Your window is too small to actually play the game. I like your art style though!

What are the controls to this game?
I like this art, but I couldn't figure out how to do anything... I just get (...) speech bubble and then they eventually close in on me. Tried keyboard, mouse, gamepad...?
I don't know how to play, and I think my view was zoomed in more than your screenshot.
The itch.io window is too small and I cannot play the game.
So bad we can't play the game yet, it sounds promising. I d like to see how you manage the small talk.
The web resolution is too small to fit the game. Art looks cool, hope it gets fixed so we can test it out!
Sorry I have very bad network connection so I have not tested the web page before uploading it. T-T
exe uploaded. Please try the exe file first...The webGL page is still under testing.
Great art style and humor!
This was so fun to play, my inner introvert started to scream <3
I got the game running OK in the webGL player using the itch.io fullscreen button to work around the window size issue.
It's very simple, there isn't a lot of strategy beyond memorizing the right response. One way this could be improved is to borrow an idea from visual novels and RPGs and add some kind of "flag condition" or "stat based condition" that makes it possible or not possible to select an option. Also check out *Reigns* for an example of a really good use of a game all about this kind of simple dialogue.
The world and characters also need more development and this can suggest ways to make the dialogues interesting. For example, maybe the main character has some kind of comfort device like a teddy bear that they can use to regain composure. Or there is a friend that they can call over to save them from a difficult conversation.
I think the concept is good, it just needs a design that fits everything together better. Most of these kinds of games rely on having lots and lots of dialogue which make them hard to execute in a game jam.
Ehm... I was able to beat every opponent by clicking on the second option very fast, irrespective of dialogue. At any rate, I think you would need a much higher variety of dialogue options for this to work.
Very creative!! and the artwork is really nice!! The itch.io window could be increased and I wonder if the dialog bubbles might be reversed (Easier to read).
I really love the art! how the aesthetics are portrayed are really nice and you can somehow make a likable character I care about in seconds. The gameplay was a little too simple for me didn't seem to be anything to do after a minute (maybe make it faster or less turn based?).
Nice art work. But repetitive dialogs make it a bit boring. Keep on working!
Hooo, we also do a game about the personal sapce, but on the beach ;)
Nice mechanics, but the graph and the font was a little hard to read.
Nice idea! Its an innovative concept that has been executed well. Just needs a little more variety of the characters which could be easily done with a bit more time. Well done!
The game looks cool and i like the way you used the theme but the game needs more polish in order to feel the effect of it. When testing lose condition i started to spam the boxes but did not lose, i later figured out that you need to wait and let the people close in on you in order for you to lose, so you instructions was a little unclear. You made a game in 48 hours well done @kotoriyousan :frog:
Heyaa, nice game! My feedback is considering that you're going to continue developing it.
Nice art, really liked it!
Let's get into critique:
• Well use of the theme, did a good job!
• The game concept is interesting, as you have to read and take decisions as fast as possible while need to think. It reminds me a part of "Emily Is Away 2". It is worth to check it out a video about it.
• The text went out of the balloon, making them hard to read. As you are using Unity I can suggest you to take a look on the UI Anchors guide on Unity page.
• You really can't lose or win, it stills roleplay imo, where you give yourself mini challenges.
That's all about your game that I can say, hope that can be useful to you!
In case you continue to develop your game let me know! I'd love to see your progress, my info is on my LD profile.
Do you mind to give feedback to our game as well? (It’s a platformer, I don’t know if you like the genre but it is important for me to have feedback from player who like and dislike it). The link to it is on my profile, I won't post to avoid spam.
Oh, nice touch that is impossible to have none NPC's on screen. Tried to click on them as fast as possible, and didn't managed to do it!
A good game idea, the music should be improved. The graphics are good. Try our game too, maybe you'll like it)
I liked the idea.
overall the dialogue was funny and the art style was great - one big issue here though is that your game mechanics and the 'meta' outside goals of the player are conflicting. In the game you're trying to click as fast as possible through the dialogue (at least I think that's what you're meant to do) so if the player plays the game well then they won't actually get to read any of it which is probably what they want to do - the game punishes the player for reading dialogue. Just a little thing to keep in mind, otherwise a charming little idea
Thanks everyone very much for your feedback :sob: :sob: Actually I was feeling too bad to look back at this rough thing (if it could be called a game), your words really are cheering me up. I must make up my mind and do something to improve this game :fist:
