LD30 — Connected Worlds

Interplanetary Harvester by Sestren 2014-08-26T07:59:00

I thought the idea was pretty unique, and the visuals were nice. But I found it difficult and frustrating to play. I really would've liked to be able to rotate the worlds, place worlds even when part of them is outside the playing field, and place worlds fully on top of other worlds instead of harvesting. I played for about 15 minutes and couldn't manage to complete the first mission.

Just an Otter Game by Logan 2014-08-27T02:57:00

Really liked the theme mechanic, it was cool to play around with. Graphics were nice too. But I thought the platforming physics could use some work, it felt pretty loose and difficult for me to control.

Links by esayitch 2014-09-12T03:50:00

I really liked this entry. I loved how the links changed up the gameplay, and also counted as the score. So if you wanted a good score you had to keep changing how the game is working. The art and sounds were pretty nice too.

Super Shaker X by voxel 2014-08-26T08:40:00

Really really great. Fantastic art and sound. Simple but fun gameplay. And lots of levels! I think the only problem I had was that enemies would get stuck on me when they got too close.

Green Dragon by 4xisblack 2014-08-26T08:52:00

I liked the weird movement and the visuals. It would've been nice to have more reasons to explore around, maybe just requiring more blue things. Also the roll directions felt backwards.

Flicker by PapaCheech 2014-08-27T04:21:00

Great audio and visuals, created a nice ambiance. I found the gameplay a little boring, though it seemed like it got more interesting as I got farther into the game.

RGB Worlds by x1212 2014-08-28T07:45:00

Pretty fun puzzle game. I liked the color switching/combining mechanic. The ship controls could have been a lot more tighter though, moving around so slow was a bit frustrating.

Midgord Vikings by sandbaydev 2014-09-12T03:26:00

Really loved the pixel art, very nicely done. I liked the collecting and building gameplay. Some sound definitely would have made doing actions feel better.

gravity by r0x0r 2014-08-26T08:32:00

Nice and relaxing. I really liked the visuals and just jumping around. I got stuck in between two planets after a couple minutes though :P.

Black Box Bandit by BillToWin 2014-08-25T11:42:00

Had a bit of fun playing. I liked the visuals and sounds. But I had a hard time figuring out if the ai moved randomly or had some sort of pattern.

Hop Hop Planet by SnoutUp 2014-08-26T06:21:00

Pretty fun, with nice bright visuals. It felt a little too difficult to switch planets occasionally, and it would've been cool to have more levels. But I enjoyed it overall.

DimLey by Simaflux 2014-08-26T08:15:00

The dimension swapping mechanic isn't exactly new, but you did manage to build some nice level designs around it that were more maze like, which I enjoyed. The opening cutscene was cute. Some music or sound effects would've made playing a bit more fun.

Journey to the 5th Planet - My first Ludum Dare! by KevRevDev 2014-08-27T03:47:00

@Stepwise The gravity changing is the core mechanic, each of the 4 worlds have different environments that effect your movement (minus the first one). And I think I know which part you are talking about, it may not be obvious but you can walk off platforms and keep both of your jumps. So to get through that spot just walk off into the shaft and then use both jumps to get around.

Bi-Bob by Donar 2014-08-25T11:51:00

Really, really cool gameplay mechanic with the colors changing both worlds. I'd love to see more levels fleshing out the mechanic. It was also visually represented really well.

I think it was a little unnecessary to have the top Bob be upside down. It didn't add much and made the platforming more difficult.

Crossworld Club by Artamus 2014-08-26T09:02:00

Interesting take on the theme. Really nice graphics and good sound. Pretty funny dialog as well. I had a good bit of fun with it!

Spacesuit Of Glue by hazzahazzam 2014-08-26T08:28:00

Really enjoyed it. Loved the pixel art and the simple gameplay. Good number of levels too! It would've been nice to be able to pick up multiple parts at the same time.

HEAL by Stepwise 2014-08-27T04:16:00

Fantastic art for the characters, really interesting game mechanic. I'd love to see an expanded version of this.

MMOCRAFT - A CONNECTED WORLD by jdavidson091 2014-08-27T03:20:00

I liked the sound effects. For some reason the PUP option didn't seem to do anything.

Space Haulers LLC by Kaelaholme 2014-08-26T08:45:00

Surprisingly fun, but pretty short. Best graphics of any game ever.

Supreme Tower Racing by Rex Peppers 2014-08-27T03:06:00

Decent game. Good enough graphics, pretty nice sound (although it cut out for some reason about 3/4 into the game). My least favorite level was the one up at the top of the screen, because the character jumped out of the level and made it impossible to tell where he was. Outside of that I had a decent time playing through.
