Cool concept! It took me a while to figure out what all the interactive objects were used for, but it's nice when you've got the hang of it.

supergobo 2018-12-03 06:47

Nice! This feels like a game I would download on my phone and play too much.

apple-dash 2018-12-03 06:54

Took me a while to figure out, but overall it's quite a nice game

anfaas1618 2018-12-03 07:13

nice game love to play played for almost an hour 5/5 this is the game of dare nice work dude.......... checkout my game here https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/43/sacrifice-must-be-done

khaotom 2018-12-03 07:19

I managed to save 6 :cat: I like that there were so many different actions to try out.

amanda-priest 2018-12-03 07:24

Nice concept. I agree this would be a cool little mobile game. Good work

azamatika 2018-12-03 07:41

I played, nice concept. There's a problems with a UI, you know. Is it possible to save all 10 in any game, or it's just a random stuff?

madrededios 2018-12-03 11:08

Good theme implementation! Though the game is really hard I was unable to succeed once :stuck_out_tongue:

blodyavenger 2018-12-03 11:24

There is an interesting concept but it took me a while to figure out the rules (and I'm still not 100% sure I understand everything). To me it feels like management game and I'm sure with an introductory tutorial (with 1-2 cubes) there would be easier to get in.

Sounds and ambient works well with the style as well!

hungryghost 2018-12-03 17:43

Really like the visual style you've used. A bit tricky to start with but worth it if you stick with it long enough. Well done!

binarylynx 2018-12-03 20:44

Wow it is kind of the concept I had at the beggining of creating my game for this LD. Although in the end I find the result projects very distinct. You did a good job! The game is responsive and fun to play)

badosz 2018-12-03 21:08

Nice game . i enjoyed playing this. Style of the game is nice

jhell 2018-12-03 21:20

Very nice game, quite polished, cool concept... I had fun :)

The only complaint I'd have is that it's a bit hard to parse the 3 needs with their 3 levels, over 10 cubes. That's a looot of info for the player. I know time is tight, but if you consider expanding this I'd go for much easier levels at the start (1 cube with 1 need to explain the mechanics).

iviurray 2018-12-03 21:22

Great game and graphics - couldn't quite work out what each cube needed - would've been good for a little tutorial at the start

j0ye 2018-12-03 21:33

I don't really understand everything, especially because the UI is very complicated and I couldn't get myself to play it for long because I can't understand what's happening. But that's probably because of me. You definitely hit the theme, the style is very simple but works and I didn't find any bugs. Pretty solid for 48 hours. Great job

shadowblaze 2018-12-03 21:40

Took a while to figure out what to do and how it works, however once i got a hang of it was pretty enjoyable to play as well as looked pretty cool. The UI above each capsule was a little confusing to understand how it works but still, good job

thomas-bringer 2018-12-03 22:06

The graphics look really nice! The sfx sound cool, by the way. I think that the rules are a little complicated to understand at first, though. Anyway, congrats on finishing this nice game! (PS: oh, and finally an Unreal game! we're playing almost 90% Unity games here haha)

kunonooni 2018-12-03 22:08

I love puzzle games! While I was only able to save 5 cubes this is a game I'll be coming back to play again until I'm able to save all 10 . Mechanically this is a sound game, and the appearance combined with the music really set the mood.

I do agree that some type of a tutorial might have been a good option to have. Something as simple as a tool tip that briefly explained what each clickable's function was before starting the game.

keksa 2018-12-04 19:30

Took me a while to figure it out, but finally I managed to save 5 out of 10 cubes. Nice game and nice connection to the theme. Also the music was really cool, even though really simple it fit the game perfectly. Great job!

pandanym 2018-12-06 10:31

Once I got the hang of it, it was really skillful to juggle with the different modules, well done ! The only downside is I didn't understand if green was less consumption or more consumption, it's still unclear to me.

Overall this is a really solid entry, gameplay wise !

@ursagames Thank you! 7 cubes is a very good result :-) Random is tough right now and I think it's almost impossible to save all 10 cubes (but that's what the main menu says! :-)).

sargonius 2018-12-07 10:39

@saoi-games Thanks for playing! I'm thinking about making a simpler and clearer version of the game. Currently, it's way too confusing :-)

volkomist 2018-12-09 11:42

Interesting game, but it really quick, but for LD it is OK)

fre 2018-12-11 15:38

Nice game! I like the setting and the randomness in ship design.

The time pressure worked well for me, it seemed fitting with the escape pod theme to have to decide quickly who to vent into space :)

Some couple of tweaks I would suggest for next time: * Make the click hitbox for plates larger than their 3D model (I missed a lot of clicks with the time pressure). * Add more contrast between the alive and dead state of the cubes (the eyes change colors, but because losing a cube is quite significant, this could have much stronger feedback).

Other than that, everything felt very polished and readable to me, well done!

sargonius 2018-12-11 16:00

@fre Thank you!

toulou 2018-12-16 19:22

Good game, maybe a bit difficult because it seems things start to fall apart pretty quickly, but it's an interesting concept and it's challenging to understand what's the best thing to do to save a maximum of person. The camera may be the only thing that bother me, it doesn't seem to have a real utility to make it moveable, a static camera work well in this case. But aside from that it's a good game, I like the simple 3D presentation, it's pretty nice.
