LD46 — Keep it alive

Needy Slime in a cozy house. by digitaldude555 2020-04-21T20:09:43Z

Not a bad idea, but the UI could use some work. That you need to click while the status bar is in the red zone for cooking is non-obvious, and the interaction points are non-obvious for some things.

Herb! by Swordfish 2020-04-20T07:43:35Z

Not just the meat, the resources demanded for all the categories in the second level are insane...

A Desperate Theif by Jack Maxwell 2020-04-21T03:39:15Z

I think you should pick either the timer or the healthbar, not both. I'd lean toward the healthbar and away from the timer, but make the healthbar much smaller. Good thieving requires timing and patience, which a timer discourages.

Don't Crack by Weirdybeardyman 2020-04-21T04:24:31Z

Kind of a neat idea... The pillow should not have been movable though. It's trivial to beat by hopping onto the pillow, then picking the pillow up and "flying" above the house all the way to the right.

Northern Pirates by NorthernDevGuy 2020-04-21T08:43:51Z

The ships are *slow*, the scale seems a bit off... The cannons fly pretty slowly, and don't give a big enough trail or splash to see where they're hitting. The ship speed compared to the cannon reload time is... not right. Overall the idea is neat, but it turns into just spamming the fire button and hoping for the best.

Giant Blobs From Mars by Almighty Games 2020-04-21T06:24:48Z

Very well done. When I realized the mechanic, I didn't think I'd actually enjoy it, but there's quite a lot of room for optimization of strategy. The pacing is such that you can multitask, so that works out well.

It would be good if the long lasting tiles were net energy negative, so there would be more strategy than just taking one tile at a time starting at the top left...

Lone Cabin by Alex Chrome 2020-04-20T09:03:29Z

It runs too fast. The balance is fine, but when the time taken to go from full to empty on a bar is measured in seconds, it makes for too frantic of input, where the key to surviving rests more on pixel perfect dragging than smart planning.

Free Munchers by Logan Perkins 2020-04-20T08:01:19Z

I did notice that on a less bright screen than I used to design it. I largely copied the color scheme from the 1990 8bit color version of the game, but some of them are not quite right. The levels are in random order.
