LD35 — Shapeshift

Stay Frosty by taviandir 2016-04-21T19:36:00

The gameplay is solid, but the Theme implementation is not very good.

Thank you Skruffye the difficulty curve it's a little bit tricky I know, but no time to adjust it better and I though it will be better to have a difficult one to imagine how a more balanced gameplay will look like, but lasting more time per play.

Good point taviandir I did not tested this (but I though it will happen), surely the error is an integer overflow when you get past 65k points xD

Thank you guys for the feedback, the difficulty curve is shitty and I knew.

The sound was added at the end because I had a problem with the font and the countdown is barely visible and I added it to help the player to know when the background was going to switch and then, I've realized that when there are less than 3 seconds to react it did not work well and I did not have time to find a better solution than adding a constant "WARNING YOUR GOING TO BE FUCKED" sound :S

Great idea and game but poor interpretation (gameplay wise) of the theme. Great work anyways :D

Thank you ;)

LD37 — One room

One room, one life by Ygogo 2016-12-13T22:57:00

Great one, I liked how it was, with the mini-games and the stress management :D

Many thanks for the comments :D

Many thanks for you comments again. We feared some rooms will be hard (for me blue was complicated) and I'm happy that's challenging not frustrating :D

What happened to Michael? by BubsyPoochies 2016-12-13T09:04:00

Great one, I've been able to see how it grew (we were in the same location in the real world doing the jam) and it looks gorgeous in its final build :D

As Sebastien said. It's imperative to be able to skip the dialog, specially in the conversation with the mother when you're leaving because it's looooong.

The P&C system worked well but some times it fails to show the usable icon. For example if you are reading the "Not now" in screen and you place the cursor in another clickable element it will not change. You need to mouse-out and mouse-over again.

Don't Frag 'em All by Theck 2017-12-05T12:16:06Z

Many thanks for your feedback, did not noticed some of them like bullets block you xD

A lot of what you comment are the Dual Stick Shooter Template from UE4 I did not replaced due to the lack of time, but if I continue developing the proto I'm sure I'll change these things.

Again, many thanks for playing it ^^

Thank you @zgragselus for leaving a comment.

In fact I tuned down the light intensity because it was too easy at first to play the game and I was not able to invest more time to adjust that kind of features. I though on adding a count of enemies left next to the progress bar but not where they are, good point.

Bullets are from the template, I did not changed a line there because it worked and I preferred to invest the time on features for the idea I had.

Many thanks again

My Greedy Dog Steve by Honest Dan 2017-12-07T00:02:43Z

I liked it, maybe not the best animation, but the sprites are great. The gameplay is good and I think the approach to theme is correct.
