Very creepy! Especially that title screen. For most of the game it was clear what I had to do. I might just be bad at the game, but I personally found it very difficult! It was fun thinking about whether I should risk my life to get coins or get kids. Good job!

Very interesting. I found it a very curious proposal, the mechanics of taking the child, for example. I think that the procedural generation should be more progressive, perhaps I have not understood well how to overcome some obstacles and it has seemed impossible to move forward at times. In this case, for example.

wow very good idea inside this game , keep it up ,

anthony-pengelly 2020-04-21 13:16

Really good game. Super creepy, but a strong theme. Felt really polished

petrifiedapple 2020-04-21 13:19

Took a while to figure out; it's slightly annoying that you're required to hold shift for many of the keys

delunado 2020-04-21 13:22

@petrifiedapple hey! Maybe it's because you have Block Mayus activated. Try playing without it activated :)

eyesoflamia 2020-04-21 13:22

Interesting concept and nice graphics. Also a big fan of IT :)

sanjana 2020-04-21 13:32

I tried playing a few times, but every time, I got blocked by a fence in all three lanes. I also could not figure out how to pick up the kids for the longest time until I realized I had to press all the keys on screen so maybe it might be helpful to mention that somewhere.

The theme, mood, graphics and music were on point though

delunado 2020-04-21 13:34

@sanjana Thank You for the feedback. The fences can be broken the same way as you catch kids, pressing K :)

sir-magic 2020-04-21 13:37

The graphics were good and definitely had an horror-esque feel to them. To improve, please make the gaps between fences either bigger or smaller. They look like I can fit through the gaps but I can't. I also would like it if the death scenes happened a bit faster so that I can get back to playing the game. But all in all, I loved the literal use of the theme and the music was great.

love the concept and the the mood. i kept getting stuck behind obstacles which made playing a little frustrating though.

Very nice game, interesting spin on the theme. I spent quite some time playing it (restarted a few times because I thought I was doing to badly to be able to win).

One minor problem was, that I couldn't see the holes without turning up my monitors brightness as they were too similar to the ground.

But other than that: Solid mechanics and great art and music.

Really cool game! The graphics are so polished and the music does a good aport. I bit difficult in my opinion the destroy mecanic the first time I played, but at the end it makes you think and prioritize your actions. Really good job guys!

I loved the creepy intro audio and how bits of the children appear on ground after it has eaten them. Very clever pun on the theme also.

awesome concept and great take on the theme. It is ultra hard tho, specially at the beginning, even if I can write without looking at the keyboard I continuously missed inputs. I think the game would benefit a lot from having another mapping to the part of inputting multiple keys to break a wall or kidnap a child, like the arrow keys, that are easily recognizable. Appart from that, a really good job and a very solid game.

Wow just wow! I loved the intro, it really got me into it. Felt like I was playing an adventure game. The setting is really cool, love the lightning, the environments, the overall ambience.

And the mechanics are cool and engaging! BUT I felt terrible by kidnapping little innocent children :see_no_evil: Still did it though.

When you take the trolley for the first time and the music starts playing, you just know there are some heinous acts you will commit! Very cinematic moment honestly!

I loved it's roguelite elements. If it weren't for the bubblegum machine, I would have quit after the first night, because I felt I'm simply too slow with the keyboard to really enjoy the game as it should be enjoyed. With the upgrade system though I felt things could only get better and the excitement to explore the next upgrade. Very good thinking implementing upgrades!

Other than that, I feel the game might be juuuust a bit too unforgiving, but that might just aswell be my incompetence :D

I really liked the "voice" acting and the previously mentioned score-soundtrack. OH and the lonely, yellow balloon transition was superb, visually!

heyllopotato 2020-04-21 23:12

Good jam it is very challenging, I really like the concept and I think worked well. The sounds were good and the animations were very nice. One thing was I was just wondering why the kids said try again when you got it right and took the kid thats a little weird. Also kind of wish there was maybe sound when you got it wrong but other than that overall was a nice game!

joaog 2020-04-24 03:32

I liked it! I ended up coming to this game through a comment from you in another game with elements from the movie *It*. And I have to say I loved the soundtrack, but mainly the sound that plays when you take the cart and the game really starts. Honestly i'm really bad at this game! Haha. Good job, by the way, I also got inspired by *It* to make my game! [Keep Floating](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/keep-float).

anhel 2020-04-25 22:17

Yeah, IT shoud be alive 😆️ Nice job!

texz 2020-04-28 13:23

Ahah really good idea, perfectly realized

flying-dog-fish 2020-04-28 16:19

Creepy and pretty and hard as hell. Some more detailed instructions on how to play would make this even better. I wouldn't mind some consideration for narrower displays - the text was cut off on the sides on my 16:10 display. Otherwise - good job.
