LD21 — Escape

The Legend of Shoe by Alexbrainbox 2011-08-23T20:26:00

sorry, I didn't realize you had to put the "http://" in, so the links didn't show up :/ Fixed!
(That'll teach me to upload without checking late at night!)

The Island by balorian 2011-08-22T17:29:00

Error while downloading applet...?

LD28 — You Only Get One

You only get one digit! by drnick 2013-12-17T23:06:00

Fun! Maybe I'm slightly too much of a maths nerd but I found this to be enjoyable.

The Wizardry of Differentiation by mortus 2013-12-17T20:33:00

This was fun! Slightly unbalanced towards Fire in my humble opinion. But then again I always play DPS mage so what do I know ;)

Given more time and some polish, I seriously think that it could be a hit :D

You only get one pixel by Folis 2013-12-17T23:07:00

Cute as hell :D

The Click Of Destiny by Integershift 2013-12-17T20:44:00

I have no idea what just happened

lights out by Waterman7 2013-12-17T20:37:00

I enjoyed this entry a lot. Not many games run smoothly on my poor ol'e laptop, so props for that ;)

I like how the game feels quite well polished and sets a good atmosphere. Some people say it was slow, but I like the pacing of it personally. Improvements might include some sounds or possibly more detailing in the world. props!

Dangerproof Dan and The Temple of Aarg! by RandomM00 2013-12-17T20:39:00

I like it :D

I'm always slightly disillusioned by linear velocity when falling/jumping so if I were to suggest one thing to add it'd be that. Impressive and tight art and music especially considering the short time frame. Well done :D

LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

World of Hammers by The4thCircle 2015-04-22T13:51:00

+ I like the weight of the hammer and the cartoony effect of the player and enemy characters.

- It would have been nice if the camera could be moved around, maybe with the mouse?

+ The progression of difficulty and the way the hammers grew was really smooth and fun :)

Wonderful submission!

You Are Tim by PapaCheech 2015-04-22T14:19:00

It took a surprisingly long time to find a sokoban game on here this year, let alone a sokoban-time hybrid!

The mechanics seem to be fun. I was playing on a projector, so the screen was even darker than it was supposed to be, but the game was still playable!

Overall, quite fun, and the time mechanics seem to work nicely.

You Can Shave the Baby by chikun Dev Team 2015-04-22T14:03:00

This game was really fun. Some of the minigames were a little obscure (especially the ones where you have to use the arrow keys - i was pressing WASD and clicking on the prompts to no effect). The shave-the-baby minigame did make me laugh xD

Super Boulder Bouncer by BermudaCake 2015-04-22T14:02:00

Super Boulder Bouncer by BermudaCake 2015-04-22T14:04:00

(disregard those comments - i posted in the wrong tab! I actually can't play this game because these computers do not have the Unity player :( )

April Bloom by Alexbrainbox 2015-04-23T15:43:00

Ah yeah, that bug... I fixed it (as a very minor thing, i think it's probably fair to fix it) for Windows, but didn't build for anything else :(

Thanks for playing!

Purging Cuddle Kingdoms by Crumpet 2015-04-23T15:06:00

A fun game! Not too dissimilar from your LD31 entry to be fair, but I do like the novel mechanic of stealing your enemies' weapons and using it against them.

The UI is nice and clean, and everything works well :)

BacterioRage by Squid Blink Games 2015-04-23T15:40:00

The Linux link does not contain the data folder w__w

Killer Robot Stickmen by cdrch 2015-04-23T16:15:00

The auto-loading web version didn't let me control it, weirdly, but I still managed to fill my coin quota before getting to the bottom.

Stick man was cool, but a little more in the way of level design could have made a big difference - particularly with blocks and stuff. Of course these things aren't always possible during the time limits :D

The wall jumping was cool as well. Nice job! :)

Laser of Death X (Prototype) by Divinorium 2015-04-23T15:44:00

"Failed to load Mono" on Linux :(

The "Bureaucrat" by b3jh24 2015-04-23T15:50:00

I liked the use of theme :) Unfortunately I think something may have been wrong for me - there were no text options on the right hand side during the "negotiation" section :/

I Will Be Happy by danielilett 2015-04-23T15:15:00

Really fun game! A very enjoyable arena shooter.

I liked the thematic aspects of using love as the weapon of choice. The introductory text was well written enough that I read and enjoyed all of it - unusual enough for a LD game!

Really nice pixel art work - it would have been nice if the font was at the same pixel size but that might have made it a bit hard to read.

Overall a really strong submission.

Escape The Killer by Nomys_Tempar 2015-04-23T15:27:00

Despite the occasional slip-up with the wording and grammar, I still found it very fun to play all the way through to the end.

It's sadly quite unusual to see a text adventure on here. Often times I say that a text adventure would be best if it came with some illustrations, but this one works really well just in text form.

Very nice!

SoulWeapon by dieblume86 2015-04-23T16:11:00

The concept was really nice.
Art-wise, the levels could have been developed a little more. I really liked the character art though, especially the climbing animation :)

The jumping physics might be something to work on for the next game - using variable speed for jumping is a small change that makes a big difference to game play.

Tres bien!

Gravitas by SpringCabal 2015-04-22T13:44:00

Could you please provide a version in .zip format? Some people (including me) don't have the programs required to open .7z files.

LD33 — You are the Monster

C.L.E.M. by Shackhal 2015-08-27T00:20:00

Great game! Love this style of stealthing game, I love the sprites in the game 'Malo' looked amazing. The game just needs tobe bit longer, and the guards need to loose their eye at the back of their head xD overall a solid game

I Spy (A Ghost!) by OmarShehata 2015-08-28T22:54:00

oh wow this game is an amazing entry! IT rare to find a working multiplayer game as a LD submission, me and my boyfriend play for a while taking turns as the ghost and thief! very fun

Pissed off Zombie by wdebowicz 2015-08-26T22:59:00

Fun little game, if abit unfair towards the zombies! I love the simplistic strategy mechanics! Overall its a pretty neat game, needs abit of tweaking to not allow the human to overpower the zombies so fast!

Moonlight by amy742 2015-08-26T22:23:00

Great little game! There is something strangely fun about murdering helpless villagers!

Monsters Vs. Cookies by kidando 2015-08-26T22:22:00

I love the sprites! and its bloodly hard! Spent 30 minutes playing and I've only managed to get the boss down to half health before being murdered by homing icecream missiles!

Cel by Alexbrainbox 2015-08-25T17:30:00

MrNyarlathotep: It's slightly hard to see due to the page layout but the body text says the following:

Due to a medical condition, I have been doing the Jam one day late (sun-tues).

This will become a proper entry very soon, promise!

Cel by Alexbrainbox 2015-08-26T02:49:00

Entry is up now - should be playable :)

Soup by JoshDBB 2015-08-26T22:20:00

A nice little time-wasting game, and I like the different graphic modes!

I am Death and Fire by derr 2015-08-26T22:19:00

Love the art of the game, the animations are super smooth and feel great! Love the concept of you basically being Smaug from Lord of the Rings burning down towns!

Tricks and Treats by Coruja 2015-08-28T22:44:00

Wow I didnt expect to enjoy this game as much as I did! its overall pretty great, only complaint is the old ladies 'where are you' and 'II'll get you' can slowly grate on your nerves

The Mammoth: A Cave Painting by inbetweengames 2015-08-26T22:26:00

This game man, got annoyed by my slow moving child, ended up abandoning it and it was murdered by the hunters! The art style of the game is AMAZING! it rare to play a Ludum game with actual voice overs!

Cursed Hunter by DANGER 2015-08-28T22:33:00

Love the graphics of the game, with a nice backstory to go with it!

LD36 — Ancient Technology

LD36 by Joff 2016-08-28T20:09:00

Hooray! Actually completed it and found a VHS tape. :D

Pretty tough but it becomes easier once you work out how the snakes move. The procedural generation works fairly well, I was able to find all four pieces and couldn't see any disconnected parts.

Might be worth considering a counter to show how many pieces are left, and you could add easy/medium/hard where there are fewer or more pieces that you need to find, and you can get better/worse artifacts? :D

LD37 — One room

Galactic Petting Zoo!!! by BoneDaddy 2016-12-17T13:33:00

I spent way to much time petting my strange blue bloop ball, I coudnt stop myself the sounds it made tickled me!

Live to Die Again by FisherG 2016-12-17T12:50:00

Nice little arcade shooter :) Really good variety of weapons but the variety of enemies could be increased, as well as adding maybe more enemies that spawn over time?

Good entry!

Keep Listening And Everybody Explodes by grandtheftmarmot 2016-12-17T03:20:00

Amazing voice acting and very reminiscent of its namesake. Fantastic work :)

The Last Room by LozzaDawg 2016-12-17T01:39:00

Not bad - nice smooth movement on the player especially. Had a bit of a problem where hitting spacebar / arrow keys was moving the viewport as well as the player.

Dungeon Market by Omniorcus 2016-12-17T12:54:00

Nice art and graphics! A decent idea too that I haven't seen before, though it reminds me of Shoppe Keep.

The One Roomed House by keckles 2016-12-17T13:21:00

Fun game.

I got my head almost up to the hole in the ceiling and then the TV flew off.

AFK by efno 2016-12-17T10:55:00

The little background music was very quint quaint, it did a fantastic job at mirror me when I attempt todo work

keturi by mitkus 2016-12-17T00:50:00

A nice pico-8 entry :) It was quite difficult and I found the pickaxe but I didn't really figure out what I needed to do with it.

Back To Your Room by jramell 2016-12-17T13:12:00

Decent platformer. I had fun using the corpses to push the alive beer cans into the pits :D

An ordinary room? by Elastiskalinjen 2016-12-17T00:47:00

A very nice pico-8 entry :) Really nice use of the palette especially for the floor and wall textures.

Rocambolli by eri0o 2016-12-17T14:03:00

For the life of me I cannot figure out how to start the game.

Orbiomus Delta by Priweejt 2016-12-17T01:08:00

Nice little arcade style game. I didn't last very long!

The only game I've ever played which seems like it actually *easier* to play with a touch pad!

Room Designer by Jonathan50 2016-12-17T03:13:00

Interesting idea. Snapping tiles together would make that system a bit neater to use, maybe a snapping grid in general.

Pixel Draw by rubensoleao 2016-12-17T14:02:00

Works very well!

Not exactly a game though ;)

One Room...In Space! by rambauldi 2016-12-17T01:18:00

Pretty fun entry. Surprisingly difficult especially on a laptop without a mouse!

Took a while to work out what I was meant to be doing. Also if you restart the game using the restart button the oxygen seems to deplete faster and faster.

Begging and Gambling by Nino9612 2016-12-17T02:10:00

Pretty good entry all round! I like the begging minigame too but a little more variety could have gone a long way.

Really nice use of show-dont-tell humour too ;)

Thug Life Simulator 2016 by nax 2016-12-17T10:58:00

Found the art very pretty, but wasnt sure what todo, I was walking around picking things up :c

Conștiență by Uliana Galich 2016-12-17T12:44:00

Very interesting entry. Nice use of colour too!

Couple of spelling issues but they didn't really affect anything.

one rooms by Aurel Bílý 2016-12-17T01:26:00

Oh wow. The 3D effect is SUPER impressive.

Nice game!

The Lady of Shalott by mysterycoder 2016-12-17T01:32:00

Very arty. I had a really good experience with this game. Possibly the first 5 for mood i've ever awarded.

Room 2106-B by jotson 2016-12-17T14:05:00

Very emotionally charged. Good art too!

Top marks for mood.

Oh! Circle, Dot. by calzep 2016-12-17T02:27:00

Simple gameplay, nice presentation.

The Chamber Scrolls by SamH 2016-12-17T00:59:00

Impressive compression. I'm surprised how good it looks.

What's That Word? by ReactorScram 2016-12-17T02:17:00

Decent implementation. There's a lot of words here!

Crawling Crowd by psychonull 2016-12-17T01:36:00

Really funny. I loved the animations and the music was pretty fantastic as well. Nice job!

Tim in Time by Alexbrainbox 2016-12-17T01:23:00

jramell: that's really interesting - I didn't realize that using the two buttons made the control scheme more awkward. You're right that it is slightly easier to code but not by much! Thanks for your feedback.

Tim in Time by Alexbrainbox 2016-12-17T02:12:00

StarshipTrooper0589: my mistake! Fixing that now, thanks.

Five Star Hotel by paradxil 2016-12-17T02:24:00

Interesting take. Somewhere between sliding block puzzle and whack a mole!

I played the Android version and now my index finger hurts from swiping ;)

Walkie Talkie by managore 2016-12-17T14:00:00

Out of the park as usual.

Tenement Rush by rjhelms 2016-12-17T11:09:00

My high score was 11600 I thought I did pretty good! Fun little game, music was great, the default controls where abit confusing

Storage Guy by Donar 2016-12-17T01:06:00

Really interesting take on the standard block-pushing game.

I loved how frantic it gets towards the end - shame about the occasional bug.

Chemical Chaos by danielilett 2017-01-03T01:54:00

Had a lovely time with this entry. Each of the mini-game "experiments":

1. BURNERS - this one was clearly the most complicated and most of the time was probably spent on it out of all the experiments. It took a while before i was doing anything other than just putting out bunsen burner flames over and over!

2. THERMOMETER - Nice and simple. It was this one which tended to keep the game going for me since a fair amount of the time was running from 1 to 3. Couldn't find any bugs or problems and wasn't too difficult. Maybe changing the drip speed with temperature and/or adding a drip sound could have added to this one.

3. BEAKER - incredibly adorable. Not sure if there was an obvious way of telling which side of "good" it was on - at my last loss i went the wrong way and accelerated the failure rather than correcting it. Fun and satisfying when you get it right, too. However going away from it for more than 5 seconds is pretty dangerous, it gets out of control fast!

Overall a fun entry with a nice amount of variety. Well done :)

Toxic Waste by The Vall 2016-12-17T14:06:00

Seems to crash when I press "play" :/

Throw the Cat! by ahmad4zan 2016-12-17T02:31:00

Very cat! I mean cute.

I like that the timer falls down when you throw a black cat but some in game instructions might help.

Sort of like a cat version of tinder.

Throw the Cat! by ahmad4zan 2016-12-17T02:32:00

Very cat! I mean cute.

I like that the timer falls down when you throw a black cat but some in game instructions might help.

Sort of like a cat version of tinder. Cool.but not hugely thematic. :)

One Room Dungeon by Trasevol_Dog 2016-12-29T15:28:00

Very nice entry, DOG.

One room-one car-one flag by ragnta 2016-12-17T14:08:00

I like the cute graphical style. The gameplay itself is quite difficult, or maybe I am just bad at games!

graphSploder by chromableedstudios 2016-12-17T02:03:00

Not half bad. Played it on my phone - ran fine too. Looks like moving right to the middle of the "m" is a winning strategy!

Room is a Relative Term by qualia 2016-12-17T13:54:00

Neat little puzzle game. I still can't get past ~the second dialog :(

Some changes to the colour scheme might be helpful, and it wasn't immediately obvious that X colour blocks X person. Good use of sound effects.

Bag of holding by kleinzach 2016-12-17T03:04:00

The game seems to crash when I press play, on Android. :(

Pico Factory by caranha 2016-12-17T00:56:00

This was way more fun than it had any right to be.

(1297 on the first try!)

Namcap's Nightmare by bigpan 2016-12-17T13:27:00

Very creepy, nice use of mood. It was quite hard to see on my laptop screen but that was probably the point!

More variety of enemies might have helped, as well as reducing the difficulty right at the beginning (i died almost right away first time round). Good entry!

Feeding Time by leewalkergm 2016-12-17T03:08:00

Decent implementation of a classic game. Nice music.

I like how the fish slows down at the edges of the world but it might be sensible to clip the camera to that same area, otherwise you can see "outside the world".

Graveyard Cleaning Shift by salah 2016-12-17T00:43:00

This works well, and is very suited to Pico-8! Always nice to see more p8 representation :)

Nice sound effects and decent progression too.

Might be nice to see some kind of floor texture, as well as more depth, possibly upgrades?
