Works good using java 10. That is true that the game feels slow. The best strategy I found was to sort the numbers for as long as possible. I am probably not the most efficient garbage collector :smile:

I do agree with @gurbx. The game got interesting after the 10th wave. Difficulty feels just right on waves 10-16. The problem is that the game doesn't give you enough time to cleanup previous waves.

I loved the story telling bits and all the animations! The gameplay feels alright, but the collision box of the items seems too small. It feels like it is easy to hit some flying rock (the most satisfying thing to do in this game :smile:) but hard to hit the items. Overall a very solid game!

Thank you @paulstraw ! If you are looking for a complete game with similar spirit then take a look at the game called Into the Breach on Steam. I can't recommend it enough! My game was heavily influenced by some of the mechanics of Into the Breach.

@lars-erik Thanks! Sadly I wasn't able to make the game fully deterministic like Into the Breach. Rush type enemy is predictable. Ranged type enemy is very random. Stages themselves are random(ish). All in all, you are expected to lose and reset the levels :smile:

@jk-studio Yeah, I probably made it a little bit too random at times. That is part of the reason why you can restart the level as much as needed without any penalties

@rumor, @incobalt, @sh1rogane Thanks for the feedback! I wish I had more time to implement proper animations and make the mechanics much more transparent to the player. The truth is that the idea for the game was a little bit too big, so I had to cut the budget on some important aspects including UX, music, sounds and many many more. I will try to manage my time better in future projects :smiley:

Visually this game looks good. On harder difficulties this game is a labyrinth crawler. There is not much variety to the gameplay. Dying in one turn and flying out of the lab as a bunch of particles seems like the only true ending!)

The game is well paced and quite intuitive. I started playing it without reading the instructions (that is part of the fun :smile:) and managed to discover everything that is needed to progress. I started to suspect that there is more to the game than I initially thought when some anomaly started creeping slowly from the bottom of the screen. Great game!

I saved the world! :smile: The music is good, gameplay is not perfect :no_mouth: In most cases it is better to just run away. Final boss would have been much easier if it had a sound cue for firing the gun. Overall this is a very good game for the first try. Great job!

Great idea! And awesome implementation! For some reason workers didn't phase through each other (as seen on the gif). Therefore sending more than one worker to gather materials is problematic. AI is ok, but playing this type of game against real people would have been brilliant :) Managed to win all six places (heh) on the 3rd try.

I don't think that turn based part makes this game better. Basically, after platforming section you flip the coin to see if turrets will kill your character or not. Gravity switching and platforming feels good.

Managed to beat easy mode :) Controls are quite difficult at first. It's hard to aim because it's hard to tell if 3 turns have passed while trying to preserve perfect attack angle. Some hits don't register properly making game a little bit harder) Nice graphics and sounds! After few tries, turn based element 'clicked'. I think you managed to implement the theme quite well.

@Mathiouza There is a tradeoff between clicking and surfing green zones. Good movement is awarded with higher score. You can play it as just a clicker but you probably won't receive highest possible score (unless you are really good at clicking and have some luck with energy bursts :smiley: ). @foolmoron The only reason to stop clicking is to position yourself better in green zones. There is no hidden health bar, but there is a score multiplier. The higher the multiplier is, the bigger text size for the score.
