I need an ending, and that character needs a full platforming series about it.
Good job on the game you made, controls we simple and the patterns we great, still challenging but winnable.

Thank you for you feedback!
Awesome, nice take on the theme. The illustrations are quite nice, I absolutely love that artstyle.
Challenging, but fun gameplay, cool aesthetics, there's nothing else to say. I can't really say anything bad about it.
I also liked how the sleep bubbles and stack on top of each other as we go "deeper and deeper".
Wonderful job! :v: :crescent_moon:  :cloud:
Loved the idea, graphics and the music! This could very well be a me problem, but I wasn't able to figure out how to aim with my attack so I was shooting at the same direction the entire time. Also, I couldn't go back to main menu when I went to the controls page and had to restart the game.
@katriadoodles This is not your fault, because you can't really "aim" in this game, sorry for not making it clear enough ^^ the spirit you control (the consciousness) automatically shoots at your sleeping body in the bottom right corner. You shoot Zs because your trying to get in a deeper sleeping state
Thank you for your feedbacks!
Very good game! Well done! I love the idea. Unfortunalty I didn't manage to go deeper than the fifth level... but the way you go to the previous level is a very good idea. It makes me want to go deeper.
Very atmospheric! I loved the narrative, the gameplay was nice bullet hell stuff. At first I didn't understand that I have to charge up my sleep meter to proceed but after some trial and error I managed to make some good progress. The later levels are really hard and took me a few attempts, but I eventually managed to beat all of them.
Music is very nice and the artstyle works well with it. Good job!
Realy cool game, I loved the concept! The idea of returning to the previous sleep phase when you die is very interesting. The art is also very good. Good job :)
The black ball is a cruel, unkind thing. I enjoyed both the concept and the execution, with the whole "screen shrinks each time you win" thing. Graphics and audio were appealing. Yeah, this was pretty good, well done.
Hey @threaded-lama-digital, glad you (dis)liked the blacck ball :P
We added that at the last moment and called it THE FINAL BOSS.
Programming it was fun, and it's good to hear it feels like it was intended: cruel!
Loved the vibe of the game, the music and the art together give it a really intriguing feeling. Well done!
Really love the graphics! Very interesting idea and the music is pretty good :)
Very nice game. Good job
Really loving the illustration y'all did, well done. Game is very engaging and gets progressively harder, and the last level gave me quite a challenge. Great job!
What a great little concept. The gameplay is solid and enjoyable, and the art is just lovely.
I think it's currently a little too easy to brute force your way through most of it, you can normally just hold down fire and manage to transition fast enough to stay alive with the exception of the final level. Other than that I think it really just comes down to needing more time for refinement and adding more content, everything that's there feels really good already and is ready to be built upon.
Excellent work to everyone involved!
Loved the concept, music and art! The only thing I will personally re-think is how the game teaches the mechanics to the player. I had to play it 3/4 times just to figure out that I had to shoot to the character just to reach the next level. Maybe a little tutorial level will solve the problem.
Nice Game! The graphics were really good and the concept was really interesting  Great job!
Wow, the game is very well
Thank you everyone, we appreciate you enjoyed the experience!
@kovi I think you're right. Maybe adding a longer cool-down between the Zs could force the player the move even more
@h0pe86 thank you for your feedback. Improving the visibility of the progressing bar could also help to clarify the objective of the game!
Overall a Great game! The music and visuals were very impressive. The gameplay was a nice twist to the bullet hell formula, as after I realized that I don't have to shoot all the time like normally in bullet hell shooters, the movement felt quite tactical. The second last map was the hardest as most of the spawning projectiles felt a little random when appearing. Maybe the projectiles could have had some indicators from where they appear that could have made some deaths feel less cheap?
Nice game ! The graphics looked really good and I had fun! I wish there were more levels to play even more :) good job!
The graphics are very well and the concept is fun ^^
Pretty fun. I like the idea and the art was nice. Good Work.
It took some time to figure out what to do at all. At first I just didn't understand what was needed, then it seemed to me that you should shoot at the enemies with the letters z, only towards the end I realized that you just need to shoot with the letters, and you don't need to hit the enemies. The levels themselves are a little overwhelmed and it is difficult to dodge opponents. But the idea for the game is amazing. This is so far the best introprinting of a theme from those that I saw at the jam. You are great fellows and you managed to come up with a really unusual concept. I also liked the narrative part and the general atmosphere of the game.
The atmosphere was fantastic! The music and graphics made me feel like I was facing the truth layer by layer.good job! It's also interesting that the name of your game is only one letter away from mine. You're welcome to play our game and I hope you enjoy it!
@cubanfrog Thank you for your feedback! I agree with you about adding visual feedbacks for the spawning bullets, but unfortunately we didn't have time to implement it
@daquxxn, @rexgame, @tsuk13 Glad you enjoyed it!
@ekaterina Wow thank you for your feedback :D
@stone-studio Ahahah what a coincidence  We will surely try your game, and thank you!
Very nice game! I like the idea of being kicked back to the previous level as a fail state, it really empasises the idea of layers. It's a detail, but the fact that the music slowed down to a conclusion on the win screen made the dynamic audio person in me very happy! Good job to all involved.
@pat-cleaver really glad you liked the dynamic music, we're definitely really happy about how it turned out! Thank you for your kind words <3
I liked this a lot, especially the music! It did take me a little to figure out how to win, but I got it eventually. Great work!
Nice take on theme. Levels were challenging enough to be fun. At first I ran it on weaker graphics card so it was hard to see what is happening in the last few levels because of low framerate (maybe optimisation material but don't take my word).
When running on better specs it was still chaotic (level before one ball level) and random wandering tactics covers most easier levels. In some levels I could get to 80% before objects even start getting close to me. Some later levels had too little space I would say (screen seemed a bit unutilised).
Also it can be confusing if I am going to previous or next level. I also couldn't always tell when I was struck multiple times what happened (maybe shorten indicator especially if it doesn't mean immunity and add death indicator).
Finnaly, exiting your game from controls or when playing seems impossible except by force.
All those remarks are actually very minor, I liked the graphics and the story is nice. Mucis was pleasant and fitting. Each level is different (it is really a shame that players don't see them much when they can rush most levels) and designed quite good.
Great job here I really enjoyed playing this, definitely one of my top games so far! Im a sucker for a good bullet-hell type game so this was great. I liked that shooting made you very slow so you had to time your shots, it felt good to make that incremental progress in between dodging. I was also surprised when the rectangles came out at me, very cool moment. Also, amazing job with the art! I loved the storybook-style intro, it was super well done! I definitely would've loved to see some kind of ending because I genuinely felt invested. Overall superb job!
Very nice game and clever theme implementation. Loved the art on the cutscenes!
Really good job for so small abount of time. I complete your game and find idea about *deep dreams* extremelly good. But here are a few points: - UI so small. Buttons on FullHD looks small, and on controls screen it's hard to find exit button - Bullet hell part is good, but it's starts too late. E.g. before bullets appear you already can fill bar to 50%
Hm, tried to play on Mac and I got this message:
Screen Shot 2021-05-10 at 08.59.57.png
It doesn't look like it was made in 72 hours, it is great
Cool little game. The one level with a lot of red balls was a bit difficult.
Good luck!
The idea is so good! I like the mechanic of shooting the Z to the guy hahah nice job!
Sometimes nightmares can indicate a real problem in life that we often don't notice or don't want to notice. However, if nightmares are becoming a regular occurrence, it is worth seeing a professional. A severe emotional disturbance can also cause nightmares.
