Best game of 1st day!! fantastic IA. GG
Great job with the low poly modeling. I did have a little trouble at first maneuvering the ship, but it was easy to dismiss, seeing that I have never really driven a boat before. I really enjoyed the look of the game very much. I can see that you put a lot of work into this. Good luck with the jam!
I don't know if I was doing something wrong, but I was moving excrutiatingly slow. It seemed like a really cool idea, but I could not get myself to deliver more than one load of wood because of the speed. The game looks and sounds amazing though, so really well done!
The ships are *slow*, the scale seems a bit off... The cannons fly pretty slowly, and don't give a big enough trail or splash to see where they're hitting. The ship speed compared to the cannon reload time is... not right. Overall the idea is neat, but it turns into just spamming the fire button and hoping for the best.
Ships are a bit slow as mentioned previously, Enjoyed the battles. Found the voiceovers amazingly hilarious!
Hey, i really love the art. it was great for low poly style the game also quite when you get to shoot the pirate. But the control quite heavy and really slippery. I almost collided with ice block many times. Oh and it would be great if can see the cannot ball smoke trail
Great Game, i really liked the artstyle and the music. The mouse control in windowed is very bad, but as you said in the instructions best experience is fullscreen and there i dont have any problems.
Really like the idea and I feel like it could be really fun, but the controls right now are kind of clunky, in particular the mouse camera movement ( at least on the web version ) feels not great.
The art and audio was very good!
Wow awesome, i really like the lowpoly style, the sound is also really good. I think you should lock the mouse in or add some settings to adjust the sensibility for it. But all in all a great game.
Great submission! Especially this "i'm not a good driver" voice! Gameplay is easy to understand Controls are slow like you're really on a ship! But when you're trying to turn around it can be tricky at some point Bullets are too small i guess - you can increase their size to make them more visible
Nice game! I wish it was a bit easier to control the ship. I love low poly art style and mood. It seems though the density of polygons was not consistent, I think if that were the case it would look even better!
Looks good, but the steering is quite hard.
The feeling of maneuvering the ship was really good and a lot of fun. The combat between ships is cool, but seems that the cannonballs are too little, so its impact is hard to measure, or not felt at all. The art and sounds are good overall, but a little bland to be great. In the game, hitting stuff seems very unforgiving, and I found no use for the gold I acquired, which felt a little odd. Still, the experience overall was cool, good game.
Nice idea.. i like the controls being more realistic, the fight system is a little strange, tho, enemy boats could attack me from behind and front, i imagined like, side-to-side only fighting :) but it was fun, i like the graphics
Very cool art style and concept very fun hard to control
Good stuff. Moving the ship was tedious but overall you could argue that adds to the mechanic and of course a ship doesn't just turn on a dime anyway. I didn't play fullscreen at first and couldn't figure out why it wasn't firing, but it's because the mouse isn't captured so i was clicking outside the bounds of the game window. Going fullscreen solved that for me.
attacking ships is lots of fun! dmg effects and music feels good!
Nice stuff! The voice over made it funny for me. Movement controls were a bit awkward but once you got a handle of it the rest of the game flows quite nicely.
Particularly liked the water graphics, but general art style was nice! Good entry
I love this art style! The ship control felt difficult, but I imagine it's more realistic than most games. Overall, great job!
Beautiful graphics! The contol of the ship feels a little slugish. Loled with "I'm not a good driver". Good job!
I don't know if its my machine or what but the movement was extremely slow, rotating the ship was a real pain and the worst is that my mouse cursor didn't lock. I think you have a great idea, but I couldn't enjoy the actual game :/
@masterpose If you use the web version fullscreen it works best that way. The movement is slow, I was going for a more real ship feel. I should have sped it up more.
I can easily see my self enjoying this if there were more strategies involved and the controls were better. I think when you turn right it says right until you turn it the other way right? I think there should be a UI indicator to show you this.
nice feel and graphics. I think this could go to both mobile as a fun arcade game or PC with a full campaign. of course you should prove the small loop here is fun. I think you are almost there...
