fit the atmosphere. Good job!

Fun game! I like the art, music, and sound effects. Good job!

I found that you can shoot lasers in the pause screen. I got a time of 1:32 without cheating!

I got a score of 42! Didn't really get it though...

That was a beautiful experience. The sounds and music are amazing and you have a very calming voice. Definitely going to be sharing this one around with friends after the jam.

Interesting game, played up until the level where you have to match the numbers!

The color choice made it difficult to see and play.

Simple game! I got to level 5. I know you opted out of audio, but the track was a good choice to create the mood.

The Box by OskarDev 2020-04-20T08:04:48Z

14 minutes and 66 deaths later I have beaten the game! There were a few really difficult parts where I thought I might stop playing but the game was so fun and addicting, I just had to keep going until the end. I liked the art, sound effects, and level design. Great job!

As someone who doesn't know Game of Life I didn't really understand what was going on.

Made it to day 30! But I think I might've just gotten really lucky. Interesting idea! Wish the systems were explained a little better, it's a cool way of managing resources.

Interesting gameplay! I really liked the 2.5D art style. The sound effects were really cool too! And a good sense of humour. Good job!
