Great colors. Unfortunately, pretty unforgiving :-/

Great colors. Unfortunately, pretty unforgiving :-/
Encountered a bug on the last level where I kept respawning on a point with x = 0. Sad times. But the rest of the game was really fun and addicting - nice work!
Very nice, one of the best games I've played so far! Wish the the old guy's move speed was faster, it took like 15 secs to get from one end of the house to another.
Very well done, smooth game. Nice work!
This was an interesting game! What would make it even better is better transitions between levels (it felt like it was transitioning too quickly).
Can't believe I haven't played this earlier, considering you were my first commenter. Dog dungeon explorer. Yes.
Great work. The randomly changing red bars added an extra challenge and really tripped me up!
You should practice on your writing - it was a bit hard to read at times. And I wish you had some directions to help us out.
Hey, great game! Beautiful planet graphic. Wish the game had more content, it was easy.
Same issue with the stack trace on OS X.
I think you can hold the X button and crash the game (at least this happened to me!) This was a fun, cute game, nice work.
It became really easy just destroying the satellites (at least I think that's what I did) to end the level and beat the game. Fun though!
Adorable!
Wow, this was a fantastic game. Great mood, great graphics, great across the board. I definitely didn't expect someone else to do a point-and-click so well! Great work.
This was an excellent game and all the coding with the lights is impressive. One thing I would change is how objects fall, though - they differ so much from your character that it's kinda weird. I guess that you did this because of the lights, though? Anyway, the puzzles were hard and actually required use of your mind, which I enjoyed.
Great game! Played it all the way through. Very well done. I felt like the bombs took too long to explode, but I'm sure it was done for the challenge :)
This game has it all. Even one of the most popular internet memes (obviously, the good kind).
@bburbank Yeah, I don't know how I get around ever.
@angrygeometry Haha. My relationship with my mother can be best summed up in this Mark Twain quote: "When I was a boy of 14, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be 21, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years."
@MrBarnslig Thanks! I tried my best with the story, but there are definitely cracks.
Eventually holding space worked for me. At the end I saw a bunch of gibberish text which didn't change, and I kept falling but the text never reverted. I guess I won?
Totally made it! Nice little game, aside from the bug that made me build an undestroyable moon base on my planet which just ate up land. Would play again :)
The pieces high above the ground was so annoying to get because I kept mistiming the jump and the movement speed was slow.
Loved the game otherwise though, so simple and clean!
Beautiful little game. Graphics were perfect for it IMO.
Fun game! I really liked the AI for the ants, especially how I had to fight my own ants to get to the food first :)
Great concept, would love a full game!
This game was fun! It was also hard -- your bullets also damaging you was a great idea, though it was definitely a contributing factor to the hardness. In the end it became a race between me destroying the catapult things before my HP bar went down.
Cool game. If you sped up the controls, the experience would be better.
Sometimes the controls went a bit wonky when I jumped - you could cover this up by pretending it gets really windy up there? Cute little game, I rather enjoyed it. I mean, cavemen shooting fireballs!
Good work on this! One tiny criticism: Align the text on the instructions page along a line so it's easier to read. Once again, good job!
That was a really nice game. Cleverly done, and I love the handpainted background.
Aw, couldn't play this! I'm on Mac OS X 10.6 with Python 2.6. I keep getting mem leak warnings:
2012-04-24 23:29:04.623 Python[48133:9537] *** __NSAutoreleaseNoPool(): Object 0x102164740 of class NSWindowGraphicsContext autoreleased with no pool in place - just leaking
Rectifier: Nope, my friend entered with Pygame too and I ran his fine. Then again, he developed on OS X too. That's weird.
Nice game! The controls were a miss for me - CTRL for shooting means that on my Mac laptop, pressing the arrow keys will change my workspace. I wish it was Space instead or something. I have a trackpad so I'd prefer not to use it for shooting games like this!
Great mood. I keep losing! My personal opinion, but the font was hard to read and it was tough to determine the effects of my choices. Perhaps use icons next time as well?
Collisions drove me crazy, but graphics made me stay.
Wow. Way too hard for my puny brain. But very fun game.
Oh man, I thought there was no HP, so I was liberal in getting hit, but there actually is -- got a game over and had to restart :(
I *love* the cute graphics!
It froze for a couple seconds during the same time the other commenters were complaining about. Not sure what that's about. Overall, entertaining game!
A+ mood, but I often got frustrated waiting for the light to come on so I could see the surroundings. I think you could've bumped down the intervals between flickers a bit. This hampered the fun, but overall a very, very solid game.
I felt like this was way too easy, but I had incredible fun playing it :)
Hmm, went a bit too fast. Everything kept dying and I didn't know what to do. I think I won, but not sure. Enjoyable when I did though :)
dat feel. I enjoyed that you could select from different choices, but there's no way I'm going back through that!
This sort of reminded me of those websites with the 10,000 alert windows. I actually never minded those.
This game is like I like my steak: well done. Love how getting damaged made things look crazy.
Nice concept! Became too easy once I reached the green squares, since it just meant I could focus fire on one side and then switching to the other if it got too close.
Kind of weird that I could press any arrow key for it to turn. Got frustrated after a while, and was fun while it lasted!
Man, I can't get past 22m. I really suck at this game, but this is a beautifully executed game.
The web version has a bug where when I tried accessing the locked door, it made me keep walking past it. I couldn't stop walking :(
Fun minigames, and a nod to your use of Mondrian!
Amazing lighting. I liked how breaking the guys added to the difficulty due to the shadows.
Clever idea. The jump mechanics need some tweaking; it was really frustrating.
Couldn't beat level two. :( I think you should have a sliver more jetpack fuel.
Good idea with the radar. I felt like this game was too easy though and the crosshair was a confusing representation of the main character. I liked how the player could remember where the walls were, very interesting mechanic.
Clicking the squares is too challenging on a trackpad :(
Congrats on finishing your first LD on your first try! The controls were a bit frustrating. It felt like a lot of pixel-perfect jumping. Also, dat ending.
A bit simplistic, though I felt like the ammo concept made it harder than it needed to be.
Echoing other commenters - hope to see you in LD again in the future!
I feel like the controls were reversed, since the cat is in front of the guy running. Fun game, I like the ramp in difficulty :)
The OS/X version is a bunch of .exes :/
Awesome. Excellent play on the theme.
Weird game - perhaps I just don't get it. That's ok, I completed it, at least :)
Nice work! Got stuck on the third level, however.
Good game. Jumping is a bit choppy (linear rather than quadriatic) but otherwise it's fine. Could smooth out the collisions a bit more. A few collision errors as well. Wish you could continue from a level though because I died and didn't feel like starting over :( BTW, this works with Java 1.6 too!
Nice graphics, great control. Too simplistic though - which is not necessarily minimalism.
Great game. Took a very long time for me to get to the ending, like 10 tries. Worth it.
Fun game, but too hard for me :( Game over screen lasts a single frame if I press space. If I don't press anything then it shows up and waits.
Whoa, this is an insanely hard game! :) Fun mechanic, though it all moved *very* fast. I dunno if it's time-based or not?
Great concept, I love that enemies destroyed the grid and it slowly restored! Graphics were a bit plain and it felt unfair that enemies knew where I was but I didn't know where they were. I think this serves as a great foundation for a slightly bigger game.
I think the difficulty ramped a bit too slowly. If there was a slowly depleting fuel gauge it might add more difficulty as well. I gave this maximum points on fun, I love this kind of game :) High score: 48,679.
Please make this into a real game. Very Portal-esque.
Beautiful graphics.
I very much enjoyed the minimalistic graphic style and gameplay. It controlled well, but the level design got frustrating after a while; I gave up on Agility.
Hah, the color mixing destroyed me :) Fun game!
Final score: 280. Fun!
Heh, cute game, and you should be able to turn the sprite around smoother without having to keep clicking the arrow keys.
I wonder what it's like to play this game under the experience.
Fun game! There was a bug with the jumping though -- sometimes when I jumped on the yellow tiles, I would bounce really small once before jumping normally again, which screwed up my timing. I would also get stuck jumping -- probably related. I also thought the game was pretty easy, you could skip a lot of stuff (especially with the teleporters at the end). Overall, I enjoyed playing this game!
Nicely done. I felt like some of them ended up as guesswork but I had the sound off (I can't hear) so maybe there were hints in there. Overall, great mood.
Your graphics make me slobber over my tablet. I have to say that this game wasn't my cup of tea this time, but I enjoyed it for what it was: a straight rompin' exploring-shoot-'em up.
The enemies shooting at me always got me :(
The perspective was interesting. I felt like the gameplay needed an extra dimension to it -- like a special weapon that you see in most shooter games.
I really like seeing your graphics improve over the LDs. This game was really difficult because it ran so fast on my computer and the bullets follow me. Health hearts was also a bit confusing to me, I didn't really know how to interpret it. I assume the music is great LOLOL. I enjoyed playing it, good work!
I feel like you could reduce the amount of time spent waiting for the restart to happen, or add a way to restart immediately. That said, I had a fun time getting a hole in one. Man, this was a trippy game!
Yeah, it's a bit tricky at first for sure. That's something to fix for later. Thanks!
For those having difficulty with the game and want some spoilers on how to beat it: keep mashing the space bar and time your jumps. You want to press space while touching the top of the lampposts, where the light is emanating from.
WHAT ARE YOU, SADOMASOCHISTIC?
Fun game, but got a bit stale after a while. I couldn't find the boss :(
Beautiful graphics.
Nice idea, though it was way too easy. Probably because I spend way too much time with RGB :)
I got 95! There were problems with enemies spawning in walls and I felt like the enemy squares had collisions beyond their colored square.
The graphics are insanely gorgeous. It got pretty easy the second time since I put a thumb on the screen to mark where my mouse had been last and just kept hitting the cube that way ;)
I couldn't understand the mechanics :/ Felt like I was looking at an airplane cockpit. Great mood, however.
Fun game, but got repetitive. I really enjoyed the idea.
I didn't get to see that title screen, but I'm looking forward to the post-compo game.
Basically what raincole said. Maybe if I had played Minecraft I would be good at this game :(
Fun, simple game! The instructions were too long for me, for a game that was basically 4 buttons. Something to keep in mind later - the length got in the way of what ended up being a really simple game. I absolutely love the graphics.
Congrats on finishing :) It will get easier, but this is a great start. Definitely better than my first. (I didn't even finish!)
