Sound effects were awesome! Only thing I had a little bit of problem with was with how the camera changed orientation.

Sound effects were awesome! Only thing I had a little bit of problem with was with how the camera changed orientation.
Nice work! Controls felt a bit awkward, unfortunately, also it was tough to tell what the visibility rules were for the human. I kept somehow getting caught while I thought I was hidden behind or under things. Still, good concept and I liked the variety of actions. I'd play a more polished version for sure!
Hey there! Ryan from Stone Monkey here! We would have loved to have spent more time getting the camera set up well, it was probably one of the most frustrating parts of development, so I'm sorry for that!
As for visibility, it's just a simple raycast, unfortunately, now that I think about it, the raycast is from the origin of the human, so he's seeing out of his belly! Again, sorry about that, but hopefully at least that knowledge helps you or others!
loved the idea of "minor nuisances" and the 2D graphics looked nice, but I get the feeling of too much ambition, where you only had one option on all of the things I clicked on, and how the camera was incredibly painful to use, and how the controls just plain didn't work. I think with a bit more polish, it could've been great, as it is it's just interesting
Haha, very funny details, like the "gift" on the toilet :)
The only con is that I could not figure out what to do most of the time!
It's the best jam game I've tried, congratulation. Reminded me that old DOS adventure game based on Kafka. If not for the reallly really annoying camera (you should just gave us mouselook) and ocassionally human spotting me out of his ass (probably) it would have been perfect.
Well... maybe except for the sounds :) "music" was nerve grating
Camera was a little wonky, but overall a very fun game. I loved the music! Do do do doot, do do do doot...
Nice job, though the character controls could've been smoother, it felt like he was jumping way too high, and turning too fast. The camera was also annoying, but nice idea!
Fun game, nice 3d but the camera is very odd and since it seems to be tied to the movement it makes it feel odd.
Haha this game was so funny!
Pretty good work. I particularly liked the overall gameplay, a mix of action, puzzle and adventure to my taste. The controls were a little wonky, and since you need to stay out of sight, I'd have appreciated some sort of easy camera control.
Otherwies a job well done. I mean, this almost has the production quality of late-nineties retail games (Croc3D, anyone?), barring the slight lack of polish.
Haha, I really like the perspective of being this really tiny thing and seeing the huge human walking around. Graphics are great, and the game got a few chuckles out of me :)
I was also annoyed by the camera... maybe a 'look forward' button like in zelda games would have helped a bit.
P.S. I'm not sure if this is something that you've already done, but changing the main camera's 'Clipping Planes->Near' setting to something smaller might help with some of the 'seeing through walls' issues.
I hate your camera, but I loved everything else about this game. Very funny.
Great! I really got a sense of the scale of the character. It really reminded me of games like Katamari Damacy and Mister Mosquito.
Very ambitious! Good job.
Really fun and creative. Great use of the theme. This game really stood out!
Lots of good suggestions for the camera already, but I think for the stealth element to work you really need to be able to free look around easily. I see the challenge of making the controls work for the usable objects though.
Very nice game!
Just It will better know who long is the human more precise.
GJ!
A bit counter-logical to the theme, I'd say, given that you're tiny and the room is huge from your perspective, but that doesn't detract from the brilliant execution of what is in whole a fun and humorous concept. Enjoyable, nice work :)
I love the Borrowers. I was really hoping someone would do it for this theme. I wish we could have gone through cracks in the wall and stuff. Please please please scrap the Third Person Character camera script and use the MouseOrbit script instead. That little move would really help make your game much more enjoyable.
Interesting game. Camera clipping and controls make it not as fun as it should be.
olkeencole (and many others), we tried the MouseOrbit camera controller and it doesn't work perfectly with the selecting objects. Buuuut, with some simple tweaks, we can add in both the MouseOrbit and gamepad support :P. If we put those in, we will put up some links to updated builds on our website.
The game over is brutal so I didn't play it for too long it looks really nice!
The game is not perfect for sure, but so funny ! lot of good idea in the nuisance, really like all the little details. Good job
Very well done game, I love how you have an entire apartment to explore. Very smooth, cool mini map. And its fun collecting the objects around the house
Quite a humorous little game! The voiced music and sound effects were funny, although the music got really annoying after a while. Controls were awkward, especially with the camera.
But still, a nice game, even if it is a bit unpolished.
Wow... great graphics and pretty fun game...
Great for 72 hours!
You scored high on all elements
Really cool! I don't know how easy Unity makes something like this, but building the rooms and all the 3D models must have been really time consuming. The characters look great and animate well, and all the interactions between the various objects are really fun. The controls and camera were occasionally dodgy, but well within tolerances for a 72-hour game. I also didn't feel like I knew well when the human could see me or not. The soundtrack was cute but definitely began to grate after a while - it even moved my wife to comment. Great work - one of the best I've seen, and uses the theme very, very well.
Hey, a game where you get to play as the Borrowers! :D My internet connection is so bad right now that it took 20 min to load this page; but I will definitely come back and play it later!
AWESOME!
D'oh! Am I supposed to trigger that mousetrap..?
LOL I wanna pee on the socket! Please?
Very fun game! Gives you a great idea of what it mjust feel like to be a borrower. 5/5 for Mood! The music would've been enough to drive me outta that house after a few minutes. :) The minimap was essential! It must've taken you awhile to put together such a big, rich house, even with pregenerated models. (Did you use those, or did you whip them off by hand?)
PS I've read the Borrower books, too
This one was great! The premise is very funny and I like stealthy games. Camera controls were frustrating when you're trying to make sure you can see but not be seen. Also the human seemed to find me very frequently with their back turned. Cute sound effects and quite a bit of 3D art for the time constraints!
