really cool!
Other than the audio being kinda quiet it was a really neat game. Like the idea
wish you could have finished. Like whats done
Fantastic Game! The graphics are cool I found It kinda of confusing to learn but It was cool!
I thought It was fun. The only thing I found frustrating was how I felt Like I should be able to walk through some of the trees and bushes and stuff when I wasnt able to. I like the idea and It was very funny though so overall I really liked it.
Awesome man, My first instinct in this compo was to redo a classic game as the enemy as well. Yours turned out much better though. Its pretty sweet!
Same error as Cthu
I love the idea. And its a nice riff on those games where you divide the floor and I think I like this better than those. It feels more strategic. Like said previously I think the roomba behavior is the only flaw in a well executed game. Great Job!
Great graphics and the game play is pretty good and I like the idea a lot. Music game was hard as spread out as it was and I didn't feel like the feedback from people always lined up with my performance but maybe I suck haha. Good Job!
Awesome job I love the look. I was getting a little bit of a delay / dropped input issue with throwing the snowball but other than that I really enjoyed it. Your art was great and the power-ups neat!
Alot of great polish on this. Looks good and plays well. Neat little game!
This is easily my pic to win this thing. Great job I hope you all decided to finish a release a full version. The wit and art and everything is top-notch! unknown.png
Thanks to everybody who has played so far. It really means a lot to me, I've made some stuff off and on but all the positive comments makes me feel good and excited to make and share more so really a heartfelt thank you to everyone <3
@appix : Thanks so much for playing. Yea I think if I add on I'll increase the planet hitbox some on the small ones.
@silkworm-sweatshop : Thank you! Initially I wanted to make a little area to walk around on each planet and have the story and observations delivered there but the scope ended up being too big for me. If I built a full sized version I def would!
@chiyeon : Thank you I'm glad you liked my graphics and found the text based story interesting enough to play through. The theme was a little bit of a stretch. I got one deep but not a deeper I had wanted to do something with the water planet but time...
@afuturev : thanks for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed my sprites. They were fun to make!
@arttu-halonen : Thanks. I am proud of how the warp mechanic came out.
@abigailcorfman : Thanks so much for your wonderful praise! I wrote a lot of the dialogue and story fast and loose so I'm glad it came across well, I wasn't sure if it would. As I said above if I do a fixed up version later on, I'll def need to increase the hit box to around the planets. I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
@gimmers : Thank you! I would like to make a larger version eventually. In my mind it was ship systems of FTL mixed with the exploration of the Escape Velocity series. Obviously that was too much for one person part-time in 3 days haha.
@m11 : Thank you! I enjoyed making it!
@chase-of-bass : Thanks so much. Glad you enjoyed it!
@madhumster : I appreciate it, thank you!
@adil : Thanks for playing and the feedback.
@t-c : Thank you, it was cozy to make.
@extar : I'm glad you enjoyed exploring my little game. I would love to expand on it post-jam. And yea the pico-8 is my go-to for a comfy development environment.
@tigerj : Thanks I had fun with making it.
@woahitsjeff : Thank you for playing. I had fun doing all the little pixel arts and effects. I wish I had had time to do some music as well.
@sestren Thanks for playing and the praise. I'm happy about how the warp effect turned out. There is an end screen, in addition to the planet with fuel, the other place you have to visit is the sister station, then it automatically targets warping back to the first station for the ending. I might should upload my crude map of the systems for anyone that gets stuck. Thanks again hope you enjoyed your time with it!
@dobrila : Thank you! The night before the last day, I had to make a call on adding more mechanics to flesh out the gameplay, or just making a little story with what I had going and I decided the little story might make the game feel more complete. I'd love to flesh out more mechanics. I'm glad you enjoyed it regardless!
@jkyd : Thanks for the complements. I went pretty light on the HUD elements and actually alot of the existing prompts are just rendering in the default text location to save time. If I spin out a full version I'll be sure to remember your suggestion for clearer objectives. Maybe tracked somewhere inside the ship.
@sorlok : Thanks so much! I was actually really excited to make music as part of the Jam but just didnt quite get there. I started making sound effects before I decided I didn't have the time and I felt just opting out of sound entirely was better than half-completed. Hope to add some at somepoint down the line.
@justcamh : Thanks so much for streaming my game. Glad RNG was on my side of you checking it out. I had to take a breath and prepare myself because I'm easily mortified but, it was really cool to watch someone experience it and I gleamed a lot of feedback and insight no one would type out by watching you play. I'm glad you enjoyed my modest little game and congrats on reaching affiliate!
@super-hadoken : Thanks for playing. I wish I had had time for sound as well. This is a neat little tool you linked. I'm not sure I could port these into the PICO-8 environment but I would probably port the game out to love2d if I made a bigger version and I will definitely remember this tool then. Thank you!
Liked the graphics good work!
One of my favorites I've played so far. Love the gimmick. Great work!
I really like the premise of this and the art is cool and very reminiscent of GB days. I had a bit of trouble with the timing as far as telling when my measure starts. I think maybe some bars on the quarter notes that flash or some thing just to help keep the rhythm apparent. That could just be me though. But really amazing work, very cool!
Love a fun PICO-8 game. The effects are really good. Gives the game a great feel. Good sprite and sound work as well. Great Work!
Pretty fun. I like the idea and the art was nice. Good Work.
Neat little arcade game. It took me a bit to decipher the rules around how the blocks fell but then I had a good time. And yes as others have said, thank you so much for making the pico-8. I sing it's praises to all my friends that want to try their hand at game making but don't know where to start.
Loved the music and look (also yay pico8). Fun little racing game. I kinda wish the player character had a different color or something I don't love the white circle but yea everything else here I love. Great Work!
Cool! It kept popping my steam VR for some reason but the game itself is really neat. Love the music and the look. Great Job!
Neat little pico 8 game. Seems like a fun spin on the kinda downwell thing. Good Job!
Like the art style and music alot. Great work!
Weird in a way I can kinda get behind. Really liked the monster designs and the PSX -esque graphics. Would love to see what else y'all could do with more time!
Adorable! Love it! Its a very smart little puzzle game I enjoyed the difficulty level and both the art and music were fantastic. Awesome work!
Great work on the atmosphere and art. It was depressing but impressive.
Liked the art a ton! Great work!
Fun little game. Gave me mega man bubbleman flash backs with the spikeballs. Great work liked the mc sprite alot!
The movement felt pretty good and the sprite work was great. Neat little pico-8 game. Great work!
I could see this being a fun game night with some friends!
