Adorable control mechanics!
Delightful little game, but could do with a score counter or such.
Well it definitely is minimalistic.
I love the atmosphere of this game, very nice particle effects. However it's way too easy. Also, it would be much better with sound.
I loved the stars scrolling in the background, it was a nice touch.
Too simplistic for my taste, but it certainly fits the theme.
This one made me smile. Good job!
just a BIT too minimalistic for my taste.. some collision detection between player/enemies would have made it interesting ;) still it took me some time to figure out that you couldn't really die, so it's good enough :p
It's the first time I participate in the composition.
I have never programmed in game{closure}, this was a test to see how far I could go.
I could not spend much time, about 7 hours between learning and programming.
I will try to improve the game, with scoring, collisions and levels.
Thank you all for the comments ^ _ ^
Nice and cute! Shame it doesn't ramp upto a challenge!
Not bad, fits the theme and I like it! :D
Nice and minimalistic
Congratulations on your first Ludum Dare entry. This is a good base from which to expand. The game visually feels complete, but mechanically isn't quite there yet.
This isn't really fun to play. That's because there's no goal and no challenge. But it is minimalistic, the graphics are alright and the controls are feeling nice.
I hope you'll expand the game later on. I'll definitely give it a try then! ;)
Good job ! Need some improvement to be a real fun game but very nice start.
Short and sweet. Firing was a bit off till I realized it wasn't single shot. Source code link doesn't work :)
Controlling the ship itself felt smooth, but for some reason pressing spacebar seemed to only sporadically produce a response. :(
Sorce code link fixed in game page, thx Typedeaf.
I know the fire button issue, is caused by a timer to give space between shots. If holds the button works fine :P
Maybe can fix it in another version.
Nice graphics, great control. Too simplistic though - which is not necessarily minimalism.
Nice! Worked pretty nice! Shooting sound was a bit too acute for me ;)
It fits the theme, but there is no way to die or win or even have a score.
like the others, as a first time game, not too bad. But some sort of goal or score, and a difficulty ramp to make it more challenging as you play would be really nice. also, more variety in sound effects, enemies explode in different sounds or something
It has potential (and I really like the background!), but it could have really helped to have:
- Any sort of sound would really boost up the score.
- A steeper difficulty curve
- Done through enemies that shoot at you, for example.
Cute little game. Would be nice if it wasn't so minimalistic. :)
Sweet ship controls, it had a nice feel to it. Sound effects were also really good.
