I love the idea! Reminded me of sushi rotary! I'm so bad at this but I love the idea and the art!

escape 2018-04-24 06:46

I loved the music and sound effects:) Especially when you pick up the blue poop! hehehe Great work!

draughtvader 2018-04-24 06:49

Neat little game. Loved the character art!

Great audio, great game design. Very well put together all in all.

librorumque64 2018-04-24 07:46

I like the synergy between art and music. I think the racing part could be more dynamic maybe? Now it's easier to do stop-aim-move cycle rather than steer. I only unlocked the first two plates though.

lwt1231234 2018-04-24 08:53

@Librorumque64 thanks for your feedback. In fact we don't want player stop/slow the car for collecting all the ingredients in menu. We wish player can find the balance between fast and accurate. You can earn money by either being fast (remaining time) or collecting correct ingredients. Maybe we should explain the scoring rules more clearly.

I had fun while playing this game, I was really eager to buy the better plates. Great job guys!

victorcrafty 2018-04-25 14:19

Good sound effects! Good job!

la-mecanique-du-plastique 2018-04-25 14:38

Fun concept, but the maneuverability is a bit frustrating. The ingredients placement on map could be improved too, as sometimes you don't get the required ingredients on the track.

With fast and reactive controls, a bit of polishing, and maybe some local multiplayer to steal some fresh salads leafs from your friends routes, and I'm sure that could be a very fun game :)

Bravo !

walkdigidong 2018-04-25 14:46

Nice music and art. Controlls are a little bit difficult, but still enjoyd it)

add-an-a 2018-04-25 14:57

I really liked the audio in the game, and the concept is interesting!

I think the distribution of the ingredients on the track could use a bit of work, and the perspective - with customers zooming by on their sides - made me feel a bit sick (but that might just be me).

Overall, good job!

borodar 2018-04-25 15:01

Idea isn't bad at all, great combination of genres. Controls are freaking hard... almost impossible to steer. Anyway, the concept is pretty funny, good job!

kurt-roembke 2018-04-25 15:03

Definitely one of the most cohesive games I've played on this jam so far! Very nice! try ours!! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/mulligun

linky439 2018-04-25 15:04

I like the idea, but it is a bit hard to control your plate sometimes ^^

The games looks nice, the music is good and the concept is fun. Good job!

mahalis 2018-04-25 15:05

This is fun! Great combination of ideas, and I really dig the music and the pixel art. Nice work!

scott-steffes 2018-04-25 15:21

I loved everything about this game. I had a hard time with the controls sometimes but I felt determined to get better at it. I assumed the order of the ingredients mattered so I waited until I got a slice of bread, avoiding the meat only to realize I was missing it at the end. It would probably also be nice to get a little more detail in how the scoring works. You should totally make this into a more full-fledged game!

klerembot 2018-04-25 15:53

You should congratulate yourself, because this is really good! Controlling the plate is a bit difficult, but I still enjoyed every second of it. Also, send some compliments to the chef who created the music, sooo good!

uynad11037 2018-04-25 20:10

Many ppl have complained about the controls. I have to say, well, when we were developing the game, We already realized this problem (since we cannot play it well either lol) We tried lots of programming ways to improve it, though most of them didn't seem to work. If you have more detailed suggestion about how to deal with the controlling in Racing games, we would sincerely appreciate it. This is the first time we made a Racing game, and all of us hope to make it better someday.

Very good idea, controls not so much. What I've seen for this type of games, is you need to make turning more responsive and not move the stage. Check this one, may give you some ideas: https://kronbits.itch.io/crt-racer

finalspace 2018-05-02 21:24

I played your game before seeing your post at Zhihu Very interesting idea. The control might be a bit difficult, but it doesn't bother me. Cute game, nice work!

beebo-studios 2018-05-05 01:09

I love the weird artstyle! I'm a sucker for weird artstyles :D

The game plays quite well, even if the controls could be sharper. The sound effects and all the crazy characters are hilarious. I really didn't like the music, though. It was way to energetic and non-crazy for this zany title. It's propably just personal.

Great game overall! :)

darkwing00duck 2018-05-06 09:26

Very funny game and nice graphics. Maybe a plate make a more slippery

I would be very glad if [you rating my game](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/last-stand-1) too:mag:

alejandrodecea 2018-05-08 15:51

Fits the theme well! The controls felt a little unresponsive, but it was fun to play nonetheless. The AI feels a bit unfair at the start, since it's faster and crashes you on purpose. Good overall though

hippunk 2018-05-08 20:58

I loved your soundtrack !

Controls on the plates, like told before, are something unusual but in my opinion it totally fits the fact that you are driving a plate :).

There's plenty of lovely details during the races.

Congratulations !

I've never made a race game too and found your problems on controls realy interesting. If you're still looking for something i've started to find some informations.

This one seems to compare two aproach of implementing racing games (arcade vs sim) https://superheroesinracecars.com/2016/08/11/implementing-racing-games-an-intro-to-different-approaches-and-their-game-design-trade-offs/ They talk about "Circle-based turning prototype" which looks wonderful.

This one is a full detailled way to implement a race sim https://nccastaff.bournemouth.ac.uk/jmacey/MastersProjects/MSc12/Srisuchat/Thesis.pdf

Don't hesitate to tell me if you find something interesting about racing implementations on your side :).
