Interesting game. I liked the cute art!
That's interesting, I'll check out the .dll issue. This is my first time trying to make a game using c++, so still new to some of the lower level constraints.
I can't play the game. When try to start the game it says misses some files.
Many kneecaps were pecked. I was the destroyer of humans and planter of flowers. Congratulations on finishing a game in 48 hours.
I really love the movement, especially the jumping, kind of cool to see where you end up since you can't tell the depth. On the other hand, didn't feel like I moved fast / accurately enough to be able to stop the mean old dudes from smashing the egg..
error.png At the top it says I need this dll, I downloaded it, and tried again leading to the bottom error
Haha, I really like the detail of planting flowers where enemies are defeated.
It's a cool concept, but I wish I could run faster / spam peck while moving. It'd give me more opportunities to defend the egg.
Also, these are some tallbois.
Works fine, but the duck feels a bit slow. Esp. later on, when lots of humans come in, you don't stand a chance.
My egg got smashed :( But the timer went on, and even got negative. Is there no lose situation/screen?
Other than that, nice little game!
With the help of a friend, I tried to include the .dll files that he was missing in the repository. Still checking to see if it will now run on other machines.
In the future, I should just use Unity and stop with c++
I figured it out, it's a problem with 32 vs 64 bit. I'm going to work on a small hot fix so it can work on both platforms.
Nice little game, really nice that you tried to do it in C++ with the OLC libs. Maybe you can try using Unity as you said but dont give up on C++, its a nice tool to know and It will give teach you a lot of great stuff that you will miss if you only use Unity.
Very cute chick !
