I know It looks really cool
Unfortunately I'm on Windows, too. :(
Nooo.. I'm on windows too :(
I have a Windows Version at http://ben.gauck.com/ld43Downloads ! Sorry for the delay.
Hmm... this is all that comes up on Windows: Untitled.png
I'm using a 4K monitor so maybe that has something to do with it.
The game mechanics are interesting. I found the pace good for my playstyle and the tutorials along the way are definitely good to help understanding how the game works. The music is a bit repetitive but overall I liked it, nice job!
Just a note for the windows version, the UI on the left side covers up a bit of the island, just so you know.
I really like the idea and the concept but somehow I had a hard time getting on a positive side. I was always in debt, even turns were negative :O
Was really interested but sadly, the windows version seems flawed. Getting a similar issue to @jared-york but got a little further but without most important gameplay mechanics. Really a shame as the idea seems fun!
Thank you for your feedback. I am having some troubles with the UI, but I will try to fix things. To answer the question of @blodyavenger, those are not negative signs, they are dashes. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Interesting take on the genre. I think the biggest problem rigth now is the lack of feedback on what is happening. Every 15 turn I was supposed to be attack but it only happened every like 45. And then I wasn't sure if I were in debt or gaining money. I could buy every time regardless.
So my suggestion would be to try to give better feedback on the state of the game. But it's a solid entry for the compo. and the theme is implemented in a way.
An interesting idea, but it is a bit difficult to see what is happening.
I was not expecting to see that kind of game for this theme, but it's a cool idea. Maybe more feedback will be good for the player. Like said above, you don't know if you gain money ore if you're attacked. Otherwise, it's a good thing to have a tutoriel
I like the concept of the game. I'm not sure whether I like the integration of the theme, but oh well thats personal I guess. The only things that I didn't like are the UI (scales horribly) and no visual feedback. I would just remove that whole sidebar, put it at the top or in the corners. It doesnt contain a lot of info anyway, and it makes it easier to scale for a gamejam :)
I did like the pace and just playing it, it wasted (in a good sense ofcourse) a lot of my time so thats great!
