Cool idea, it's like a more dynamic sokoban. The art style is cute too.

pohko 2018-08-14 03:08

Very cool, fun little game :)

Nice graphics and really interesting use of the theme. I did have issue with the right click since I was playing on my Mac laptop (something to keep in mind)

hifructose 2018-08-14 03:12

Great game! I love the art style and the concept. Gameplay is simple but fun!

chelc 2018-08-14 03:35

Really fun! Could see how levels could scale up in difficulty... what if there were TWO trucks! I do wish that that WASD worked; using the mouse and arrow keys was a little tricky. The graphics were so cute!! I'm a ninja that needed to get a part-time job.

bobgar 2018-08-14 03:39

The graphics and game work really well! its like Sokoban with monsters!

@bovandenberg Thank you!

@wekaj Thank you! I tried to keep the art simple and manageable.

@gareththedestro Thanks!

@cary-stanley Yeah I tried it on my Chromebook and it was tougher. Just a time constraint thing. Thanks for playing!

@hifructose Thank you!

@chelc I had the two truck idea, too! Sadly there was a bug somewhere that prevented the second truck from spawning any boxes. Oh well! Maybe for a full version that'd be something to look into. I was going to use WASD as well, but I know some keyboards don't have that layout and I didn't have time to implement it. Thank you for the detailed comment!

@bobgar Thanks!

Difficulty was a little tame. Maybe if there were only so many boxes that could get destroyed per level would up the challenge? All in all, very neat game. I had fun playing it all the way though. I love how this is all set on the moon(?), but it's not explicitly said. It could have taken place anywhere, but it's in space. That's a neat detail.

First of all, I LOVE your itch.io page, having it all match the game looks awesome! I love the graphics and use of theme in your game, great job!

rustycrow 2018-08-14 22:34

The synergy with the theme and turn best mechanics really work well together :clap: The controls was a little weird at first but once i go the hang of it was very smooth. I also want to praise you for the tune at the end. keeping in mind this was made in only 48 hours this is a very enjoyable game @tyler-funk well done :clap:

Good game. Mechanics, graphics and music make an excellent combination. :thumbsup: The only thing seems to me that the game is easy, I want it to be more difficult :thinking:

Your game is very nice to play. The general impact is positive. As a professional game dev I would suggest... just kidding haha Nonetheless, if you want to work on this project more I suggest making a difficulty incresing algorithm. Graphics - very nice. Controls are also working very well. Maybe you could also take a glimpse at my game? I already enlarged it into a wholesome Android game :)

Great game and great pixel art! :D

Great twist on sokoban! Also nice visuals and sounds.

I really liked this game a lot. The turn based mechanics gave you time to think about each move and how you wanted to play it out instead of being forced to make a quick decision because the box is moving down the conveyor belt.

I think the controls could be improved a bit, maybe have a key press that triggers the box pick up, box set down, and attack actions then press the arrow key in the direction of the action. Hope that made sense, I just found it a little weird to remove my right hand from the arrow keys, then use the mouse with that hand then use my left hand on the arrow keys while I am moving the box, then switch back to my right hand on the arrow keys. Very minor issue but I figured I'd mention it.

The only other thing I would suggest to improve would be depth of gameplay. I.e. have different boxes with special attributes or more enemy types to mix up the gameplay.

Overall I really enjoyed my time with your game. Congratulations on making a game in 48 hours!
