I love it. Very innovating idea, has a lot of cool strategy and quick lateral thinking. I think I'm going to go play some more right now :).
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD24 → Sweepers!

Pretty fun! Great use of the theme! Worth downloading Love2D if you aren't on windows!
Wow, thank you for all the positive feedback! I didn't think I'd get any comments at all! :-)
Okay, this is definitely one of the most creative games I've played. Pros: a lot of fun, very original, reflects the theme well. Cons: movement is annoyingly difficult, and some of the enemies are way overpowered. Overall, I really liked this game.
Really fun and very on theme!
In my opinion you should reduce acceleration, at least in the beginning (make it a trait maybe). I also can not close the program without task manager. Played it a second time after reading the comments, and started to like it! A couple of nice ideas!
Cool game. I like how you can feel your character getting more powerful as the game progresses. Very playable and offers quite a bit of depth :)
I love the idea, but it is a bit too easy to lose track of where you are under your giant waves of doom.
Ooh I like those graphics and the variety you get with such a simple concept. Mutating isn't always a good thing.
Very interesting, never played anything quite like it. I enjoy the notion of having no control over the direction of your sweep, just having to adjust and time your location. Nice entry.
Have a look at my post-mortem, including plans for the next game (LudumDare inspired)! Link's here: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/2012/09/16/what-i-learned-sweepers-prototype-post-mortem-new-full-game-idea/
