LD23 — Tiny World

Gum Crisis In Pipe City by jason.bakker 2012-04-23T05:48:00

Haha thanks a lot! It was really fun to make.

When Worlds Collide by AlwaysGeeky 2012-04-24T15:50:00

Cool game! Loved the graphics, particularly the rebuilding the world when you play it a second time. Would have liked to have a bit more strategy to it, felt a bit like a clickfest, but overall cool stuff :D

Nexus Rails by argo15 2012-04-25T16:00:00

Graphically and aurally this was pretty cool!

I liked the gameplay as well, but the way it restarts when you miss a jump is really frustrating, as you'll usually go back 2 or 3 because you get confused about where you are and it's still going really fast.

Overall cool stuff guys :D

Tiny Squareheads by Indyo 2012-04-25T16:11:00

I liked the attacking! The levels felt a bit hard though. Lots of music!

Phi by Thomas Bowker 2012-04-29T08:00:00

Similar to a lot of the commenters, I didn't really figure out how to get started with the puzzle. I really loved the atmosphere and graphical style though. The frogs in particular are fantastic, and I love how you could tell the skybox was a box ;)

There were heaps of little aesthetic details like those that really made this game work atmospherically for me.

Phi by Thomas Bowker 2012-04-29T08:02:00

Oh also, reminded me (in a good way) a little bit of Mirrormoon, a cool GGJ game that was shown in the Experimental Gameplay Sessions at GDC.

Eidolic New World by dkilford 2012-04-29T07:46:00

Cool game! Liked the puzzle element, reminiscent of Chu Chu Rocket.. would have liked to see more challenging puzzles.

Good stuff :)

Leptogenesis by QAZWSX 2012-04-24T15:15:00

Interesting idea! I liked the music quite a lot.

The gameplay kinda felt a bit boolean with the puzzle element - at the start I had 0 idea how to win, and then as soon as it clicked I knew exactly what to do, and from then on it didn't feel like there was any challenge to it. I may have just been getting lucky with my choices though. Does the spacing on the grid have an effect on the outcome of combining a lepton and anti-lepton?

Cool stuff anyway :)

Oh Boy, Oh Boy by Digitalis 2012-04-29T07:14:00

This was very cool! Loved the systemic nature of it :) Can't wait to see a more fleshed out version.

Eye Quest by eigenbom 2012-04-29T07:24:00

Loved this game! Great graphics, and each puzzle was unique and interesting in some way. The final tree puzzle reminded me of some of the great Lufia II ones.

Also, think this game has my favourite music out of any LD23 game I've played so far :D

Stage 2 Chaos by skyboy49707 2012-04-26T15:31:00

Really enjoyed playing this, although it was a bit hard to get into at first. Would love to see it balanced & polished, feels like it has potential :)

Tiny World: The Musical: The Game by pdyxs 2012-04-29T07:40:00

This was really special guys. Thanks :)

Planet Waves by attagcatc 2012-04-24T15:07:00

The wavelength stuff was a bit confusing for my dinosaur brain to fully comprehend. It's a cool idea though! Would be interested to see a more developed version :)

Space Cabin by trylle 2012-04-25T15:46:00

This was pretty cool! Some pretty hard to guess things though ;) But I really liked the art.

(SPOILERS)

I got up to the spaceship, but I couldn't figure out how to enter it or anything.

Nanonaut by alexlarioza 2012-04-29T03:19:00

This was really exciting to play! I absolutely loved dialling a random stargate. Each encounter kinda felt like the Fallout encounters. Loved the different enemy types as well.

My main issues were with the character controls (too slow & sluggish) and not really understanding what I was supposed to do on each planet that I visited.

Overall great stuff guys :)

ANT SURF HERO: THE SURFENING by JigxorAndy 2012-04-24T15:42:00

This was great! Really felt connected to my ant friend, was sad when we had to part ways :(

Good stuff Andy!

Ant Onslaught by laremere 2012-04-30T16:29:00

Looks like I'm the first commenter who could actually run this game - I really liked it :D Loved slowly building up my ant colony and choosing whether to build workers or soldiers.

The only thing that would have made this perfect would have been some kind of threat that was escalating as you were growing - incursions into the nest or the like.

Great stuff - highly recommended!

A Flying Shame by spiral 2012-04-29T02:34:00

Enjoyed this game - the updated version is definitely better though ;) Good stuff!

Demon Hunter by Rocknlol 2012-04-29T02:41:00

Agree with a few other comments, this feels a bit too simplistic but also like it has potential :) Good work!

Godly by Diventurer 2012-04-26T15:41:00

This seemed interesting, but for the life of me I couldn't figure out how to make more humans or those generator things. There were circular glowy things... were those the generators?

Anyway, was fun to make the Eaters drop into the void ;)

My (Tiny) World by TiMMyyMMiT 2012-04-29T02:46:00

Wish you'd had the full weekend, would have loved to see this with an extra day's work on it! Really feels like it has potential.

Tiny Galaxy by Tifu 2012-04-29T03:08:00

This was really great! I'm amazed how much content and how many features you managed to get into the game. Only problem was a couple of the levels were a bit too hard ;)

Great stuff, well done!

Core Buster by Maato 2012-04-24T15:32:00

I quite liked this game! It starts off quite frustrating cuz' the first gun is really weak and the destruction is too granular and a bit buggy, but I enjoyed upgrading my gun and getting better stuff. Well done!

Purgatorio by moonkid 2012-04-29T08:19:00

Very interesting entry. I like your take on it! Functionality wise, there were a few weird input bugs on my machine... but I managed to escape anyway ;)

Well done!
