I liked the concept of gathering resources while trying to escape something. It made me look at the map and plan my routes to avoid being caught. But the controls could be better. It is hard to spam E while walking with WASD. If instead of WASD you offered the arrow keys as an option, that would not be a problem. Also, I think it would help if there was an indicator of how much resources you need for the next craft.

Your controls are too soapy. Next time try to implement a snappier control of player. Also, my laptop could't handle "s", "d" and "e" at the same time. One thing to keep in mind when designing control schemes. But i don't know if i could do this in 48h. So, good job.

Nice little game ! I like the idea :D Honestly at the beginning I didn't understand what I was suppose to do and for how long. But overall it was fun ! Good job !

test.jpg I did!

So, I pretty much enjoyed the game and progression. However, I have the same critics as @bendev-games . Better gathering controls and some idea what do you need for tool upgrade.

Bottom line - good game! :)

Controls are kinda hard to use. I'd rather gather just by walking into the item rather than press e

I definitely agree that E was a bad button to use for one of the basic actions while controlling with wasd, it makes the game way harder in an undesirable way, you could have used space or something. Other than that I also agree the controls are very... slippery? Not sure what the right word is, I think the type of controls could work with the type of game it is, but it feels very unnatural because humans generally don't speed up so slowly like a car.

Also to increase the challenge you made more enemies spawn after a while, but they just ended up walking in each other and then they continued to walk in each other because they have the same AI. I don't have personal experience with this, but it is a pretty common problem, you can fix it giving each enemy slightly different AI.

Other than that I liked the progression, reminds me of katamari a bit.

Someone's been playing a bunch of One Hour One Life....

Nice job, I escaped!

Very interesting concept and seems like you had a lot of fun making this. A lot of the previous comments I do agree with but as they have already explained the issues and given examples of fixes I don't have too much to add. Congrats on completing the game in time and keep making games, I think you're gonna do great!

Love it!! I would totally make some post jam fixes on that bro, polish it!! <3

I got pretty far! Managed to craft the item after pickaxe. I wasn't completely sure how to chop down trees - pressing random buttons on the keyboard and clicking wildly seemed to do it well enough. Perhaps the hitbox is smaller than I expected? It was fun running around dodging enemies and collecting berries so as not to starve to death. Neat!

e to collect everything @hempuli
