Woah trippy! I like the generous use of interesting architecture =P.
5/5 for theme =)
Nice text scrolling! Interesting battle system.
Well, it is as you said, the light system is cool but that's pretty much all there is. Still! I really liked the premise of being inside a cereal box toy =)
Insane amount of polish for this short time! 5/5
Hilarious! I like the fact that you didn't make the game all about running over the bunnies, which would have been the cheapest humour alternative.
Nice control and polish, the downside would have to be the fact that the Tiny World theme is only seen as a representation of the game edges.
I liked the mechanics! The sound was quite jarring tho.
I actually found the idea interesting, enemies that don't kill you, just slow you down. But I kept getting stuck above and in-between them!
I played this for far longer than I should have...
Fantastic concept and pretty execution! Sad to know that the music had to go.
Definitely interesting and definitely needing of some more slowing down in water,!
First of all, great presentation! I loved the title screen being a seamless part of the level. Nice font, nice colours, and fun music (Perhaps a "Click Remover" would have fixed those bits where you hit the mic while singing =P
Definitely enjoyed moving from planet to planet more than trying to get the green life since the controls were a little weak by my taste.
Overall, a nicely executed/polished idea with decent playability =)
I hate to be "that guy", but you cannot use someone else's music in the 48 Hour Compo. In this case, Kevin Macleod's.
Very nice ending nonetheless!
Solid build! The sky changing is fantastic.
Controls seem to get stuck every once in a while tho?
I have given you 5 stars on innovation =). Will try to update the fun category if I get a chance of trying it out.
A very surprising and cool entry.
Perhaps would have been great to include custom cards ready for printing =D
I found this amusing and adorable. I liked the idea and enjoyed playing it for a while =)
I got the jump boots, axe, ice shield and One artifact; then I died, no restarting/lives was frustrating!
I agree with the others, the positive/negative interaction system has a strong appeal behind it, it makes you wish there were more scenarios to experiment further =).
The Mother(?) and baby sprite were click-able but nothing happened after more than 20 interactions.
I COMPLETED TINY QUEST!
Nice solid little game. I liked the pixel grid filter.
I thought double jumping was hard due to the physics (you start going down as soon as you release spacebar, making you double press really fast).
I agree with the others! Its quite fast and hard. But the idea makes up for a good skill-based little game.
I found this very fun! I was thinking that perhaps the battle stats could have a sort of Rock-Paper-Scissors system. They way it stands right now sword trumps over everything!
Comments!
It got too easy too quickly, I reached over 2000 plant energy and enemies kept spawning at the same rate.
The art and animation is what I liked the most, really nice grass growing animation, main character and cities.
I couldn't understand exactly how Genesis Bombs affected enemies (as stated on the instructions), they only seemed to make grass grow.
Sound and music are definitely the areas where I think there could be the biggest improvement at this stage =).
Overall, a nice and novel idea that I enjoyed briefly =).
Whoa There! This just gave me a massive Nostalgia burst.
Where you by any chance inspired by this? http://hol.abime.net/2463
In any case, good game! Nice and challenging. I'm giving you 5 stars on theme for the creative use of a snow globe =)
Thank you everyone for such quantities of feedback =).
Ive posted the Post-Compo version with the following fixes:
-Camera Controls now with Q and E
-But, moving the camera shouldn't even be necessary anymore, now a proper angle is applied as you land on a planet.
-Added a light shadow to the character.
-Decreased the intensity of glow by a bit.
I loved the sounds!
The fact that the world/game is generated according to the window size was a very pleasant surprise.
I love how emergent/long-term gameplay can be achieved from a simple concept like this, I would really love to see that family-tree browser in action!
Overall, I liked it a lot =). It was funny too. The only downside was the concept of tiny world isn't amazingly procured in my opinion. With the mountains and the speed of construction the scale of the world/tribe actually felt quite big.
Note: The game crashed when I opened another window of the game.
Grrrr, since you cant change upgrades in the last level, it all feels like a preparation for that, I had to give up because I didnt have enough armour!
Good game nevertheless =), its quite entertaining.
Definitely buggy! Haha, but it was fun spinning out of control.
