A fun simple game with great animation!
Really Cool. I love the smooth colorful art here! Simple and fun game. I would love a longer version of this with some music :) Great Jam Game!
Nice for someone who just started knowing a engine. The only nitpick I need to do is the controls, who are a bit uncomfortable, since you have to change hands to use Arrows + Mouse and Arrows + Space
This was adorable! i hope your kids really enjoy this! the animation was pretty impressive too, keep up the great work.
Absolutely adorable! It's always hard to have to work with an unknown engine but you seem to have made the most of it! I can't praise the bold and large sprites enough! Such a departure from "usual indie" graphics (tiny, dark and gritty). Excellent! I hope you keep jamming :D
Nice little game for kids! I like the art and animation of the unicorn(s)
Cute graphics! I included it in my compilation video series of games from the Ludum Dare, if you’d like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/cFpZDUQu-Js
Cute game! looks really polished. Great work!
Definitely very cute! Glad to see someone else using Godot too!
very dark, I'd like to know more about these creatures that kidnap unicorns to get ransom money. Do the unicorns keep the gem stockpile on hand for just these situations, is this a common occurrence? what do the blobs plan to do with the money?
Nice game! I liked the graphics a lot, it is clean and friendly, I'm sure youre dauthers also liked it! :) After a week only on Godot this is even a bigger accomplishment, everything works, you have animated sprites, a camera following the player, scene changes, sounds and interactions. Congrats! :)
I thought that, while the gameplay itself was very simple, this is a perfect example of what a Ludum Dare game should be: a very well-polished small concept. I loved your art style, both the backgrounds and characters were very well done. I loved all of the animations on the unicorn. In terms of the gameplay, while it was fairly simple, I found the movement and interaction to work completely perfectly. It would be interesting to see where this game as a concept could go in the future, but if it is a one weekend project to learn a new engine then you nailed it. Great job!
Cute design Nice idea gonna have a look at Godot
Wow, so adorable! I want some eggs to hatch unicornlings too!!
Adorable game! really cute art
Adorable art style! While the animations look smooth, it looks to me as if the walk animation is backwards. The mechanics are simple, but it could be a good start to something more.
This is so charming! Nice and simple, smoothly animated and fun even for adults. Some music would really make the game pop! Unicorns hatching from eggs, that is an interesting concept, haha. ^_^
I love that you set out to make a game that would be enjoyable for your daughters. it looks lovely! i hope they will like it as well.
The game is most certainly good.
I do have some minor remarks that might improve the game. - The starting position slightly suggests i should first go into the mountain. (since we are trained to move from left to right (kids might not be)). It might have been nice to start in the castle. This would be so i could directly pick up some items and so i know where i came from and that i might need to bring items. - personally i would have let the player bring the egg back.
Cute graphics and amazing animation! Also glad to see other people using Godot, nicely done for someone unfamiliar with this engine.
