Woo looks great!

recursor 2012-04-25 15:24

I really liked the low-fi visual style of the game. It kinda reminds me of the old King's quest games.

piman 2012-04-25 15:27

I can't play this because I don't have a Windows system. Sorry.

rodomont 2012-04-25 15:46

This was pretty cool! Some pretty hard to guess things though ;) But I really liked the art.

(SPOILERS)

I got up to the spaceship, but I couldn't figure out how to enter it or anything.

murrayl 2012-04-25 15:58

Funny dialogue, but I got stuck at the end. Couldn't figure out that I needed to 'use spaceship'.

trylle 2012-04-25 15:59

Thanks :) I was kind of rushing through the motions at the end there. Had actually intended a more elaborate ending. Anyways, I've added a walkthrough link in the description. Hopefully, people will check it if they get stuck. :)

demonpants 2012-04-25 17:29

Looks very cool. Any chance for a Mac version?

youdonotexist 2012-04-25 17:36

Ditto. Could we get a mac/unix/web version?

j_peeba 2012-04-25 18:01

I really liked the visuals here. Some of the puzzles could have used more hints but overall I could definitely play more of this!

susanthecat 2012-04-25 18:16

I got an error when I tried to launch:
shader traits: Invalid parameter

Using Windows 7 on netbook.

joshua 2012-04-26 06:23

I give up, but from what I've played, it looks quite good. Good job! :D

tentontoon 2012-04-27 06:50

Couldn't play it. Error on launch: "MSVCP100.dll missing"
Sorry.

rhy3756547 2012-04-29 14:29

It was kind of weird how the game crashed to close itself, but the game was awesome! I loved the shader and the gameplay was great for being so short. I got stuck on a few phrases because I wasn't saying them right, eg "enter spaceship", but otherwise it was well done.

samoojamies 2012-04-29 14:41

Hilarious jokes. Visual style makes a good mood. Good use of the theme. Had to use walkthrough because couldn't figure out all commands.

trylle 2012-04-29 14:42

Ah, if you do get crashes, I'd appreciate it if you send the bug report via the embedded crash reporter, but I haven't actually checked whether that still works. :D

trylle 2012-04-29 14:44

Oh, with regards to ports, I am working on trying to port the game to linux first and then hopefully a web version via emscripten (don't have a mac myself, so I'm hoping a html5 version will do). Dunno if I'll manage to get those done before judging closes, though. :p

moop 2012-04-29 16:02

This is great. The dithering effects really suit it.

naufr4g0 2012-04-29 18:28

Love the low-fi 3D graphics! :)
Story is interesting too.
Well done!

jonathang 2012-04-29 18:39

Very funny game; hilarious axe animation! Had to use walk-through to get out of the control room, light bonfire and use spaceship. Was funny first time round, but probably won't play again. Hope you enjoyed your first Ludum Dare!

geekygenius 2012-04-29 23:15

I couldn't get it to run... :/ The crash reporter seemed to work though.

stardynamic 2012-04-30 00:52

Very interesting. I enjoy the 3D pixel art. Love the game.

johnicholas 2012-04-30 23:01

Great, exotic look and feel.

ilo 2012-05-01 02:39

Nice visual style and humour. A shame that, whilst the puzzles were pretty easy, I struggled to communicate what I wanted to do through the parser. A simple help command with a list of the commands used in the game would have helped a lot.

nebulaorbit 2012-05-02 08:32

Can't get it to work. it gives some error when I open the .exe

roydon 2012-05-05 17:10

Great game! Glad you put the spoiler link though, cause find adventure games frustrating unless the text parser and gameplay is really varied, would never have worked out to do all those things. Love the super fast axe swinging.

tomhunt 2012-05-10 01:27

The game crashed when I tried to run it on a Win7 x64 system with a Radeon 5700 series graphics card (DX11)

paulsb 2012-05-12 13:05

Great! Looks great, clever, funny. Real shame there's no mood-setting music, and I did need the walkthrough a few times (but then again I'm a bit stupid at these kind of games).

valeour 2012-05-12 13:22

Good entry, loved the graphic appeal, got stuck though. ): Was fun though!

namuol 2012-05-12 14:54

I really like the unique visual style -- hope to see a more 4-year-old-GPU-friendly version soon! ;)

menderslan 2012-05-12 15:21

I was completely blown away by your visual style, right off the bat. Great job there. And I loved the concept of combining an exploration based adventure game with a text-based adventure game. It worked really well. I was sad when I chopped down both trees and was told I only needed one tree's worth of lumber. :P Also, the first time I walked into the trees that were "just drapes." Outstanding job.

binary_girl 2012-05-12 17:33

haha i love the arm anim when you shift-walk :) love the dithering ..good job :)

cherrynukacola 2012-05-12 18:11

Crashed on open - complained that a .dll was missing - I'm using XP32, if that makes a difference.
