LD21 — Escape

Land of Colors by ZirconCode 2011-09-01T08:09:00

on the web version, the music didn't work. :/ AWESOME concept though! I just loved the idea and could tell how easy it was to create levels. I want to imporve the game myself! (Can I?) 9/10

NO ESCAPE by jukimv1986 2011-09-01T16:05:00

I don't know if the warping was intentional, but it made it very hard to play. I cant say how hard it was though because of the warping... good game though. 8/10

LD23 — Tiny World

This is You by RAMzuiv 2012-04-23T05:20:00

Is there a Jar I could run?

Tinyman's Adventure by killahnukah 2012-04-23T05:44:00

What synthesizer did you use to create the music?

Tinysoft by wurstknifte 2012-05-03T00:10:00

The beeping at the "To be continued" scared the shit out of me.

The Wizard Delven by Polar 2012-04-23T05:45:00

LOL the only download is for windows, and the screen shot is mac!

Tiny World by Andrew 2012-04-23T06:11:00

Daniel, did you extract the game from the RAR?

Spaceship In The Sky With Colors by fysx 2012-04-24T00:13:00

D: The green circles kept showing up right after my green power meter ran out!

Le Petit by Pixelulsar 2012-04-27T06:08:00

Wow. This game was great! The level design was really good. It reminded me of my philosophy where you teach the player how to use a skill, then have them use it. The ambient strange audio worked very well. It might have been me playing it half asleep at 11pm, but the second the audio started, I was pulled into the game. It was literally the only thing I could think about. I've gotta try that in one of my games! That S thingy is pretty hard though, I had to give up and get some rest, but WOW great work. Best rating I've given so far. The graphics were a little lacking, for next time, I would recommend using the tile system in Game Maker, to add more artistic depth as they demonstrated on with the platformer on the keynote. That's all above and beyond polish though. I would be happy to see this game place. Great job!

"Vesta: Galactic Convict Colony by Phased 2012-04-23T06:20:00

It was so much fun killing all the people! Great game!

ADAM by philcsf 2012-04-24T23:51:00

How do you run it?

Doctor! by ak1011 2012-04-24T05:35:00

Yeah... upload it somewhere. It looks like its on your computer.

Run, Unicorn, Run! by fprawn 2012-04-30T02:29:00

Gets dizzying after a while.

Greed Wars by IgnatusZuk 2012-04-30T00:13:00

WOW. This was alot of fun to play. I bookmarked the web version :3

Tiny Squareheads by Indyo 2012-04-29T22:45:00

I can't get the game to run past the opening animation :/

Fuseglow by spacerumpus 2012-04-26T03:28:00

So it IS possible to enter Ludum Dare without any traditional programming experience! 5/5 for innovation! It was pretty fun too!

Under the Glass by dxdydz 2012-04-29T21:47:00

:D python + pygame! You know you can 'port' it to exe anytime you want, as long as you don't change the game itself. That's completely within the rules. It was pretty fun though.

Giant Wizards from the Outer Rim! by tompudding 2012-04-29T22:04:00

It runs fine and all, but sometimes I can't see my wizard. Sorry, but no rating from me :(

Flip by Kom 2012-04-29T23:27:00

wtf... Its super cool though. VERY seamless. It would be cool if there were some game play though.

Operation Tinder Feat by cacciatc 2012-04-29T22:41:00

Too bad your gun doesn't explode when you get too much pressure...

Little City by dustmyte 2012-04-25T00:34:00

Why isn't this on the GB?

Defend Tinyworld! by shieldofvalour 2012-04-30T00:18:00

Reminds me of Tron.

Tiny World Corporation by Andrew Marsh 2012-04-30T02:42:00

I don't understand how to play. :(

Pixel Story by Flyboy 2012-04-24T05:45:00

I love how much time you spent on the art! It looks really good.

Tiny World by spilth 2012-04-30T05:41:00

No mac :(

TINY WORlDS by machinas 2012-04-25T07:20:00

I'm horrible at word games. It was fun though. I liked the idea of having to reuse letters, that doesn't seem to be common among word games.

Space Cabin by trylle 2012-04-29T23:15:00

I couldn't get it to run... :/ The crash reporter seemed to work though.

Tiny Maze by Fififox 2012-05-13T20:41:00

Pretty fun. It took me a while to realize how to play. :(

Hamster Bowling by tfendall 2012-04-30T05:40:00

I think 4 was the number to shoot for. Very interesting. Good job!

The Big Bang by Zemmi 2012-04-30T05:31:00

I'm not quite sure how to play it.

Revolves by natpat 2012-04-30T05:35:00

Very fun. I played it twice because I didn't know there were only 3 levels :P Its a good concept though.

First Import by iximeow 2012-04-29T22:27:00

The music was neat. I could tell you took recorded samples of you making sound effects and cut them together. I've been wanting to do something like that for a while now.

The Littlest War by poe 2012-05-13T02:26:00

I had the same problem as feyleaf. I did get to play a game though. It was pretty fun. I guess the losing sound was the glitch at the end ;)

1 Seed by Gemberkoekje 2012-04-25T07:15:00

This has gotten one of the best ratings I've given yet! Its really fun to fly from planet to planet. I keep forgetting the sun is a yellow line, and I end up crashing into it D:

TinyBoxes by geekygenius 2012-04-23T06:16:00

Thanks! Remember, you can shoot yourself while sliding!

TinyBoxes by geekygenius 2012-04-23T23:42:00

Thanks tequibo, I'll publish a 32 bit version for people on 32 bit systems.

TinyBoxes by geekygenius 2012-04-24T00:59:00

Yeah, sorry everyone about it not working in 32 bit systems. When it was written it was made for x64, I read that you should use x32 anyways. Until I can get the packaging to work properly, if you want to play it, a manual install of python and pygame for 32 bit is necessary.

TinyBoxes by geekygenius 2012-04-25T00:21:00

Dax, you can press R to restart the level and transform yourself back into human form!

TinyBoxes by geekygenius 2012-04-25T02:45:00

Sorry cosmo. I'm assuming you have pygame installed. I have never heard of Ubuntu either. I looked it up and it looks like its Unix distribution. There is a pygame download here http://pygame.org/download.shtml is pygame isn't installed.

tiny world war by Jonny D 2012-05-13T02:10:00

This made for a pretty fun game! The particle effects were good, but the level graphics weren't as polished. Good fun game play though!

Bottled Worlds by Patacorow 2012-04-29T21:35:00

Sometimes I would clip through walls, and it was kinda confusing. I liked the music though, and the game seemed well polished.

Nano Commander by SmallDeadGuy 2012-05-13T02:20:00

The bots were really hard to control without getting them in a line. It was fin to play though. I lost two games. :(

The Cube Realms by Zoomyzoom 2012-04-29T21:37:00

I'm getting the same error as edg3... :(

This was one of the only games I've played all the way through. Good job on the game play. The graphics (even for pixely) were lacking, but graphics is only s bit of what I rate you on. The music had loads of wrong notes, but I'm not sure if that's intentional or not, because it does create a different mood then some upbeat music done in a major scale. Good job overall!

Core Buster by Maato 2012-04-29T23:47:00

One of few games I played (or could play) to the end!

Stranded by The Evil Cult 2012-04-25T03:55:00

Was I the only one breaking all the pots looking for rupees?

The Last Colony by Wyzfen 2012-04-29T21:30:00

Neat way to do a tower defense, I would have liked to be able to rotate the world to get to some of my turrets on the other side, but that also might be a challenging game mechanic. Good job!

Space Jumper by lucars83 2012-05-03T00:17:00

Wow. I was really in a trance when I was playing this game. That's a good thing ;)

trapped. by noddy2006 2012-04-25T07:01:00

I want to be friends! *Dies*
I thought the text was pretty funny. As a platformer though, it needed a little more work.

LD24 — Evolution

Bomb the Bunnies by Sestren 2012-09-10T00:14:00

Fun!

You ARE the RAIN by alvivar 2012-08-28T09:36:00

no idea how this has to do with evolution... It was really fun though. I played until the egg cracked. Great job!

AInts vs Robots by YSelf Tool 2012-08-27T06:06:00

I tried playing, and it ran, but not very fast. My fps was less than 1. Win7 64Bit Ok graphics card. (Can run tf2 at 60fps)

CritterLab by berkano 2012-08-28T09:44:00

:D Another slick game! That's 3 (including me) so far! Pretty fun to mess around with. Not sure what I was doing, but it still was pretty cool. Great work!

RobotCity by ahm99 2012-08-27T06:08:00

D: It says I'm too lazy..

Adapt or Die! by Datw 2012-08-27T06:48:00

:D yay! another slick game! If you want it to run in 64 bit, try including the 64 bit natives too. You can enter these in the Kongregate contest too. This was pretty fun. I haven't seen that many platformers like this. I don't see how it fits the theme though...

Moustache & Mukset by Follett 2012-08-27T06:13:00

How the hell did you get Mr. Bean to voice act?!?

Darwin's Booby Snatch by Wampus 2012-08-27T06:35:00

Pretty fun I liked looking for all the different birds. The only negative I have, is that the "Place Trap button was a little annoying to click. Maybe right click instead?

Dragonom by Kinokochan 2012-08-28T03:29:00

I like the technique you used to make the ground 3D. Very nice effect.

Stickman Evolution by chaosBrick 2012-08-27T21:34:00

D: I had no idea if I were hitting the guys. I lost with only 50 points... :(

Evolution Jumper by UntitledQ 2012-08-28T03:00:00

Very nice use of the theme!

Slime Groove by cacciatc 2012-08-27T06:25:00

Pretty good. I like how original your use of the theme is. I tried on chrome, but it didn't work, and as Waynetron said, it worked fine on firefox.

Zombie Scientists Had Too Much Kitten by jujule 2012-08-28T09:51:00

I love the style of this. Now I wanna make my own ASCII game!

BLOCKVOLVE by Danilo Bezerra 2012-08-31T01:10:00

I win! Really fun. Well designed as a game. Good job!

Yellow Dog by Barry Abrams 2012-08-31T09:06:00

Don't see how it fits the theme, but it was still fun!

Cellvolution by thewiseguy99 2012-08-27T06:01:00

I'm not booting up IE9...

F*** the evolution by mooew 2012-08-31T01:14:00

I'm not sure if it takes a while to load, but It just stays at the title screen. Win7 64bit

Go Back by Aceria 2012-08-27T23:13:00

I love the trance music! What does this have to do with evolution? The ending seemed like it was slapped on in the last second tt fit the theme. Good game though! I played the whole thing!

Ultimate Plant by nimblegorilla 2012-08-27T07:03:00

:D I love the GOL! Nice original idea.

Neural Nodes by Kmad 2012-09-02T03:49:00

Played till the end. Almost won. D: Good game!

Pipe Defense! by yjaffal 2012-09-03T09:07:00

Pretty neat. I got to 30.

Sweepers! by williamwhitacre 2012-08-27T07:10:00

Pretty fun! Great use of the theme! Worth downloading Love2D if you aren't on windows!

The Last Stand by trylle 2012-08-31T01:05:00

It just plays the music and all I see is a large white rectangle covering most of a black background. Win7 64bit

Red Goo Zombies, or, You Have Been Selected to Die, Naturally by runsintowalls 2012-08-31T09:09:00

Ahhh really hard! Fun though!

Harvest Doom by superstu 2012-08-27T06:43:00

I get how to play. I reccomend putting "Its like Plants vs. Zombies" in the description somewhere, because that's how I thought of it. It was pretty easy though... The graphics were really good. Nice and slick looking. I loved the background track too. Nice and atmospheric. Good job!

Parthenogenesis by kakuremino 2012-08-27T21:27:00

I liked the mood it cast. If you were going for a creepy kinda tentative mood, you nailed it. Good job.

Encarmine by Sailerius 2012-08-29T05:29:00

Ehh.. so much text. I really want to know, what software did you use for the strings? I've been looking for a really good atmospheric string synth for a while, and haven't been able to some up with anything. I'll check back here, so you can post a comment netting me know.

500 years by imef 2012-08-27T23:26:00

"The red tribe found out anatomy is a good weapon"?

LD30 — Connected Worlds

Connected Cultures by Mapboy 2014-09-01T05:27:00

I really liked the music. The game had a cool concept, but I agree that it needs some challenge. Maybe adding options in the dialogue?

Shared World by YSelf Tool 2014-08-25T02:40:00

The game isn't working for me. I see a large gray box, and below it is a number and a button. I think the button switches modes or something. I tried it on chrome and firefox with the same results. I'm running Win7 64 bit. The game looks pretty neat though, you don't see many networked games in LD.

Exin by Mechanical Birdie 2014-09-01T05:33:00

Pretty neat. The sound at the very beginning caught my attention. More games should do something like that, it lucked me in. It was a little confusing at first. I found myself playing with the map on all the time.

Galactic Pest Control by HeyChinaski 2014-09-01T21:29:00

Best use of the theme I've seen so far! Great concept.

Dreamshift by AgentParsec 2014-08-25T03:51:00

Wow, I don't ever want to sleep too stressed out irl now. That shit is creepy.

The Unfortunate Potato by Longarmx 2014-09-01T20:27:00

This is a very interesting idea for a puzzle game. Good job!

Courier by rhaasken 2014-09-01T20:45:00

IT would be cool if there were multiple packages at once, and if they had different values, so you would have to prioritize to be the most effective.

Just an Otter Game by Logan 2014-09-03T06:54:00

The ending... That's a neat concept for a game...

Olympus Reunited by jujule 2014-09-01T07:06:00

Fun game! I liked how the title screen lead directly into the game. I wish I could have seen my score after I finished though.

Abandoned by JPatrick 2014-09-01T07:21:00

Neat game. I didn't know how to use the apples to restore my health. After you cut down a few trees and craft your tools, there isn't much challenge. Maybe make the zombies harder, and add different weapons. I played it for a while though, so it mush be fun!

Hell On Earth by CryoGenesis 2014-08-25T04:01:00

What a fun crawler! And it did work for me Win7 64

Starving Symbiosis by Lasty 2014-09-01T07:34:00

Fun game. I also agree that adding fighting in the game would make it much more fun. Once you figure it out, it gets easy.

2D3DMAZE by boddiul 2014-08-25T03:41:00

That was pretty fun. The concept reminded me of PaperMario 2, where you con flip between worlds. It was kind of annoying though when I would flip worlds and fall when I was sure I wouldn't. having to start all the way over again was somewhat frustrating. I finished though. :D

New Ludum Dare Game by Crowbeak 2014-08-25T04:04:00

I swear, there aren't that many earthquakes where I live.

World Bash by DaGamesta 2014-09-01T05:17:00

It was pretty fun to play. I liked mars the best. I felt that it was a good fit for mobile. Also, getting a play store account is worth it, google has done a good job putting out a professional tool. Being in a group though, you might want to consider putting it up on one person's account, or making a group one.

Connect and Conquer: Emperors by Moosefly 2014-09-03T06:37:00

Wow! That was the most fun I've had playing a LD game in a while! I have saved the game onto my desktop it is so much fun. I liked how you had to build the bridges before you came over, that was a very nice mechanic. I do have a few things I would change though. Some sort of pathfinding to get from one planet, to another that is indirectly connected would be nice. As long as it doesn't break gameplay, it would allow the player to manage their resources better. It was also confusing about what color I was. It seems to change with how many players there are, I would stick to just one for the human. Over all, fantastic game, I would love to see this perused later.

Pluto or Bust by IsaacL.Balogh 2014-09-01T20:56:00

A fun mobile game. I would get rid of the countdown, and make the fuel and oxygen counting down shorter so that the game plays faster, and you keep your players engaged. Some more game elements would be cool. Fun game overall!

Acting Outcome by granut100 2014-09-02T06:22:00

All I get is a gray screen :/

A Broken Mess by TheRealGreyboy 2014-09-01T04:45:00

It was a pretty cool idea for a game. It would be cool to see other mechanisms in the game too.

Between Two Worlds by zeal 2014-09-13T02:33:00

There are some really near ideas going on here, it would be cool to see the game after some more work. I really like the spring jump mechanic, and this game has the best application of the theme I've seen so far.

Multi-Maze by olls 2014-09-01T21:09:00

I like these kinds of puzzle games. Good job!

GRAVCOMM by doomista 2014-09-01T21:38:00

Cool concept for a game. I liked the music. I couldn't figure out how to use the afterburner though.

Nomoj by pvtroswold 2014-08-25T03:53:00

Yea, I need the DLL too, Win7 64. Is nomoj Esperanto?

Nomoj by pvtroswold 2014-09-01T20:19:00

Interesting game. I wasn't sure what I was doing, but I wasn't half bad t doing it. Oh, and nomoj means "names" in Esperanto.

Dimension Jumps by HolyBlackCat 2014-09-13T02:07:00

I loved the white noise in the background, it did a great job setting the mood. I couldn't get past the second house though...

Invasion by Ogniok 2014-09-01T20:41:00

It's very polished for a game jam. I think the game would be much more fun on multiplayer.

Ignis by Fanatrick 2014-08-25T03:15:00

Yeaa.. I didn't get very far. Very cool concept.

Corrected Words by swistakm 2014-09-01T20:59:00

Not working for me on windows 7 either.

TORN by LoHii 2014-08-25T04:32:00

Wow. Fantastic game. This is the best one I've played so far, by far. It really made me think. I was a little disappointing my the ending though, "The answers told me nothing". Great job!

Jet Runner by Pavel 2014-09-01T21:07:00

It's cool to see a platformer, there doesn't seem to be many of them this time. I wasn't able to get to the second world though, I got one of the portal shards, then I couldn't find any others.

Journey to the 5th Planet - My first Ludum Dare! by KevRevDev 2014-09-01T21:17:00

That's a fun platformer. I couldn't get past the beginning part of the second world though, Jumping through the spikes was too hard for me.

Four Sided Sanctuary by pinkduh 2014-09-01T06:54:00

Oh no, not another one of these control-two-things-at-once games. I'm horrible at them :P It was still pretty fun, I got pretty far once, so I'm pretty happy about that. The music was great.

Everything is CONEcted by fauge 2014-09-02T06:09:00

It's a little weird how space is shoot, and mouse is aim. And if you don't want the hud to move around like that, update the camera before you draw it- I had the same problem.

Relative to Scale by Peach Pie Productions 2014-08-25T03:06:00

Very fun! It reminded me a lot of spore. When the music stops at the end, it really creates a cool mood.

Disconnect by banana4life 2014-09-01T21:24:00

A fun puzzle game. The music was fantastic.

Space Haulers LLC by Kaelaholme 2014-09-13T02:11:00

This was pretty fun. The controls are tricky to figure out though.

Quoduonda by Killswitch 2014-09-01T05:05:00

Very interesting. I could only move in 45 degree increments, which was a little frustrating, but I was able to get over it. It was pretty easy once you figured it out, the red and blues are switches that you can use to get to the greens.

Space pirates and rainbows! by djdduty 2014-09-01T04:55:00

This was pretty fun. I would like to see more enemies, they would be fun to fight off.

LD33 — You are the Monster

Georgette by Skyllartor 2015-09-03T06:22:00

Pretty fun. I liked the vibrato on whatever that was for the music. It suited the mood well. The music was a little repetitive, but I didn't mind.

The Humans Are Here! by Flyinpig5 2015-08-24T05:55:00

Pretty fun, I like the particles. The game had good polish for a game jam. I played it for a while but couldn't figure out how to damage the portals though, shooting at it didn't seem to work.

Razed by kewleus 2015-08-24T06:01:00

Fun. I think this would work well on mobile.
