Pretty cool zep! Thank you for making such an amazing tool for making games! I participated using PICO-8 too.

I want to second the thanks for Pico-8! This is a game I could play for a long, even though I'm very bad at it lol.

Same here, thanks for making PICO-8! :D I also loved this game, the music in the title screen is very cute and the simple arcade gameplay is really fun.

Awesome! Super impressive with the hexes, looks and sounds beautiful! I found it very difficult to predict what was going to happen with bits of terrain falling and died a lot. Made it to level 2 once, died with 23 points.

Loved the visuals and the audio fit perfectly with them. I really appreciated having to tap twice to dig through a block because A.) it saved me from bad decisions and bad key presses and B.) it made it feel like digging. I expected to play a lot of this game, but I never got all that far because I was having trouble understanding the rules for why blocks fell or not. Sometimes it seemed like there was a more than enough connections left and they still fell, or a chunk broke from a weak connection off screen. I, personally, would have preferred either more or less minesweeper-esque decision-making.

I also enjoyed the dramatic change between the surface visual and the underground. I would have loved to see more changes, but maybe I just didn't get that far.

What a good game! It is fun, it is beautiful, it is easy, it is hard, it is simple... It is great!

Well, it can be a bit repetitive if you play for hours, and at first it is hard to see what part of the ground would crush you, but it is a good arcade ideal to occasionally waste some minutes digging. It would exist as a coin up and I would spend some coins on it.

Neat little arcade game. It took me a bit to decipher the rules around how the blocks fell but then I had a good time. And yes as others have said, thank you so much for making the pico-8. I sing it's praises to all my friends that want to try their hand at game making but don't know where to start.

Controls and polish were great! Thought the SFX and art were on point as well. It took a while to learn how the rocks/ground fell, but it felt fair and enjoyable. Great work!

I liked very much! It's hard, but really fun. I spent a lot of time trying to get a good score, but I'm afraid I'm not a good player in your game. Simple and sensational idea! Game well thought out and very polished. Go to my list of Pico8 games.

Congratulations on making such a good game alone and in such a short time.

Super solid and complete entry, amazing job, especially for a compo game. I especially like the graphics and the pace of gameplay. It's super challenging, but it's so easy and quick to start a new game that it never feels too frustrating when you lose. Well done!

I'll probably come back and play this some more at some point! Ended up making it to level 3 with a top score (so far) of 32.

This was frustratingly good in that, I would get too confident and start digging downward only to get crushed by a boulder, or, start digging to the side forgetting to make sure the dirt was being supported. Every death made me want to play a bit further :joy:
