LD23 — Tiny World

Tiny Island Adventure by AdventureIslands 2012-05-01T19:21:00

Great graphics, good level design, and neat interpretation of the theme. It was fun to play, and I beat it, but like others have said, the controls and lack of checkpoints are a bit unforgiving. Otherwise, highly polished, fun game!

Light the Lighthouse by GranaDa 2012-05-01T19:34:00

Great music and graphics, but it really is impossibly difficult, so I didn't get to see much of it before I got too frustrated and had to quit.

Tiny Invasion by Cappibara 2012-05-01T19:39:00

Congratulations on completing a game! Not a bad first attempt.

Vac-Man by rhaasken 2012-05-01T19:41:00

Thanks for your comments everybody! Please use chrome to play it. I don't think it works in other browsers, and I don't really know why.

Athletic's Foot by neosam 2012-05-04T22:24:00

I don't really know what I'm supposed to do.

LD24 — Evolution

Create This by Lobster Games 2012-09-04T23:51:00

Nice job for 12 hours. I liked your ninja and darwin sprites.

It was pretty fun, but it was kind of tough to dodge enemy attacks. It doesn't control very well. The boss was a little too easy. For some reason he didn't aim at me properly.

An Amoeba's Awesome Adventure. by zakchaos 2012-09-03T02:09:00

Some explanation of the controls/goal would have been helpful. Some sound would have been nice as well. It fit the theme well, and it was fun enough :)

Cellvolution by thewiseguy99 2012-09-03T02:23:00

Very simple concept that fits the theme well. I like your graphics and sound too. Nicely polished too. It got boring pretty fast though, maybe add some more interesting and frequent powerups or evolutions.

Darwin Fitotherapy by Rorkien 2012-09-17T02:51:00

It is really hard to figure out what was going on, so I just ran back and forth making potions and throwing them without knowing what they did. Nice job on graphics.

The bloody princess of Ludumia by khoa 2012-09-04T23:39:00

Awesome idea! Nice music, but a little repetitive.

It was difficult to develop a strategy with all the fast movement and small sprites. I think this could be a lot more fun and interesting with some tweaking.

Perhaps more explanation of the inheritance mechanic would be good too. I think I get it, but it's not very clear from instructions.

Entourage by jprogman 2012-09-17T03:04:00

I agree with panzermancer's comments. I think if there was a way to program multiple bots at once, it would be so much better. Also, it would help if they were much larger.

The Lost Laboratory by Kayelgee 2012-09-17T02:42:00

Nice music. I don't understand the gameplay though. I only got anything from decomposing the black cat. Also, I thought that the controls were a little tiresome.

Sustenance by pardue 2012-09-17T02:57:00

I really liked the idea of your game. It was a little bit difficult to figure it out at first. Perhaps a meter indicating how close you are to the desired color would be helpful, and you could give the player some wiggle room there. I think your game could have benefited from music as well. Well done overall and congrats on your first LD.

Chomp! by Perry 2012-09-05T00:08:00

Nice graphics. Sound would have helped though.

The controls were imprecise. If that was fixed, I think it would be a lot more fun. The dynamite was a nice touch. Pretty hard to avoid though.

Evolve and Conquer by skintkingle 2012-09-05T00:01:00

I can't play it. I get this when I run it: "Could not find a Direct3D device that supports the XNA Framework HiDef Profile."

I get this error when I develop games with XNA unless I change a setting by right-clicking on the solution in Visual Studio and changing properties (I think), so I don't think I can play your game :(

My Pet Monster by rxi 2012-09-17T03:50:00

Way too difficult. Really nice job on the art and the controls though. It plays really well, but there is no room for error, and the later enemies are crazy. I would have liked to have seen the rest of it, but I couldn't get past the spikes in the desert.

Growth by spcmnspf 2012-09-04T23:28:00

I liked the music and the graphics, but like others have said, it's not really a game, and the camera can be irritating when planting flowers.

Golden Eggs by Joana 2012-09-17T03:12:00

Like others said, nice job on the animation, and it's too bad there isn't more gameplay! Also, the corn wasn't growing for me in the updated version.

The Brewer by Maikeroppi 2012-09-17T03:55:00

That was surprisingly fun. One thing to note is that I could fill up a bunch of each type of beer, and then they would be waiting there for me to serve. I don't think you meant for this to be a part of the game, but it made it kind of fun to be able to prep in the time between customers.

Boxy the Boxcat in Evolution Escapades by matthias_zarzecki 2012-09-05T00:23:00

Blowing up cars was fun. Nice job!

Upward Mankind by chamberlainpi 2012-09-03T02:30:00

Great music and nice graphics! It seems like kind of a loose interpretation of the theme though. Controls could use a little tuning. It's a bit too sensitive.

Enhanced Man by Per 2012-09-03T01:51:00

Nice job, but I didn't get very far. It is pretty difficult. I really liked the music.

Angry Fish by munchor 2012-09-17T03:25:00

Very erratic controls for me.

LD30 — Connected Worlds

Cable Theory by hadesfury 2014-09-01T19:51:00

Nice graphics! I won, but I'm not sure if I was doing the combat right. I like the take on the theme. I think you could do some interesting things with a two-player connected worlds game like this.

Willy The Triangle by coolo 2014-09-01T20:10:00

Pretty fun game. The 3rd dimension was so hard though. I liked the music at first, but then it got pretty repetitive and distracting, so I muted it. Cool take on the theme. I appreciate that you put the instructions in the game itself.

30 World by dokidoki 2014-09-04T04:04:00

Cool idea, nice job! I am wondering if the harder version is necessarily even beatable. I struggled with it for quite a while.

Courier by rhaasken 2014-09-01T00:26:00

Thanks for playing, folks!

jukimv1986, more cars do spawn every 8 successful deliveries, so I guess you'll just have to play longer ;)

Space Horror by arzi 2014-08-31T23:57:00

I wasn't sure what was going on, but I like the variety of events that happen on each planet. Cool graphics as well. Maybe just a little ambitious for a 48-hour jam.

Space Puncher by ShadowBrain 2014-09-01T00:22:00

Nice graphical style and sound effects! Punching through multiple blocks at once was satisfying. Funny game over screen, but it would be nice if the game allowed you to start over afterwards instead of having to refresh the web page.

The keyboard and mouse controls were challenging. That was my main problem with the game. Why not just WASD for movement, including jumping, and another key for punching? I figured out how to punch up and down, but maybe you could explain that in your description as well :)

Pluto or Bust by IsaacL.Balogh 2014-09-01T21:40:00

I really like the simplicity of this game and how well it fits the theme. Very nicely done!

The amount of time that you have to wait at the level clear screen should be shortened a bit.

Save The Core! by rallebauz 2014-09-01T20:42:00

I like how you can clearly tell the difference between the characters. Sound effects are good, could have used some music though. Overall, a pretty fun, complete game, nice job!

I am connected by falcon11445 2014-09-01T20:35:00

It was really hard to tell whether I was making any progress mining minerals and chopping trees, so I didn't beat it.

Grow your Planet by Natrium729 2014-09-01T00:41:00

I enjoyed exploring the worlds and seeing what kind of changes came about when I connected them. Nice job!

It was pretty tricky to figure out though, especially the toucan.

Invasion by Ogniok 2014-09-01T21:26:00

Looks cool, but I can only run it at about 1 frame per second on my computer :( so I can't rate it.

Linked Planets by Crazy-Goat-Media 2014-09-04T04:16:00

Fun, great graphics, has a really finished feel. There were some bugs where I would win a level without all the planets actually being connected. It would also be nice if you could restart from the current level when you fail.

Planet Jumper by Hot Box Games 2014-09-01T19:57:00

Great audio and graphics. It looks very polished. The controls and the collision were a bit frustrating though. It was hard to get the character to do what I wanted.

Corrected Words by swistakm 2014-09-01T20:49:00

Does not work on Windows 7. I would run it in the console and give you the output, but I don't know how.

Holiday Nightmare by KingBolonzo 2014-08-31T23:08:00

Extremely difficult! It is also unclear why my character kept teleporting around.

I liked the burnt enemies graphics.

Frogging - XNA by gladers 2014-09-01T21:05:00

Cool way to fit the theme. Fun and polished game, and I like how you can keep walking up to increase the difficulty. I got stuck on the insane difficulty though.

A letter for God by bluesky 2014-09-01T20:24:00

Fun game with lots of replay value, but it could be a lot better if you got somebody to proofread.

Starcular by LuisDC 2014-09-04T05:20:00

Challenging, fun, and addictive! Great art and music too!

StarShrimp Trooper by 01101101 2014-09-04T03:50:00

Very impressive entry! I love the art and music. The music fits the game perfectly.

Delving by kakuremino 2014-09-01T00:06:00

Very intriguing, but I could not match anything. The feedback you get when you are incorrect is not very helpful.
