That's a nice strategy game. It reminds me of risk!. Winning felt quite rewarding. I would love to see a multiplayer version of this to play it with my friends. One thing that I would improve is the fighting system. To me it felt quite random which troops lost. Furthermore it's kind of an advantage for the player that he can attack multiple times, but the AI can just attack once per round. Apart from that, solid gameplay.

@laguna Much love! The notable problems you've mentioned could definitely be fixed if I decided to work more on this game. I greatly appreciate the feedback.
P.S: I rated your game, good luck!

I played through this a couple of times and it was really fun! I like the simple mechanics which makes it very easy to pick up.
The only improvement I can think of would be to provide some indication when a new troop is spawned. Also multiplayer mode would be awesome if I could find some people to play it with :)
Nice strategy game, reminds me Risk. Some explanations about the fights may be useful. Different types of units would have been very fun, but I think you didn't had the time to add that.
yeah, this game reminds me of risk too. It is easy game to pick up because of the simple mechanic. The AI could be stronger, but it's quite adequate for an LD entry! The graphics are relatively basic, though they communicate the playing field well. The engine feels solidly made. I like the tune you've included too. I hope to see this developed further in the future! Well done :)
love this strategy! Really want to auto end turn after all the moves and automatic moves if clicked end turn. In the latter stages tired to walk in all units - the pace of the game drops and the game becomes a bore.

This was super clever! I liked the idea and I looved the pixel Earth! The graphics were nice, and the AI was fairly smart. It was completely bug free afaik.
But I'm going to be brutally honest, I found it incredibly boring. I started in the Americas and the game was completely just moving my squares around to unclaimed area. Sometimes, I moved them onto enemy territory. Still not particularly interesting. In my opinion, this game, unless a major new mechanic is included, is unsalvageable. But, if I would recommend one thing, it would be that you can select "Next turn" with the keyboard because going down there with the mouse when I was taking 10 turns/second was really annoying.
The turn aspect works really well, and the game was fun of course! Well made!

Decent strategy game, definitely reminds me of Risk as others have noted. Combat seemed to favor the defender so I defeated AIs by taking spaces around them until they wore themselves down then attacking to finish them off.
Great work for 48 hours! Clean and attractive presentation, and you even went the extra mile to make the water shift back and forth. Wonderful music. Simple and effective interface! Enjoyable, and if you like what you've done and the engine you wrote I bet you could add all sorts of fun things to this game. Turn it into Supremacy!
This game remindet me of risk too. I remember playing with my friends and yea ... we had fun I guess ^^ Very impressive for a game jam - the strategic gameplay part is very well done! Good job! Good rating!

Nice game! I quite liked the feeling of painting the world my color =). Although I won in the end, a great man once said "never get involved in a land war in Asia", and I should have heeded his advice ;).
Actually, the difficulty seemed trivial, I started as the only person in the Americas, they were all in Asia, and the AIs attacked each other so much by the time I got there they were mostly worn out... having a handicap for being a human player would be good. On second glance, it seems starting locations are random, maybe this will be more difficult if I play again starting near the enemy...
Very polished in a small and elegant way, it was very fun for its minimalism, good job ^^

Really enjoyed this game. I'm not quite sure why I suddenly won. I thought I had to conquer the whole world.
I also wasn't quite sure when I got new troops. And the battle system didn't quite seem to make sense to me, as I won nearly all battles, even if I had less troops than the opponent.
I'd love to play this some more if there was a bit more strategy. For example choosing where to place new troops. Or some kind of bonus that you could unlock for your troops.
Overall, well done!
