Reupload your build. The game starts with an unresponsive main menu, I can't start the actual game :(

batmagus 2016-04-19 10:46

Congratulations on completing your first game jam! I'm not too sure what's going on with the different people jumping over things, but platform jumping is always good for a challenge. It would be good if you could look at improving the precision of the hit boxes for the player and objects, since that plays a pretty big part in making platform jumping feel good.

For your first game, it's nice. Base mechanics work well.

Try making games outside of contests to have a better grasp on time management.

Thank you for the nice words, the main menu is responsive, I have no idea why it didin't work for you. The the different people jumping over the things are the same man going trough different ages, he started as a monkey man thing and evolved over the levels, I mostly make 3D projects so this was new to me, will make the collision better next time.

I dont know if it was intentional or not, but i love that human characters are shaped like penguins and walk like penguins! :D
Good job!

Congrats on having something that you can play. I think that the characters are quite well-drawn. I'd add to the list of reccomendations that you should not stretch the pixel art the way you sometimes did because it makes everything look quite blurry...

ocarson 2016-04-19 12:52

Good first try, would like to see you do some more.

growthrateomega 2016-04-19 12:55

The main menu is not 100% responsive, and I couldn't access the credits, but, this was pretty fun for how simple the mechanics and graphics are. However, for a first jam entry, this is really good c':
Also, the last (I believe it was supposed to be 'futuristic' )part of the game looks somewhat strange and confusing~

teamross 2016-04-19 13:07

Really good to be a first attemp!

The menu started working for me after setting properly my resolution on launch, people!

Good job! And nice costumes!

pulsorhd 2016-04-19 13:28

The las part was very rushed, because of time. Thank you all for the tips and notices!

verzoto 2016-04-19 17:45

You first game! Congratulations! Good job, keep working!

teamkawaiiju 2016-04-19 17:57

Congrats on finishing your first game jam! I noticed there was some kind of mechanic with jumping, where certain jumps were higher than others, regardless of how long I held down the spacebar. Might have been a glitch though, haha.

As far as level design goes, it's all pretty much one way. Would be nice to have a bit of directional variety. Overall, though, I had fun playing it! Nice work!

Congratulations on your first game and welcome to Ludum Dare, I hope that participate in the next, I remember my first LD 4 months ago was a great experience and learned a lot. Good game and good work ..

pulsorhd 2016-04-19 18:07

Actually I can't wait for the next one, and will definitely participate in it.

allstar602 2016-04-19 18:52

I had a lot of fun. The jumping control was a bit confusing at first and I was trying to tap it to jump. Then I figured out you can hold it down. I loved how the character became more advanced as the levels progressed. (or at least thats what I got from it.) Congrats on your first game jam. It was my first time too :)

aceyt 2016-04-19 19:21

Well done, it has everything to be a game, and I really enjoyed the last level with the tweak in the jump mechanics where the moving platform influence the height.
It surprised me the first time, especially at the finish, but it was well designed

red_fan-games 2016-04-20 01:06

Nice job.

kariamoss 2016-04-20 09:27

The main menu isn't responsive, I can't play

santiandrade 2016-04-20 19:45

The game mechanic is a bit simple but it work well. Congratulations ;)

jcsirron 2016-04-24 18:25

This is a pretty solid first attempt. Sometimes the jumping had a variable effect, like jumping vertically versus horizontally. I liked the little stubby legs while walking.

mayank-technical 2016-04-26 20:02

Big congrats finally you entered up with your great game. Keep it up the spirit
