Very cute and funny. I liked the objection face. I feel that there is more evidence lying around (based on there being a second page to the inventory) but I just can't seem to find it. Still, fun to play through many times.
I take this is inspired by Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, right? Anyway, this entry is awesome, I really like the gameplay (I might be biased because I just played PW:AA on my DS:P). As usual, I'm impressed by what can be done in Ren'py. Great piece of work.
Thanks for the nice comments. Very much inspired by Ace Attorney. I tried to make it different enough to be an homage and not a copy.

I'm a huge fan of the Phoenix Wright series so you have my seal of approval!

Cute! Really glad someone chose this angle -- my buddy and I considered it and decided it was too cumbersome for us to take on. Nice job.

We fixed the gamebreaker! Come check us out again if you get a chance. :D Your art is totally multiple-click-worthy, btw. Very smile-inducing!

Great! And also very glad to see graphic novellas in LD! Keep it up!
I really enjoyed this. It was light, but the trial was a blast. Nice job on this VN.
Awesome, nicely done!
Was it you who did the fairy card game for LD23?

This is different from anything else I've seen in the competition so far, quite an original approach to the theme and nicely written. I enjoyed it a lot.

Nice. Original artwork. The game has definite style and mood to it, not like any other entry I've seen so far. Music is OK as well. The buttons and menu don't really go with the other art. Would be nice if you could change that.
Nice.

A pretty fun game, although I found it very difficult to take in the mountain of background information and lore it presented.
I think I got the general idea of what was going on, but it was a struggle with so many strange terms and unexplained references being thrown around.
I like your art style, and the idea is neat, but I am not personally a fan of this kind of game in general. The objection screen was funny. Audio was good, too.
I give you mad props for combining: kittens, evolution, Phonex Wright, and high school drama in the same game. That was a lot to do for any game, and you did it in a Ludum Dare.
@rustybroomhandle: Yes, I did the fairy card game. 4 Ludum Dares; 4 games in Ren'py :)
@goerp: That is the default menu. I suck at making GUIs. I need to find a team member that is good at them.
@MurrayL: Sorry about the info dump. I was trying parody the Scopes Monkey Trial so there was a lot of background information to give out.
@hamster_mk_4: :D It was very difficult to describe my game to people. Specially if they hadn't play Phoenix Wright.
Thank you everyone for the great comments and suggestions

Very nice, I played Ace Attorney before and this is almost the same so I think the implementation is flawless. I like the gfx and sounds too. They set the mood right. After all this is a school project. :) Evolution is only in the topic but it has kittens! :D
I decided that as a school project, the legality of things didn't need to be addressed. :)

Solid. I really enjoy the PW:AA series and this was quite well done. Interesting story too.

Overall, I like it. :)
It's surprisingly hard! I just found it impossible to make any points for the prosecution and even as a prosecutor I could only make points for the defense. I must be missing something...
Also, an autosave before the trial would be much appreciable.
