Very addictive and solid game!
Sweet music that fits to the game and it's style. I have to agree with Endurion about the pause when you hit something...other than that, well done! :)

Very addictive and solid game!
Sweet music that fits to the game and it's style. I have to agree with Endurion about the pause when you hit something...other than that, well done! :)
I loved the game! It simply kept me playing but the movement could be more smooth or maybe faster falling / jumping - that would make the gameplay faster and make the place for failure larger :)
PS: Especialy I liked that "person" model at the start - it was kinda freaky :P
Well done on LD20!
Maybe that tornado could use some animation and the game could have a timer! :D
You put quite some smile on my face with that game actuly, well done on LD48 ;)
I smell victory for this entry :D
I was angry at those bats! Stealing torch like it's theirs...grrr.
But hey, I had lots of fun playing this solid game, nicely done!
One of the most polished games so far! Well done
Game was tested!
I've kept smiling because of all the funny voices you've made for those computers and doors, big PLUS on that :D
Story is simple yet understandable and it matches the theme. Only thing that bothered me was that walking which is realy slow but other than that you've made realy nice game!
FPS drops very low when you reach 4th level (first one with the grass) and it's imposible to play from there on.
Is there a way to shoot with a pistol?
I'm afraid it's not allowed to use any assets from others in LD Compo, only your personal work.
Oh, thanks for reminding me :/ I forgot to add "Http://" infront of the URL, thanks again mate
It works for me and I don't know what could have caused that. I have Win7 as well and it's working fine.
Thanks everyone for taking your time to leave a comment!
I'm glad darkness had effect on you since that was one of the main factors of the game - I wanted to keep player's pulse high even if there are monsters or not, your torch still has to shine if you want to finish.
There were more plans for the mechanics but I run out of time sadly. I know there aren't many options with 2 type of enemies in the game but it could be envolved further into a nice piece of game.
Thanks again everyone for your comments :)
I liked how you presented the theme to the player and the game itself is realy fun!
Question: Can you do anything else except driving around? Nothing happens when I drive over the people.
Oh, just so I know that I'm not doing anything wrong. Main thing is that you've engaged the competition ;)
So addictive! :D
That's a nice little game! Only thing that bothered me was the spear weapon for which you don't really need any skills. I could just point spear diagonal down infront of me and watch with my hands crossed how everything gets impaled.
Overall, it's really fun, well done! :)
Great game Borkano! I loved spectrum style of graphics and sound. Big plus for minigame to proove that you are innocent. I have fun with this game, very innovative and fun for 48 hours.
I like how you've combined pixel art with painted background. It's a really nice ambient and I loved smashing those people! Nice game Dek! :D
Sweet graphics with smooth gameplay and nice effects. Nice twist at the end, I like that a lot. Well done!
Ok, that goat made me laugh. It's a GIANT GOAT!!! against those little adventurers. You should make a goat move when spitting fire, maybe a bit slower but not stopping it. It's taking too long. Also, it would be nice have a kill counter of some sort. Anyway, too bad you didn't take game further from here.
Congratiulations on entering and finishing LD ;)
Pretty good concept. Too bad you didn't have time to take it further.
It took me some time to find a screwdriver but I couldn't pick it because I had gun in my hands already. Couldn't start a new game even with page refresh. Nice graphics and it really fits to the theme as far as I saw.
Very lovely game! (graphics, animations, music..) controls and mechanics are great as well. Amazing game for single person on jam, you did great :)
Game may not be the most innovative but it's really fun to play it. Simple timing puzzle game with cute graphics and nice amount of levels - I had fun, well done! :)
Nice idea behind the game but it was too hard for me - those beats weren't good for my movement flow :)
Cute, fun and innovative game! With very simple goal and slippery movement makes this game fun. I never thought someone would make a game where one would have to piss(big plus on humour side ;) ). Well done!
I liked the inverse TD idea but like others said already, almost the whole game can be completed by zombie runners. I had problems from level 21 though.
Almost impossible to kill that black'n'white kenny! What I didn't like was the music which was a bit disturbing and tiles could be less bland. Fight could involve some more tactical fight so it doesn't seem like rage-hitting the X. Well, good job on completing the Ludum Dare :)
I loved it and I started to laugh when I pulled the huge goat out of man's pocket. Really cute game! Let me know if this game will be somewhere online with highscores implemented ;)
82 day! I loved the concept - really addictive gameplay watching those minions destroying everything faster and faster. Music fit to the game greatly in my opinion. I liked that a lot.
Shortcuts to build towers would be great but other than that simple tower defense game, well done :)
The game is obviously made in retrospective style and with that I mean - grapihcs, sounds and difficulty - I really loved that. Game is really great except the problems most of commentators already mentioned.
Good job, you did well :)
Haha, old ladies with funny voices .D I started to hate them because of their epic swing-bag-attack. I couldn't finish the game - last granny hit me to death. I liked the game but I felt bad because I don't think there is a efficient way to get granny without being hit at least once.
I loved it! Nice timing puzzle game which wasn't easy as all and that's why I liked it even more. Tough levels and even map editor? Nice! Walking sounds were a bit disturbing though and java buttons but that's not big problem though.
Oh and nice twist in the story! Loved it :)
Game pulled me in at the start even if I'm not good with this kind of games. I came quite far but when I accepted few missions and hired a hitman, bodyguard and police bribe, my money started to drop. It's a nice game overall.
I see you had nice idea behind the game but first of all you should explain everything in english. I don't understand spanish at all so I didn't understand even what Niveau or Cibles Restantes is.
Another thing is that the game seems bugged because at some point I couldn't place torche and I had to switch off and back on the webpage.
English, more hints for where will the bugs come and the game could be much better.
That killer goat scarred me! Some more visual couldn't hurt - like or effect when you get hit or when you hit goats. Maybe you could also make a game more fast pace because shooting intervals were really slow for me. Goat game with a twist - well done completing the LD48 :)
Nice chiptune! It would be also nice if game doesn't hard freeze when you get killed. At least one quick animation or instant "Reset" screen would be nice.
I loved this game! I liked how you combined thematic graphics and music together. Voice acting really fits in the there as well! Too bad you can't win (or can you?) Interesting mechanics using mouse for coordination and keyboard to type letters - it's not that simple. BIG PLUS from me :)
I just had to play it again because of this charming mood! ^^
Haha, nice little game! At first I was like "How the hell can I pick some animals? These tanks are insane!" but I found out proper tactics eventually. I WON :D
Very innovative puzzle game, I loved everything from music, graphics and difficulty puzzles. Good job!
I want to try the game out but it doesn't work on Windows 7 - 64bit
Innovative and fun! Very simple game with great game mechanics, you have my good vote here as well as on kongregate. Well done! :)
At first I thought this goat is crazy and after some time I didn't know what to think. It got creepy once the key was mine. Didn't finish it though. I liked it since it was creative in some way :)
Thanks everyone ^^
Thanks everyone for your positive comments and contructive critics!
@dalbinblue: Dungeon notification would be nice addition indeed like flag notifying the player there are creatures inside. About the victory - I remembered that I forgot to add victory condition 20 minutes before the deadline so I've thrown this in quickly. Game should end when all heroes die (there is also a hero boss comming after the victory screen) but I'll release that in next days as a patch.
@ix: I agree! Game needs a lot of balancing which will be done in the next patch. Thanks for input.
@Alex: Yeah, I simply had to add this LEEEROY thing :) Others said that they were waiting for "Jenkins" as well but I skipped that part. I'm glad it maked you laughed ^^
Thanks again! (I forgot to remove special command - if you press F1 while playing, hero boss will spawn on the mouse cursor position)
Thanks everyone :)
@strong99: Yeah, it's totally doable with 2 dungeons. Balancing should be done.
@Hatscat: Thanks! I didn't put much care to the sounds due to the time limit. Maybe I should at least add TURN OFF sounds next time.
@Benjamin: Great input! Believe me or not I had that in plan, dungeon slots and some fighting system that would make everything more interesting like advantages and disatvantages to different dungeons. Or some dungeons that are for only 1 hero type so you can filter knights off the wizards.
I agree with everything and I wish I had more time for the game. Who knows, maybe I'll expand that to bigger game once ;)
@Christina: Well done! You trully know how to plain a villain ^^ Thanks :D
Thanks everyone for trying it out and your constructive critis :) I've also released Post-LD version with some updates
Changes log:
- Dungeons can accept X amount of heroes at once
- If there are any creatures in your dungeons the flag is placed as a notification
- Prices and gold drops are more balanced
- Creature and Hero stats are more balanced
- Stone Golem has lowered attack power and is locked for first 2/3 of the agme
- Dungeon window moved to the right
- Game ends when all heroes are dead including boss that spawns at the end
- Parties spawned are leveled up properly now
@VDZ: Yes, there are many things I didn't think about at start and then I simply didn't have time to implement. I've done some balacing in the update as you can se and added "Dungeon has creatures" notification. Who knows, maybe I'll make a true game out of this LD prototype. Thanks a lot for huge input :)
Thanks to both of you :)
@sharbelf: you can right click on the dungeon to see monsters
The game is really great! It plays well and it feels right walking and shooting (big +for knife attack). The only thing that was a bit off was that the enemies can shoot when you don't see the or maybe I just got frustrated when I got far to one hallways and kot killed out of nowhere.
Overall, GOOD JOB on the game :)
Woah, really nice concept but it gets hard to navigate trough everything so fast. I had fun :)
One of the best games so far in my opinion. Catchy music, sound effects, nice animated graphics, lots of fun shooting with cannon at the ships and the using machine gun to clear the rest? - Polished and perfect game. Well done :)
I've tried the game and tried it again but I can't get past the "Find the book" part. Everytime I got to the graveyard and use tombstone I get teleported at start or I get stuck if I leave the screen.
Make the girl walk faster maybe? Visual, music, story seems great so far and I would love to play more if you could tell us what to do in steps :)
I like the idea of fighting yourself like you are your own villain. Maybe the fight was a bit confusing but great and special game nonetheless. Well done :)
I really liked the game but I had problem digging (buggy?) at and understanding the whole game but I got hang of it and it became fun. Units could move faster as well (just a bit faster). Overall, nice entry :)
Amazing pixel art graphics, nice music that really fit to the game and very simple yet addictive gameplay (like - yes, I can do better than that, let's do it). Great game UndergroundPixel, very polished :)
Noooo...Princes was not saved :( Well played CireNeikual! Nice puzzle concept, I had fun. Graphics could use some tweaks - less visible grid and some tile variations, but that's just a minor complain. Good game, I would gladly play longer version of it.
Really fun puzzle game! It's like sokoban but with eggs and frying pan, well done! :)
I really like the unique take on the classic game and next to that it's so much fun! I only wish there would be an AI player to play with ;)
Nice puzzle game, it reminds of Chip's challenge and the likes just with more characters. Puzzles are well designed and visual + audio style goes well together with the gameplay. Sometimes I wish I had an overview over the map so it's not trial and error. Overall, I liked it :)
I sacrificed 11 minutes and 2 seconds! journey.png
I really loved the game, was it maybe inspired by Celeste? :) The puzzles are just great and the difficulty curve is almost perfect if we don't last level in the account, that one really pulled my nerve.
The only real complaint I have is that you were using some really big pixel art sprites while the rest of the game was clean (checkpoint flag & cannons). You have such a wonderful style in the main menu and I was wondering why not doing the rest of the game in the same minimalist style? Just a though for the future maybe?
Anyway, wonderful game, well done!
I've tried to do few sacrifices but none were worth it! sacrifice.jpg
Like others pointed out, the mood is great and I love how creative you can get with it! Also, big plus for the polishing level on doll creation and music that fits perfectly.
Awesome entry!
ul1.png There we go, monsters were on a trail but followed it in a wrong direction which turned out well for me (not so well for the lamb though).
Good concept, especially when you can lead monsters around by leaving trails away from the altar. I know you didn't check in for sound rating but monster sounds were terrible, I almost got deaf! In cases like that it's more wise to turn them off completely.
@boundtotheearth Yeah, well, I've learned that from my first LD compo. I did this music loop that lasted 2 seconds or something and it was really terrible & annoying.
I made it! blocky.png
I saw the game on MorgStream twitch channel and gave it a try right away. Visual style is consistent and gameplay is amazing for such a short dev time. I wished for more levels at the end though.
Well done, of the best rated games by me for sure!
All was well until the devil himself came to the village. well.jpg
I had some problems with kids getting stuck between the buildings which caused demons getting to me too early. But apart from that the game is a lot of fun with such a simple mechanics.
It was great watching the village grow, adults turning into solders who charged into demons with battlecries. Watching kids go was hard, pleading to stay alive, calling their parents!
But really, the mood and gameplay is on spot, well done!
test.jpg I did!
So, I pretty much enjoyed the game and progression. However, I have the same critics as @bendev-games . Better gathering controls and some idea what do you need for tool upgrade.
Bottom line - good game! :)
First of all, it has a good feel of ASCII rogue-likes and I like the minimalist and clear design! Too bad it was hard to understand what is the goal and what I was doing, I'm still not quite sure but I've learned how to sacrifice by sacrificing myself many times and then enemies accidentally.
But, I reached the boss if that was boss! :)
Pretty neat & innovative management game! It would need some additional introductory since there's a lot of trial & error to get the village running.
But other than that, really nice visual for the kind of game and the music works really well too! Well done
I'm trying out the game more than a week after the compo and there are no players to play with. Although I really appreciate the effort for MP game I think it is not the best option for the competitions since you will hardly gather players that will be around to test it.
Simple game, I kept sacrificing them but it seems it was never enough :)
Haha, I had quite some fun with it! I think the fall screams go so well with the music, it makes it so hilarious and satisfying :D
I like the idea of sacrifice and the game feel is great, especially when you drag bodies that leave all the blood behind. However, but the levels just got too repetitive - it would be nice to have another use of the portals like smaller ones that replenish health, give a new weapon, key etc.
Good job on the game!!
Pretty good concept to drain your vision for using powers! With that being said, pixels may be just a bit too noisy, may making the screen darker would be more pleasant for the eyes?
Pretty nice little sim-balance game! I tried to juggle-everything and first I dropped shopping then suddenly it was family & work. I thought I could manage that but I left with just Chores & Food - would that make me a vampire??
chores.png
Good concept and big bonus for character selection
Haha, really unique kind of puzzle game and very fun! It was first to understand mechanics at the start but once you get the hang of it you can get really experimental. Big plus for slow-motion!
Woah, really nice idea of not going back and a nice metaphor for life (was it meant to be like that?) :) Music fits well with the consistent art style. Overall, I enjoyed the game!
In the whole game I only got the option selection once and then I put John to rest (not sure which one is john). It was a bit confusing just because of that, otherwise great art style and music - like @simon-parzer said, nice DOS game feel!
trench.png
First of all congratz on your first game! The game in general is nice, obviously you put some effort in art and effects which works well - audio too. I just wish you had used theme a bit more - what you have in a form of soul sacrifice mechanics is great but in your case you could just do kill enemies to open doors. Maybe more usage of souls so you have to balance properly to get past the enemies and yet keep just enough souls to trigger doors and such?
Don't take this the harsh way, I know 48 hours isn't enough to do everything properly, it's just a food for thoughts!
In any case, well done! The boss caused me some problems for sure ;)
I liked the idea but I had problems with movement. Faster movement would make everything more fun and fast paced. In any case, well done!
102 sacrfice level, where is he??? Really cool game, I love the idea and the vibe is great!
Black chicken can become a real threat after a while, if not for attacking you to block the campfire. I wish it could be played with a mouse and better attack feel and to be played slightly faster but apart from that, wonderful piece, well done!
PS: Make this a full game with co-op support ok? ;)
Like others pointed out...SNAKE! I really like how you mixed snake gameplay style with dungeons and maze puzzles! Nice execution!
I really, really love the story behind the game and how you need to collects the cogs in order to power up the start system machine :)
I didn't know the use of slow-down though. I collected all the cogs without using it once (apart from trying out what it does). Also, there is a bug with an elf which deforms if you are not moving.
Platforms are really simple and some cloud moving platforms and other obstacles would add a lot. With lots of improvements I think this could become a really fairy platformer with the given story. Well done on completing the compo!
Good idea, I love how the bird is controlled but the game is really hard, I found it quite impossible to enter the girl's house. If passages would be slightly bigger or maybe a road to the house a slightly longer with obstacles on its way you could just drop the gem through the chimney or something :)
Next to that, wonderful art!
Found all sentiments but missed 2 items. I guess I did what the lady asked for didn't I? :) It's fun exploration game although I wish the movement was a bit faster.
Like other's mentioned, it reminds of me of Agar.io, I guess it was an inspiration? The gameplay is really addictive and I was hoping for some goal but it seems it's only "get the highest score?". In any case, I really enjoy the game!
**Score:220**
ohball.jpg
One of the best and unique games I've played at the compo for sure! I really loved the narrative and the card system which accompanies the story well. Even if you say you didn't have enough time I had a satisfying ending, just enough to get a taste of game that this might be. Well done!
Constructive criticism: - Colored text so you easily know who speaks what (not that I was confused, just polishing detail) - Some gentle ambient music (maybe crowd murmuring when you perform before villages?)
You've nailed it
I really like the idea and the concept but somehow I had a hard time getting on a positive side. I was always in debt, even turns were negative :O
Art and the ambient are amazing, well done! But like others pointed out, controls doesn't work well. Why not following a mouse cursor while holding down left button?
Well deserved, so far this is one of the games with the best visuals and mood!
Hilarious!! Apart from funny physics and sounds I really loved doing headshots with volcano stones. What is missing are combos - combo for blocking the stone with a stickmen and throw both of them to the volcano.
Good job! ;)
Interesting concept for a sim game! It contains some bugs though like villages getting stuck on the houses.
I haven't played many Jam games so far but this is for sure one of the best I've seen! Gameplay, visuals & audio makes the mood that 100% matches the theme! I really love the management part of the game because it's never boring, something is always happening.
The last wave for me! I guess I should invest more time into it  last-wave.png
5/5:crown: - WELL DONE!
@theseusinabottle Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I found out too late that hay bales and even other stuff like river edges doesn't work well with collision system. I wish I would make hay passable (and smashed when doing that) but the hourglass run out! I wish I had one hour extra to fix stuff like that + enemies :)
@jisam I wanted to make minions mechanics fun so I'm really glad you liked it! <3
@barrier Yes, I didn't set the proper resolution for WebGL which would worm with PPU size. Maybe I should do a quick fix for that. Thanks for feedback :)
@erendelous Overlord was for sure inspiration behind it - that and Myth + Cannon Fodder :) Thanks for the amazing response!
@feilkin Hehe, thank you :)
@jk5000 Thanks! Yes, minion control isn't perfect because I have hard scatter offset which won't allow them to go directly to the mouse cursor. I'll be fixing this in the after compo version for sure :)
@daniel-abeleira : Glad you enjoyed it and I'm happy to hear you did the penance!
@justalocalhero Oh thanks! Yeah, I didn't have time for proper pathfinding (had problems with setting up NavMesh) so minions & enemies just slide... Hopefully I can fix it in after-compo version.
@arkiruthis    It means a lot, thank you!! Yeah, the keys are not the best, didn't have enough time to experiment with the controls :(
@sun-wukong @marcellus :heart: :heart: :heart:
@egos : Thanks, I'm glad the mechanics work in a fun way! I feel weird for space key as well, what would you suggest? I had it bound to Q before that but that forced you to drop A or W in some cases.
@goldranger Thank you! There was a plan for deeper mechanics like using minions for protective wall, constructing hellish-cannon etc. but I simply ran out of time. Minions can't be killed currently but I had a plan for Farmer with a Scythe that would smash minions in a whirlwind way. Oh so many options!
Thanks for the feedback, hopefully I can attend to after LD version soon!
@luker128 I'm glad you enjoyed! Yeah, I would also love to make more levels and maybe one day I'll update LD version.
Thanks @adventureislands ! Yeah, haypile was a bad decision...hopefully I will fix that for after LD event. It would be much better to just destroy them when walking over :)
@thisismyjam Woah, what an extensive review! Your thoughts were exactly what I needed through the weekend because at some point I really wasn't sure which direction to choose. Minions were just meant to fight, then you could explode them freely without attaching them and then there was this idea to explode them in order to get powers for yourself. What I did was the final decision for sake of simplicity and I spammed cages around because I didn't have proper tutorial implemented :( But what you suggested is great, relying more on minions than your powers because it really feels great. I might do something tiny out of the game after the competition and your ideas will help me a lot. Thank you again for all the kind words and the time for brainstorming!
@morriss Haha :smile:
@jihem It means a lot, thank you!
@jhell Believe me, I also wanted to make more. Plan was to break into the fortress and fight inside, causing chaos. But empty walls and a book is everything I could do. Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it
@enver-arco : Thanks, me too
@ballo : That's the most important thing to me, I'm glad it worked!
@arkinrev : Haha, yeah, I'm glad I decided to go for exploding minions at the end, it really has its own charm.
@walterp : Woah, thanks, it means a lot and I will do my best
@vatigo Good for you! :raised_hand: You saved a lot, I guess that's the record, I never really tried to go carefully through the level saving on minions. Too bad I didn't have much time to carefully design a level with that in mind. I'm glad you enjoyed and thanks for the compliment, it means a lot
@jihem Thank you!! I hope I can feed you curiosity, Courier of the Crypts will be also out quite soon
@arity : Thank you for such a great response, I'm happy you enjoyed the game! The game might be slightly too easy and more proper pathfinding wouldn't hurt but it seems it works for this version
Actually I would love to make more out of the game in the future but currently I'm busy with other projects I'm working on. At least I would like to make a proper campaign - short but proper. It seems like there's interest after all :)
@morg Thank you again for playing and for the wonderful feedback, it was nice watching the stream! And I'm glad you found minions cute!!
If anyone wants to watch, you can hop to [MorgStream Twitch channel and see the game in action - link will lead you to the Penance gameplay part)](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/345326966?t=00h22m44s).
@bradur Woops, yeah, I totally lacked time for the proper tutorial. Everything was planned but I was away for extra 6 hours on Sunday which is plenty of lost time 😐 I'm glad you enjoyed it though!
@boundtotheearth Cheers, it's really nice to hear such a positive feedback on the game! The extra hidden places should have tents with thugs but yeah, time got me. As for the bug, my friend found it but I couldn't reproduce it so maybe I'll get to it for after the LD version  Thank you for leaving the comment and the kind words!
@mateusboga Yes, that's because I don't use any navigation - I couldn't make the Navigatio mesh working so they minions are just going straight to the player so if there is wall, they won't really go around. And yes, colliers are too big on some spots, especially on the river part.
Thanks for the feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed the game
@lucecyl Thank you  @kciwsolb Thanks, I appreciate it! @cerno-b : Sorry about that, I totally forgot to mark it as such, it should be fixed now. Thank you for letting me know.
Oh, what a present mechanics with the ankh respawns, it really allows a huge variety of puzzles! Graphics are nice and work well with the sound effects. They only issue I had was collision in general (enemies, some walls etc.). Jumps also failed sometimes when I wanted to jump...
But apart from that, nice entry, well done!
Really interesting concept where you need to use sacrifices wisely. I just wasn't sure what is the meaning of sacrificing your own health multiple times while you can only pick one upgrade.
Anyway, fun game!
Ok, everyone said it already, very fun with good graphics and feel! I just miss faster sacrifices in shorter time for even better feel but that's minor. Good job!
Really impressive! I love the mechanics and the humor that goes with them. The visuals are also really neat but the camera angle & tall walls were a bit annoying. You could make the walls lower maybe?
Also, big plus for the tight controls
Simple and fun game although I wasn't sure how collision works properly. I could slip through tight holes just fine losing none or 1. I could then shoot 1 alien to get rid of space trash which yielded the same result. It would be nice to add more openings and make tougher collision for aliens that won't just pass through them so you really need to focus which thrash to shoot at.
Anyway, good job!
Haha, that expression is priceless! But yeah, loved execution of the runner genre with the given theme. Some additional animation like throwing the penguin would add to fun and make life easier on upper slopes.
Are you making this in a full game? Please do :)
I really love the style of the characters and animations which also work great with the sounds. The feeling is just great! The ambient feels great but sometimes it is too dark/unreadable. In any case, I would love to see a game with that style.
Also, is there a reason for me to sacrifice anything at the altar since I can eat food to regain health?
Bottom line - wonderful entry, congratz!!
There is an interesting concept but it took me a while to figure out the rules (and I'm still not 100% sure I understand everything). To me it feels like management game and I'm sure with an introductory tutorial (with 1-2 cubes) there would be easier to get in.
Sounds and ambient works well with the style as well!
It took me a while to understand the rules & controls but once I got a hang of it I became a master trader, pleasing gods while doing an understandable business!
The only downside I see is progression which doesn't does it change over time? I pleased gods greatly but difficulty didn't seem to rise. That and controls which could be simplified with interface intractable with mouse (suggestion mockup included below). sug.png
In any case, good idea, perfect for devices!
@caspercaper17 Not a problem! And yeah, I know, it takes time to balance things well, had the same issue with my entry. Well, good luck! :)
There we go, I've made it! Done.png
I really liked this puzzle game, one of the I played from the compo so far I must say!
There was only 1 confusion for me which started on level 3. After sacrificing blue stone I get teleport at the start of level 3. I didn't know you can teleport back while carrying other stones.
Apart from that, perfect! Visuals and audio are going well with the gamplay
What a sweet little gem! Although I wasn't quite sure what am I doing exactly. I was just feeding random stuff and somehow I got enough bottles to become young. When getting really young I left the lab and fell into darkness, turning into a rat.
Weird adventure of a mad scientist, loved it - 4/5!
PS: Was scientist drinking blood of the dead rats? :smirk:
That's one hard sim game! Sometimes I had to kill the skeleton with a mold and the mold was sacrificed! But really, I like the idea of crafting, selling or fighting. Game could get some polishing on controls about grabbing & moving stuff.
Well done!
I gave up on level 4 with 3 cannonballs. I got an idea how to get across, I was so close but nerves got to me. The game is so much fun, I really enjoyed it! The art, although simple is quite lovely and worked well :)
Well done and thanks for dying fun!
Good concept and idea but execution lacks a bit of polishing. Don't get me wrong, like it was explained already, difficulty curve ramps properly, mechanics are explained on spot and there is also a nice variety of "puzzles". I enjoyed controlling the big orange guy
I was missing some timer on explosive units, some obstacles which I could use in my advantage to re-organize the troops and similar. Further more, shooting off-screen felt like easy victory.
Congratz for reaching the finish line!
That's a really nice game with a pleasant art style and fun simple physics. The only downside I see is that hitting pedestrians takes damage. You could easily ignore this and rather relay on obstacles on the road which would destroy you. Throwing tiny pedestrians around would be cool factor, instead it tries to break that fun.
In any case, good game - you should work on it after the compo and make it into a full game :)
The best game on the compo for sure (up until now but I have high hope for it  ). Really, music fits perfectly with an amazing pixel art style and of course, unique puzzle gamplay!
Hands down! :crown:
**GENERAL:** I really love the simplicity of the game while staying true to the theme. I did few tries but Captain got missing at 17m before the landing.
**GRAPHICS:** Although I love clear shapes I found clouds a bit too rough?
**AUDIO:** Simple but effective for simple game like that, music and sounds fit well!
**OVERALL:** Really nice little game which would be suitable for devices!
@fnissalot Ha, makes sense! I guess we were all rushing it like "Aim high and speed up!" :) Thanks for the tip!
Cleared 21 waves then I quit since it didn't look like the difficulty will get any higher. I hope I didn't quit just before the boss. Solid game but I'm missing more difficulty and hold-to-fire system.
- Sounds were nice but I was missing firing sounds - Like @slashee-the-cow said, ZIP is better than installer for the sake of the whole trying-the-game process.
